Oxford Chillout Windproof Gloves

The Oxford Chillout Windproof Gloves provide an extremely effective barrier against wind chill. Perfect for use with Oxford CoolDry and WarmDry base layers. At 32⁰F, the wind chill factor at just 24mph is approximately 3⁰F. Add to that the impact of rain at high speeds and it is easy to see how a rider's concentration could be adversely affected. The correct use of 'layering' can dramatically reduce the effect of wind chill as well as maintain comfort through the wicking of moisture away from the skin. The all-new ChillOut range of Oxford Layers uses the very latest in material technology to keep riders warm and comfortable in such extreme conditions. The key ChillOut material is water-resistant, windproof and breathable; it also has an insulating fleece lining, which is gentle on the skin. In addition, stretch panels are employed in areas requiring maximum flexibility, so that comfort is not compromised in any way.

Features:

  • Windproof material retains warmth through thermal insulation
  • Effective wicking rapidly removes moisture from the skin
  • Anti-bacterial treatment kills odors at the source
  • Reinforced flat lock seams are tougher and more comfortable
  • Gently elasticated slimline cuffs
  • Flat lock stitching for maximum comfort

these things are AWESOME
I got these gloves so I would be bale to have something to use as a glove liner or a stand alone glove. and these fit the bill perfectly. I wore them on a 45min ride in the low 50's at night and they kept my hands warm. I wore them on an hour ride in the low 40's one morning and my hands did get a lil cold but that was due to the fact that the palm side is not windproof, but still not unbearably cold. if you need a nice set of multiuse gloves these are your guys.

Great Extra Layer
A great glove to add an extra layer for those cold mornings. Fits snug and does restrict movement a bit and I'm sure it will be more or less depending on the glove you use it with. I only have "warm weather gloves" so this helps cut the wind chill during the early and later seasons.

Waste of money
I ride most of the year in southern iowa so winters get fairly chilly. I was looking for a nice windproof glove to put wool gloves under. The tops of them are windproof as stated and work well. The palm and bottoms of the fingers arent. They are as effective as mesh. And the right one tore apart between the middle and index finger first time I took a ride with it. I bought a size up so I don't understand why they did this. I liked the idea and I wanted them to work, but they just dont.
