Progressive Suspension 412 Series Shocks For Harley Sportster & FXR

The 412 Series shocks are simply the best value shock the Progressive offers. The 412's simple, durable design means they will be an improvement to your motorcycle's suspension performance for as long as you are riding it. The double-wall steel body construction with nitrogen charged, multi-staged velocity-sensitive valving gives you smooth, consistent damping. A five position cam-style preload adjuster lets you dial in your ride whether you're a light rider or heavy hitter. Step into suspension that works for you.

Features:

  • Nitrogen-charged
  • Cam-style preload adjuster
  • Sold as a pair
  • Made in USA

Notes:

  • Depending on model, your stock shock length is 11 1/2" to 13 1/2"
  • Shock lengths are measured fully extended, eyelet to eyelet on centers
  • A change in height at one end of the bike may require a change at the other
  • Changing ride height can potentially change the trail and mechanical trail
  • Heavy Duty shocks are recommended for bikes operated at or near the OEM maximum load rating over 50% of the time

Nice improvement over factory shocks.
Larger piston, better springs and improved dampening all make for a more stable ride, especially in corners, not to mention how much better the 412's look on the bike. Add Progressive springs, Bel-Ray oil and Speed Merchant Pre-Load adjusters to the front shocks and you have one nice handling Sportster.

Bike feels great!
These shocks are probably the best upgrade I've done for my bike yet. They're comfortable and have the right amount of stiffness for a sportier ride. As always revzills customer service is the best!

Very disappointing.
After purchasing two sets of progressive 412's for 2 other motorcycles. One being a Road King. The other being a 2010 1200 C Sportster. Both were excellent on those motorcycles. However, on my 2002 883 Sportster these did not perform nearly as well. Very stiff almost as bad as the originals that I took off. Very disappointing. Also if you purchase these shocks and you mount them on your bike and you're not satisfied RevZilla will not take them back. I contacted Progressive and went to their facility which is very close to my house and they told me that these shocks operated perfectly. I would not recommend these to anyone. I am 6' and 200 lbs. These things ride as stiff as a board save your money and get something better
