Staying warm while riding helps reduce fatigue while increasing your riding season and enjoyment. Good at heating, bad at being a jacket liner
FYI, this is for the NEW product. All of the reviews you will find online are for the old, they have changed some things about it since then.

Changes:
Doesn't appear to be 60/120w anymore, no option to change. Not that it matters, everyone I know with the old just ran 60w all of the time. Controller in the jacket is much smaller, that is a plus. The collar is up higher, offering more neck coverage.

The wireless controller got flatter and is no longer a dial. Its a 5 level up/down button configuration that is supposed to strap to your arm or something. Problem is the strap is bad, youll need to replace it or just velcro it to something like the old controller.

What it does well:
As far as heating goes, this jacket is great. Heats up quickly, heats in a way that you don't really notice it until you set it too hot. You'll know its working when you take it off and realize just how cold it is outside. Heating appears even and you can really crank it up. I rode in 28 degree weather in just a windproof motorcycle jacket (no extra insulation) and on the 4/5 setting was comfortable.

Its wireless. That was a big selling point for me for simplicity as I have multiple bikes. I just have to have multiple (cheap) leads to the battery and that is it. No wiring up controllers on the handlebars, etc. The wireless controller was the main selling point for me.

What it doesn't do well:
Be a jacket liner. They put some sort of "soft shell" exterior on it that is really, really tacky. It doesn't slide in or out of a jacket easily. You almost have to put it in the jacket before putting the jacket on. The more slick/silk Gerbing stuff is superior in that manner. If you dont need the wireless controller I would actually go with them.

Its actually so bad that, when attempting to take off my jacket, it actually pulled the retention strap (that clips to the outer shell of the jacket) for the wind barrier right out of the liner. The liner was so stuck to this liner that it tore it from the jacket! If they swapped that tacky outer coating with a slick fabric like every other jacket liner it would be nearly perfect!

Its also kind of expensive for heated gear but I was willing to pay that for the wireless controller.

Expensive but worth it
I love this jacket liner. I have worn it under a light windbreaker as well as a regular motorcycle jacket. Great fit and works well whether you use the electric heat or not. I love being able to adjust the heat more towards the gloves than the jacket. Remote works great.

K M on Feb 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Its supposedly more even heating and, I am not kidding about this, has an Android app that can control it too.
is the power coax cable male or female? Trying to figure out which adapter to buy to plug this into my powerlet port.
Davide D on Nov 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Jacket lead is male, bike hard wire pigtail is female. Stated another way; The jacket plugs into a female coaxial power source.
How is the jacket and pants connected when used with the wireless controller?
Scott N on Aug 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: There are cable connections on the left side of the jacket and pants. I connection ties them together.
please advise the power consumption, how many watts on high position? for jacket and glove.
A shopper on Jan 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Cant help you with the wattage draw. But on a practical note, I ride a HD Road Glide Ultra. With the temp in the high 40's to 50's I set the gloves & jacket on 3 evenly split. On very rare occasion I will set it on 4. But after I am warm the setting goes to 2 or 3. Hope this helps.
Cheers, Joe
Will the previous Powerlet heated glove liners work with this jacket?
A shopper on Feb 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I dont know. They changed the glove liner hookups from the previous models, for the worse (I dont have the older models, just saw reviews).
If I buy the jacket liner with the wireless remote and want to get the glove liners, do I need to get the 5 position controller with the liners too?
A shopper on Feb 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No, do not get the controller unless you plan on running the liners separately. The jacket controls the gloves with one controller.
