REV'IT Fairfax Shoes

Shaped as fashionable sneakers, the REVIT Fairfax Shoes can fool anyone when it comes to protection. Don't be fooled by its appearance, though; the Fairfax are equipped with the protection one expects from a true motorcycle shoe. A thermoformed heel cup and toe cap and an injected ankle cup provide protection that is critical while riding. Once off the bike, the Fairfax give the looks and comfort of a sneaker—thanks also to its anatomically shaped foot bed. To make sure the laces stay in place the Fairfax is fitted with a closure strap.

Note: We have found the REV'IT Fairfax Shoes to run large and suggest going down if you are between sizes.

Anthony Was Wrong...
The sizing per Anthony... "Rev'It sizing has been just fine for the American market, use the size chart..."
However, if I followed that advice I would have bought a 44 for my 10.5 foot; which is my American size. I am well established with many euro branded running shoes and I wear a 43. I do wear a 44 in some Dainese boots, but they are the ones that run a little small historically. To sum this up, I bought a 43 and it is right on the money! I had to wait (anxiously) for a week before they arrived so I am glad I did because a 44 would have been too big. It's O.K. Anthony.

I think these shoes fit exceptionally well with my foot, and what you get in this stylish shoe is a fair amount of protection. They are a little expensive but are good quality. The sole is pretty sticky on the pavement, and the heel and toe support helps with shifting and stability. The pictures online are close, just expect a little lighter suede detailing - I'll skip snapshots for now.

The only reason I didn't give these five stars is because I don't know how they will hold up or feel after wearing them around a lot. I primarily wanted to get some sizing info up for those who might need it. At first glance, they're a 5/5.

Awesome, but a little shoddy
The Fairfax shoes look amazing and offer solid protection but after casual use in just the 3 weeks following the unboxing some parts already began to fray (three shoe lace sockets and stitching on the left arch).

For me, these imperfections don't outweigh what I like about the product, but for the price I wouldn't recommend it unless you absolutely love the design.

Not worth the money
I picked these up one year ago. I'm a casual rider; I commute 1-2 days a week with the occasional weekend jaunt. The metal rings around the shoelace holes have came out in two places and the stitching to the sole is coming undone.

The boots look cool, which is why I bought them, but for much less money, there are better options.

Tiny bit heartbreaking...
I was so enamored with the blue version of these shoes. I went there, I placed the order, I was completely satisfied with the way they looked. Super styling, and juuust the right amount of flash. The BLUE ones are the way to go.

Unfortunately, and I really hope, (and kind of assume,) that this is just me, the reinforced panel at the heel was constantly digging into my ankles. The guys at the shop were very cool about returning my shoe for a slightly different size, but to no avail. While I was walking around town, my ankles were taking a beating.

While I was RIDING, any time I put my foot down to brace the bike, at a red light, for example, it would cut into my ankle.

Devastating. I had to return them for lack of functionality.

My heart. ...it's broken.

Coolest looking shoe I've ever seen!

Durability = NONE
I really liked these boots at first. They're comfortable, stylish and provide reasonable protection. The problem is their durability. They just wont hold up for long. I'm about to send a second pair back to another vendor and this time I'm not going to accept a replacement. The lace holes will pull from the boot relatively quickly if you lace them tightly. The material around the lace holes isn't sufficient to take the stress of normal riding and movement.

I cannot recommend these boots for anything other than very occasional use. If you're planning a short ride and want something fashionable, these will do but for anything else, they wont hold up and you'll be disappointed.

Good looking sneaker/boot
A nice option if you want some decent foot protection. Pretty stylish as well. For me Revit is always spot on with their designs. A bit European. Certainly up to discerning New Yorker standards anyways.

I feel like these will be best in late summer / autumn as they do not flow much air. I notice I keep going for my perforated riding boots over these guys but I think that'll change once it is a little less hot out.

Protection feels OK. I'm used to riding in a race boots so I haven't gotten totally comfortable with how light the toe and heel in this shoe feels. Your foot and ankle feel snug and secure when you are laced in and upon close inspection the heel protection does feel pretty robust for this style sneaker/boot.

I'm pretty sure I could wear these off the bike and be pretty comfortable for a day. (Again, in cooler weather they'll be optimum as they are a bit cozy (hot)

ReVit delivers another winner as far as I'm concerned!

Light and slightly snaggy
These boots look pretty great, they are ultra light but the fit is not particularly comfortable. The ankle protectors snag against the ankle bones and walking in them is quite uncomfortable, even when using padded ski socks.

They are very light though, and are much lighter to wear than, say, Helstons boots. However, my Helstons have much thicker and softer ankle padding and thicker leather.

Great riding shoes.
Shoes fit perfect as per the sizing chart. While they look like shoes they definitely feel like a boot. Very nice, solid, protective feel to them. Excellent build materials--nice durable leather and tough textile and stitching. The liner is a bit abrasive at first and the ankle armor will dig and rub until the shoes figure out how your feet want them to fit. Good traction and after breaking them in I can wear them for extended periods without any discomfort. Style is excellent, looks like I'm wearing converse and feels like I could kick a door in. If you can afford them, they are well worth it.

Awesome looks and good protection features
Finally I found a motorcycle shoe that I'm really happy with. It's got great style and nice bonus features to protect you on the motorcycle. I got the all black ones, size 42, normally wear 9.5 shoes. Fits comfortably, absolutely no issues.
