Remus Exhaust Headers BMW R Nine T R9T / Scrambler / Pure / Racer

Complete your Remus performance package with these exhaust headers. These headers feature a 2-into-1 stainless steel design that reduces weight while increasing overall power and torque throughout the rpm range. The power and torque gains are directly related to the larger diameter exhaust pipes which allow for better exhaust gas flow and reduced back pressure.

Performance can be further improved with installation of a Remus Slip-On Exhaust. All Remus exhaust headers are modular and are compatible with either a OEM muffler or a Remus slip-on exhaust.

Remus exhaust systems are a direct result of R&D from their extensive involvement in MotoGP, Austrian Supermoto Championships, Himalayan Rally, International German Championships and many more.

great headers
These are lighter then stock, look better, clean up the dip in power around 5k rpm, give you a little more power, sound amazing, are louder... basically if you own a rninet you should buy these. You should know though that you have to get a a/f richener. The boxer comes lean from the factory to make emissions, these headers only make that worse. "af-xied" is the best option imo, boosterplug is another one. Richening things up makes the motor a lot happier, smoother, better throttle response, and my butt dyno says more power.

Good value per dollar too when comparing to most other aftermarket bits for this bike. Only issue I have with them is they seem prone to marks. I clipped my right one with a wrench while trying to reach the bottom nut(an extension will help, I was lazy) and now that they've been heated up there is a mark where I hit them. So know that they probably won't stay flawless, but who cares really, they are headers. They turn a nice satin color too, nothing like the revzilla stock picture depicts.

Great Upgrade
I recently added these headers to the stock exhaust w flapper still in, amazing sound difference. I also installed a Power Commander V which helped to smooth out the power. Remus muffler next, headers increased exhaust volume greatly.

What is the advantage of this header set compared to the stock headers? Is it lighter? More durable?
A S on Sep 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I've put ~400 miles on mine so far. They are lighter, yes. My "hold one in each hand" measurement puts it at ~5-10 pounds. More durable, who knows. They are louder then stock (not obnoxious but definitely loud, well maybe some would find it obnoxious but when your riding that ceases to be a concern) since they don't have a cat. The engine note is better, from 3500 to redline is intoxicating. Also give you a little more power. Also look better on the bike.

You should get a boosterplug or af-xied (google them). I reccommend the af-xied. They richen up your a/f ratio's, since the boxer comes lean from the factory to make emissions and these headers make it even worse, you have to richen things up. Both of these are pretty easy to install, the af-xied is done when you swap the headers, plug a couple things in and ziptie some wires. boosterplug requires you to lift the tank, which isn't terrible but is slightly annoying.
Will Remus be offering this Header in black anytime soon?

Shouldn't this fit the r9t scrambler? The system tells me it won't.

Does the Akrapovic slip-on fit directly onto these headers or does it still require the Akra link pipe for low mount installation?
