Glad I bought it.
I recently sold my Honda ST1300, and I'm going to Colorado this summer on my CB1000R. The first overnight in Manitou Springs is about 700 miles from my home in Fort Worth. That's a long day without some sort of wind protection.

I recently purchased this screen and I like it. It isn't perfect, but I think it's going to do the trick for long days. It will come off for regular use. I'm not a big fan of the dark tint on my green bike. The bike was black when I bought it new, but I didn't want a black one, so I painted it. The tinted screen would look better on the black bike. For the green, I should have gone with clear.

The installation was a piece of cake. However, I would recommend putting some painter's tape on the handlebar on each side of the clamp and mark the joint in the clamp. The bar will rotate when you loosen the clamp to install the brackets and you may want to know where it was when you started. I also have a couple of other recommendations. First; don't tighten down any of the bolts/screws until you have everything loosely fitted; it will all just line up better that way. And second; the kit comes with an adhesive-backed, clear rubber bumper that goes on the back of the screen to keep it off your paint at the bottom tip. Dry-fit the screen before you place the bumper. It will need to be located a little higher up the screen than you might initially expect. I got my lower than I would like, but it still works, so I'll leave it alone.

The screen performs pretty well. The pocket of still air behind it dissipates a couple of inches from my chest, but the turbulence at my chest is lateral and not frontal, so it's better than without the screen. It doesn't work as well as I expected, but my expectations may have been unreasonable considering the size of the screen on the ST. I am glad I bought it, it will make long days more tolerable, and removing it for local use will be pretty easy.

And the stickers all come off nicely for a clean look when you're finished.

I would think about it!
Let me start by saying that I rarely write a review but I could not let this go. I received my windscreen and had to send it back because of the condition it came in.

At first I thought that it was a return that was shipped to me because of the box and the way the windscreen and hardware was in the box. The brackets were scratched and it just did not look right. The factory seal tape was cut by someone other than me. Revzilla took care of me ASAP and sent me a new one only to find the second one in the same condition! The box was in poor shape with the factory seal cut and the hardware rubbing against the windscreen causing small scratches.

I went ahead and polished the scratches out and installed the windscreen... I will not buy anything else with the name Puig on it because if they can't pack a product better than what I received twice I don't need it.

I should say that Revzilla was very quick sending my replacement (2 days) and I appreciate their customer service!!

So, if you are thinking about this windscreen I would think twice about it because who knows what condition it will arrive in!

good looks
This replaced a different flyscreen and the install was easy and more stable than the previous one, the previous one had lots of vibration. It also keeps bugs from bouncing off and ending up in my helmet like the other one did, last straw was a hornet-not good. Air flow is what I want on a naked bike and it does look great.
