The quality of the product is very good well made and well designed. On the other hand the instructions were very basic and to be honest quite poor. If you are fitting it yourself, make sure to can support the bike in the straight up position, and have a scissor jack or bottle jack to support the front of the rear swing arm, this will make it a lot easier to remove and fit the new main bolt. With out this support the diff moved slightly back and it is really hard to remove and replace this bolt. i found a scissor jack from the car worked well and certainly made the installation a lot easier. Don't try it on your own, have a friend help you, certainly stops a lot of cursing and swearing. Also place a wooden block between the jack and the swing arm, protects the swing and give you a bit more leverage.

Fits great on my Racer
Looks great and easy install. Price seems a little excessive, but it's well designed and nicely finished. To get it installed on the R9T, you should absolutely jack up the rear of the drive shaft a few inches or you'll never get the bolt back into the swing arm. There is a video on YouTube that shows the position. I used a jack from the trunk of my car. Worked great, but don't think I could have got it done without it.

A Worthwhile investment, function over form
After looking at several rear huggers for my R Nine T, landed up choosing this Puig hugger after reading several good reviews, as well as it fit my budget.

While it is a simple, in theory, install, there is a knack for fitting this hugger, the bolt that sits just above the drive shaft boot is TOUGH to remove, it was a two-man job getting it off since the bolt was covered in a thick layer of threadlock, and we were only able to get an average length ring-spanner on the inward facing nut (your experience might differ, we didn't remove the wheel or exhaust to remove the bolt).

Futher more, using a car-jack under the 'knuckle' of the drive shaft takes the weight off the bolt, making it far easier (video reference I used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCCs-f1kjlE ).

While the instructions recommend using the threadlock provided, I decided not to in case (see- Summer) want to remove the hugger it'll be less of an issue, and after 8,000-ish KMs I've had no issues with the bolt coming loose.

All said and done, after fitting it to the bike it actually looks quite good, personally world rather something that was more retro (something like a brushed ally hugger that isn't as wide) but I'm only chasing it for the functionality, which is very good, the suspension is free of excess dirt and other road crud and if you're running a tail-tidy it's almost essential to have a hugger, and the Puig one does that job very well.

Great product!
Had my BMW dealer remove the stock rear fender and had MotoBox LED taillight and Oberon LED signals installed with this Puig tire hugger and it looks and performs amazing.
