Not Worth the money
I have had this pack now for 2 years I can tell you that if you ride a sport bike this bag is not for you. the top of the bag is to high and keeps forcing your helmet down, causing you to strain to keep your head up and makes your neck soar buy the end of the day. This sadly also makes it difficult to turn your head to the left or right to check the traffic. There are plenty of compartments for your electronics but sadly like every other back pack out there it is designed for the geeks and not the traveler. The reason I say people shouldn't buy this is because after only 2 years both shoulder straps are ripping away from the bag. the stitching is really cheap which is to bad because the rest of the bag is well made, and until they fix the straps from ripping don't bother buying it, and like I said earlier don't buy a bag shaped like this if you ride a sport bike.

1 year review: Over engineered
Got this for christmas last year and put a lot of miles on it. Determined this is what would happen if an engineering student was told to design a backpack for their final exam. The pursuit of hyper-functionality has left this backpack almost non-functional. The pockets and compartments (of which there are LOTS) are sized to very tight tolerances, meaning your items will fit perfectly or not at all. I've grown tired of having to cram simple items into the bag, such as the power cord for my laptop or my lunch, then wondering if this will be the time the seams fail.

The zippers catch all the time (at this price, they should've been YKK) and there are threads sticking out all over the bag from the stitching starting to give. A problem I have yet to see from my 5 year old Wenger bag. Which was also half the price.

TL;DR - Over priced, over complicated, under constructed. Don't bother.

Great Backpack!
I had to replace my old icon backpack, it started ripping at the seems.
I was very impressed with my purchase, the Ogio renegade was more than I bargained for. It has a hardened lap top pocket for better protection and comfort when your riding. No more getting poked in the back by something inside. Unexpectedly found out that is has a hardened glasses case built in to the top. Little touches like that made me realize what a great buy I made.

Great Backpack, Good Enough for Riding
After using a Kriega, a Chrome, and a variety of others geared toward riding, I've come to appreciate that this is just a good *backpack*, and also is good enough for riding.

Compare to the others which purport to be good *riding backpacks*, but fall short of doing normal duty as a good pack on or off the bike, and this bag becomes my default go-to for any kind of travel.

Not quite as waterproof as some of the others I've had, but good enough.

Awesome backpack
I feel its a little expensive but it is an excellent backpack. The sidewalls of the laptop pocket are somewhat springloaded that holds the laptop tight in place and suspends it off the bottom of the bag in case you drop it, I have a Macbook Air 11" model so its extremely small compared to what you could fit in the pocket and it stil holds tight. The pocket configurations are amazing for organization without creating bulk that most backpacks have, they could have added some additional slot pockets inside the 2 front smaller pockets for additonal organization. I use the backpack as a mutli-purpose pack, I use it as an EDC, gym bag, traval bag, hiking, pretty much everything. The small pocket on the strap fits a Garmin eTrex snugly. The sunglasses pocket was a major selling point. The straps are a lose fit so its easier to put on with a motorcycle jacket and they do not feel constricting like the 5.11 design. Overall it is a fantastic backpack for multiple purposes, however it is obviously not designed to be areodynamic for riding a sport bike at high speeds.

Best back pack on the market
I bought this to protect my apple computer and it's amazing. I love the feature that has a place to put my sunglasses. Overall this is totally worth the investment. I love this brand.

I have the Ogio Bandit II
This bag replaced the Bandit II which is the current pack I have from Ogio (that this pack replaced.)

I can say that there are some problems with this bag design from the outset. First, there are simply too many pockets. I don't need space for a calculator, a pencil, a keychain, and numerous other things.

I need ONE large location with a few niceties thrown in. That being said it looks like improvements were made from my bad with the addition of a 3rd pocket.

All the time I am required to decide between "main" pocket with a billion different inside pockets or the "outer" pocket which basically holds a wallet and some keys.

This bag just sucks. On my OGIO Bandit II (remember this is roughly the same bag) the shoulder strap adjustment does not retract long enough for a reasonable sportbike pack.

For example, wanna rest this pack on your seat while riding? Tough luck - straps aren't long enough.

My Ogio II is a great bag but the numerous pockets piss me off. Seriously, is this a motorcycling bag or a student's bag? OGIO seems conflicted with this line.

Good all-around backpack, with more pockets than I know what to do with. Could have better side-cupholders, but whatever; definitely worth it.

Is it water proof or water resistant??
CARLOS AMAURY P on Jul 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No it is not waterproof
hello guys/gals, I am wondering if a full face helmet like the bell qualifier would fit inside this bag? If not I love the look but want a bag that will fit a helmet inside with a few pockets.
Kevin on Feb 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No it will not store a helmet inside it. It is a back pack for the office geek only.
