These are not winter gloves!!!
I may have made the mistake of buying these gloves, but I was looking for winter gloves and found these. These gloves are wind resistant not wind proof.

If you are riding in 50 degrees or colder your hands will start to freeze 10 minutes into your ride. I live in las vegas which can go into the 30's but mainly 40's and I'm already looking for anothe pair. For $80 I expected more but that's what I get for not being thorough.

Don't make the same mistake I did, do not buy these gloves for cold weather! !!

Not the glove for me
This glove looks and feels like a cheap winter glove with some molded knuckles thrown on. They did not feel particularly durable nor secure. The hand shape is very square, so for me the fingers were about right but the palm was short, the the bottom of my hand was not covered by the glove. Everything about this glove was underwhelming to me, especially for the price. I'll be returning and trying something else.

Also worth mentioning, the package indicates these gloves are for scooter riding. This may explain their light duty feel, and would have been good information up front (or I missed that tid-bit).

Great Glove
First day I got them, I rode in 47 degree, 70 mph, 30 minute commute and my hands felt perfect the whole way. Not even a hint of cold. And I do not have any hand guards on my bike. The inside is nice a soft as well.
My only real gripe about them is that based on sizing chart, I got the XL. The fit around the palm and width of the fingers is perfect, but the fingers are a little too long. The other thing is that although they do work on a touch screen, it's a bit tricky with those extra long fingers. I find myself clicking the wrong thing sometimes, or not being able to click something at all at times without really concentrating on my movements.
Other than that, I would still buy this glove again if I had to based mostly on the comfort and warmth.
(Air Flow was marked with 1 star because not much air gets through, which is what they are supposed to do).

900 miles in all kinds of weather
We went on a 900 mile road trip last weekend. I do not have heated grips, no faring, no wind protection.

Day 1 - 60 at start to 45 at end. 85mph - hands got cold but warmed 10 minutes after dismount.
Day 2 - 45 in morning to 65 in afternoon/evening and high winds. 85mph - hands got cold, very bearable. 45mph - no complaints.
Day 3 - 55 and raining to 68 and dry. 85mph - hands never cold.

Riding to work in 40s in the AM at 30mph for 3 miles - not bad, but I typically do that in mechanics gloves. Riding to soccer in evening 50s at 70mph for 6 miles - not bad.

They seem to be windproof so 3/5 for airflow. I wear a large in most all gloves and these fit like the others. Little bunching in fingers, but not obscene.

NOT AT ALL WATERPROOF. They act as a sponge. But, not really what I paid for as I don't do much wet riding.

Would definitely buy again. 900 miles and some work jaunts in, no issues. Also, the tag said that these are for mopeds. Kind of a kick in the pants of my pride.

Great for Las Vegas winters
I use this glove primarily for riding in 40-55 degree weather. My commute during the winter here in Vegas starts out in the 50's and ends up in the 40's. This glove is comfortable in those ranges. The ability to use my iphone is also outstanding. Its a great commuter glove and looks sharp.

Awesome Gloves
I've been looking for some gloves for cooler weather riding (Low 40s - 50s) for quite some time and these have totally nailed it for me. They aren't really a cold cold weather riding glove (like low 30s) but I'd probably still use them with a glove liner when it's that cold since they block the wind very well which helps keep your hands warm longer. I've ridden with them in low 40s on my commute to work (75-80ish MPH) and my hands were a bit cold when I arrived but not too bad (~20 min commute on the freeway), if I wear a thin liner glove under them my hands remain nice and warm (and easily remain so for longer rides). On days where it's in the mid 40s/50s they are comfortable and warm without a liner glove.

They are a bit thicker of a glove when comparing to a spring/summer glove (But not as thick as a heavy winter glove) so there is a slight loss of sensitivity when wearing them (especially in the beginning) but after breaking them in they are not bad at all. I have a Sena SM10R on my helmet and after breaking them in I am able to use the controls on it without any problems. (They broke in very quickly after only 2 or 3 rides)

I would definitely recommend them to anyone considering adding them to their gear arsenal.

Really does stop the wind
Although I live in Southern California, I like to ride in the morning and we can get some pretty chilly mornings. Took these out over the weekend in ~45F overcast weather and by the end of the ride, I could still feel my hands!

They really do stop the wind. Coming from a glove that had a LOT of air flow and moving to this felt weird at first. Only a bit of air creeps through when you move your hands around, but at the same time my hands weren't sweaty by the end of my ride; even after the sun came out. Having said that, these would be too hot in really hot, summer weather.

For the price, I think the quality is very good and you get touch sensitive finger tips too (just the index and thumb work). It's a nice feature to have when you're pulled over looking up directions or something.

I was trying to find a sort of "all-season" glove, but never found anything. However, I am happy with my purchase. These will be good for Southern California winters and those crispy morning rides. I've kept my previous gloves handy when the weather heats up in the coming months.

I definitely recommend these gloves!

Nice gloves. A solid fit, but not too warm.
These are really nice gloves. They left me a little cold for early spring riding in Northern New England, and not much room for an additional liner. If you want true warmth, you might try a larger size and add another layer, or try a different glove. Otherwise they perform as expected.

good wind protection
does give good wind protection. cuff is a little tight to get on but its easy to get off comfortable and not to thick. not sure how warm they would be in 30 degree weather. ive warn then in 35-ish and after about 20 miles of 60mph they start to get a little chilly. worth the money but I wish they was around $75. if they was $75 theyd get a 5 on bang for buck

They are warm good for mid 40s and higher temp. Would not recommend for longer rides in lower temps unless you have heated grips. I use liners with these gloves and heated grips switched to volcano mode for my 20+ mile regular commute on sub 45 degree days. Windproofing is good cold just seeps in. Insulation could have been better.

are these waterproof?
A shopper on Oct 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: They are NOT waterproof at all.
Anyone have these and have info on the sizing? Looking at videos from other Rev'it gloves, it seems to be a coin toss on whether they run a size large or small. According to the size chart on these, my 8.5" measurement would be about a Size L. Can anyone chime in if the sizing was accurate?
Wayne B on Oct 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have a pair of REVIT Sand Pro gloves in size large so I took a chance and ordered the Crater gloves in the same size. Perfect. They are nearly identical in sizing.
how heavy is the fleece lining, comparable to 100 or 80 gram thinsulate? riding in upper 40 to 50.
A shopper on Feb 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I actually just rode with these on this morning in about 40 weather. Not sure how they compare to others, but with the wind blocking they provide, my hands didn't get cold. Nice comfortable ride. At colder temps, they aren't the best, but work great when I use a liner with them.
