Great on the Triumph Street Triple 765
I was looking for a little more tone and weight savings on my 2018 Street Triple 765 RS and researching forums it sounded like the Remus Hypercone was the right fit for me. After a couple of months of backorder it finally came in. The installation took all of about 20 minutes and it's beautifully finished and the sound at idle is somewhat louder but not overwhelming with the fitted db killer. The tone is much lower and robust. Removing the db killer or swapping it for another does require a ball-end Allen key (turns out that was one of the few tools I didn't readily have).
It's startling how heavy the factory exhaust is but considering that it has an additional layer of silencing, it makes sense.
The Remus, with the db killer intact, initially seemed quite a bit louder from the seat but it adds a much deeper tone and the exhaust 'pops' noticeably when using the quick shifter at higher RPM and burbles nicely on deceleration. I wouldn't mind it if it were slightly quieter with the same characteristics but the only quieter one I'm aware of is the Arrow and when I had that on my 2014 Street Triple it was a very minor improvement in sound over the stock exhaust. Now that I have a few hundred miles on it it *seems* a little quieter. Not sure if it actually is or if I've acclimated to it. Without the db killer, you're sure to get more attention (neighbors, constabulary, etc.) and even for the track days, I doubt I'll take it out.
The exhaust looks great on the Triple--I got the matte black version and it fits right in with the rest of the bike. I had some questions for Remus regarding re-mapping (which I've not done and don't feel a need to) and they were fast and friendly with their responses.

Instant gratification
Bike- 2018 Triumph Street Triple R, easy install, stock muffler must weight 30lbs so significant weight savings. I got the black version to match the black bike, looks very nice, sits under bike so you don't see too much pipe and only the carbon end cap sticks out, looks great. Sound is almost like a two stroke, gives the little triple the sound injection it needed, sounds angry and amazing. Downside is at the cost of a little lag off closed throttle but i think an Arrow remap can help, once your up past 4K seems as snappy as stock pipe but then revs faster from there.
