Does not fit
I have a 2015 Versys LT with the hand guards stock from Kawasaki and the windshield does not fit at all unless in the absolute lowest position. Upon raising, I cannot turn the bars without having it hit the windshield fairly hard, which would easily crack it over time or in the cold, and it will very easily scratch the hand guards. I had specifically asked revzilla about this over the phone before I order who said to call Puig directly, and the gentleman had never called back after weeks of calling, and revzilla assured me that the windshield would fit on the second call back. Just canceled my Scorpion exhaust order as I have learned it is probably better to just buy direct because I could have got my money back if I did.

Windshield seems very well built and the light smoke is a perfect color, as you can still see through it to ride but it gives the bike a great look. The stock windshield looks horrible after throwing on this windshield.

Spent over 900 bucks on an order through revzilla for a bunch of gear and they say the windshield is nonreturnable even though they are selling it to fit my exact bike as an 'Exact fit" product. Very disappointing that it does not fit and it was a waste of a good chuck of cash.

Excellent Upgrade over Stock Screen
Fitted to 2015 Kawasaki Versys 1000 LT: The Puig Dimensions by my measure are 19.5 inches high, 19.5 inches at the widest point, 12.5 inches wide at the top and 14.5 inches wide in the middle. Installed at the lowest setting, the Puig rises 13.5 inches above the very top/crown of the dash. By comparison, the stocker is 14 inches in total height, 16 in at the widest point and a mear 9 in wide at the top. The Puig dimensions set up excellent coverage for touring without throwing off the appearance of a ridiculously large screen as some alternatives do. I think the screen has a great "all around" appearance. Install is <5 minutes with a 4mm hex key (six total bolts). I purchased the "dark smoke" which is not opaque as it may appear in photos; more like a dark pair of sunglasses. See attached photos.

Much appreciated wind protection
After getting my '15 Versys 650 I quickly realized that the stock screen was basically diverting air directly at my helmet, and knew I needed to get something for the cold (might switch back out for summer weather). I'm 6'2" with a 32" inseam so my head is sticking up there pretty far, but with this screen and sitting somewhat slouched over the air is now diverted to higher up on the helmet (crown area), which I am quite thankful for. I got the smoke color and it doesn't seem too dark, but still adds a cool look to the bike imo.

Cons:
- Mine doesn't seem to be completely straight as in one side is allowed to go all the way up while the other still has another half inch or so to go, and vice versa when down.
- With the kawasaki hand guards it does get in the way just before hitting the turn stops, but not enough to do any damage from what I've seen.

Effective
I am 6 foot even and find this shield effective at reducing wind blast sufficient to allow for listening to music through intra-helmet speakers while wearing ear plugs on the high way. Especially when configured at its highest position. I can cruise at 85-90 m.p.h. (legal in some parts of Wyoming) and still hear music.

I purchased the smoked version. It is somewhat difficult to see through. I rarely find this to be an issue as it is easy to look over the top of the screen. However, if you are in a situation where you need to pay attention to road conditions directly in front of you (parking lot maneuvers and the like), then your vision will be somewhat impaired. But I think the color looks great with the Orange finish on the 2015 Versys 1k model. I would purchase the smoked color again, but if you do a lot of dirt or negotiate a lot of pot holes then you may prefer the clear.

I do wish the screen could be configured in a lower position. Its stability is predicated on the bottom of the screen resting against the brackets on which the screen's bolts are bolted. This limits how low the screen can go by an inch or more. I don't find this particularly detrimental except for on the hottest of summer days, but that is a fairly personal observation and should not necessarily be taken as criticism. After all, you are buying the screen specifically to block wind....

All things considered I would buy the screen again. It is effective and I feel like its aesthetics compliment the lines of the Versys.

Not bad, but.....
I got this for a 2015 Versys 1000 in the dark smoke color. First impression is it seems a bit thin, definitely thinner than the stock screen. Installation is about a 10 minute job. As far as the hand guards hitting the windscreen, I've read different reviews, some say it does, some say it doesn't. I don't understand the discrepancy, because my hand guards DEFINITELY hit the Puig screen. It's not so bad at the lowest setting but significant at the highest setting. The screen does a great job of blocking the wind over the stock screen. Overall it's a good upgrade but a bit overpriced for what you get

Great product
I put this on a Kawasaki Versys 650 in less that 5 minutes. If my wife would have been near by to hold the screen in place while I put in the hardware it would have taken even less time. I got the dark smoke and it is a good look. I have the screen in the lowest position. I'm 5'9 and the wind is deflected so that I could wear a baseball cap while riding without worrying about it blowing off. I get enough air to keep me comfortable in the hot weather. I will probably raise it a bit for winter riding to keep even more air off me. I was shocked how fast it came Revzilla is a first rate company!

Much Better
Much nicer than the stock versys windscreen. Blocks a lot more wind, keeping noise down significantly. Slightly tight fit to get the original mounting brackets to fit back into the rails...I suggest having a friend help you align it---but can be done yourself. I got the medium tint, and it gives me plenty of visibility even at night

Great product
I am over 6'3" tall and was getting a lot of wind noise from the stock windscreen. With the Puig windscreen the wind noise is gone and the ride is much more comfortable. It was easy to install and looks good on my 2015 Versys.

Much better than the stock screen
Easy to install in less than 10 minutes. Even in the lowest position it allows me to ride with my helmet visor partially open, which is a plus on hot days. Would definitely recommend if you desire more wind protection than the stock screen.

Best bang for the buck
This is probably the most important upgrade for the Versys. The stock windshield is about abysmal. I can still get some airflow if I put it in the low position, but can put myself in an air cocoon if I need to in the full up position. Also, zero interference with the hand guards (2016 V1K)

Hey fellow riders,

Will the windscreen for 12-13 Versys 1000 fit 2015 Versys 650?

Winds be at your back.
Deniz Derin O on May 13, 2015
I have read online in a couple of reviews that the Puig Touring Screen 5999 does not allow for full steering lock on the Versys 650 when the Kawasaki hand shields are fitted. Can anyone confirm or otherwise? Thanks :)
A C on Jun 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This was not true on my Verses 650. I could turn the bars all the way with the shield on. There was light contact on the one side when the bars were turned as far as they could go, but it did not effect the functionality in any way. I was extremely happy with the improvement of this screen over stock.
is it the size than the OEM?
A C on Jan 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It's wider and taller. Two other friends with the Versys 1000 also have it. You can set it low to look over it, or set it high and look thru it. I'm 5'9'.
Where can I get installation instructions?
A shopper on Jul 3, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Mine did include instructions that were poor at best, but installation was easy. Straight forward design, was not a challenge to install on my F650GS. I did not pursue any further type of instructions as it was installed quicker than I could log on to web.
Does the screen touch the handguards when turning on a Versys 1000 ?
Jose A on Mar 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I had this for my 650 versys and I did not have handguards but it didn't seem looks it would interfere
Does it touch the hand guards when turning on the Versys 1000 ?
Jose A on Mar 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It can on my 2016 Versys 650 if the windshield is at the lowest position, but only when the handlebars approach a full lock turn. And even then there is enough flex in the windshield that it does not impede going to a full lock position.
On the Versys 650 LT fitmit questions: Has anyone tried to use washers or
anything as spacers, or modified the stock mounts to push the windshield further out so it clears the handguards on the LT?
Eric W on Feb 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Mine is on 1000lt ,fits great, works as I wanted it to
Since Kawasaki changed the size of the mounting holes and installed rubber grommets in the 2017 windshield, will this fit the 2017 1000 without modifying it?
