Nitron Shocks NTR R1 for Yamaha FZ1

The Nitron R1 Shock is the most popular shock in the Nitron lineup and is perfect for street riding. Designed to significantly improve comfort, steering response and road feel over your OEM shock, the R1 shock features a single adjuster knob which tunes both rebound and compression damping simultaneously. The preload can be adjusted with the included c-spanner on the standard shock or optional remote Hydraulic Preload Adjuster for instant changes to cope with ride-height, road condition, luggage or passenger.

All Nitron R1 Shocks feature a large 40mm piston which allows for precise and consistent damping control. The pressurised gas-monotube design combined with the same high quality internal components featured in Nitron's top-of-the-line shocks will outperform shocks with much higher price tags. The gas tube and many other components are CNC-machined aluminium alloy, and feature a hard-anodised titanium finish which is corrosion resistant against the harshest weather conditions.

All Nitron Shocks are hand-built to order in England and are tested and measured before delivery. Every shock is tailored for each motorcycle’s specific characteristic and geometry, the only other factor is the rider’s weight with gear, so make sure you select the proper weight option above.

Great overall improvement
After riding a Ninja ZX6R for six months, I decided my FZ1 rear end could really benefit from a shock upgrade. I bought the Nitron R1, and what a huge improvement this makes over stock. Feels great when riding in the streets and helps the bike feel much more confident when taking turns. If I ever buy a another budget naked bike, this will be one of, if not the first, mods that I perform.
