Make a sexy bike much sexier
I have a Ducati 899 and recently got a NRC and now the rear tail looks much more elegant and clean. The installation is easy but it takes some time to get everything perfect.

Looks great, but a bit of a pain to install
As stated, it looks great. A couple of notes though:

- The indicator section part is held onto the bottom of the panigale's tail with two-sided tape, and an awkwardly-fitting single torx bolt. Not sure how these two things will hold up with time; we'll see.
- You can install the license plate bracket with or without your passenger pegs. I did so without, and the old passenger peg bolts are the right length to fit the new bracket with the included spacers really well.
-The angle of the license plate bracket's mount w/ the rest of the bracket makes it hard to screw the bolts in. Took some time (and a bit of damage to the license plate bracket mount) to get this bolted in securely.

Great Finished Look!!
I purchased this as we all know to remove the ugly OE License plate/turn signal bracket. I originally wanted an integrated rear taillight w/turn signals, but this is the next best thing on the market for the Panigale. The installation was super quick and easy... having things be PNP made things a breeze. The only issue I have is the torx bolt and double sided adhesive tape that holds things together leaves a bit to be desired, but I understand from a design standpoint and making things work as to why they went that route. I don't believe there will be an issue with it coming lose or falling off, just more less my being the owner and knowing how it is installed is where the "issue" is... at least in the back of my head anyways.

Overall great product, nice quality and really gives the bike the "finished" look it needed.

Great appearance, but you'd better be patient installing it.....
It looks great now I've finished the installation. Smooth, aerodynamic and streamlined. But......

I have a 2015 899 panigale. The only mechanical attachment of the turn signal assembly to the bike is the single center bolt, which just happens to line up with the hole in the underside of the tail where the wiring exits on its way to the original signals. So that wiring has to be re-routed through some other holes (which are not possible to grommet (if there is such a verb... ). Then since the aforementioned hole is quite large, the best solution seemed to be to use two large, flat washers (at least 1'' O.D) and a couple of shake proof nuts ( I don't know the proper term for them, just nuts with a rubber/plastic insert in them). I put these washers and nuts on either side of this hole in the undertail, leaving the original grommet in place, clamping it between the two large washers.
After several dry runs I got the lower washer and nut positioned just right, so that when the upper nut was tightened the signal assembly was pulled tight against the undertail plastic. I disassembled everything again, then pulled the covering off the double sided tape which secures the LEDs to the undertail and installed the upper washer/nut for the last time and tightened said nut. This put pressure on the adhesive strips and made the whole shebang secure.

Criticism: if the folds in the sheetmetal which create the areas where the LED strips are attached to the signal assembly were 10-20 degrees more, the double-sided tape would sit flatter against the plastic undertail, offering a better bond, perhaps.

Praise: the license plate LEDs are hidden under the front of the assembly and project light onto the plate really well. The turn signals are really bright, too. Yeah!

Looks great but the tape on the signals makes me nervous
I have a 2015 Panigale 899. This kit has double sided tape to hold the turn signals in place. This makes me nervous because angle of the tape doesn't align well with the angle of the plastic under the seat. Hopefully it holds up. Also, as others have mentioned, the angle of the license plate mount is super weird and hard to get the screws into. I ended up using a hammer which caused some damage but nbd.

A little tricky to put on if you're not mechanically inclined; but if you work on your bike regularly it should be a piece of cake. I'm the former and it took me a little over an hour for the turn signals and the plate bracket; so if you're even moderately adept you could probably get it done in half the time!

is this for both 2014 and 2015 899?
A shopper on Apr 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: There is no difference between the two model years. It should install exactly the same way.
Does this require soldering?
Cole L on Sep 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No, just plug & play, but that may be the least of your worries. Read my review of my installation on my 2015 899 pani.
