Beautifully crafted product at exactly the wrong heigth
Replaced the stock windscreen with this, and for most of my riding conditions it caused a worse riding experience. The main problem is the noise. Actually it was more than noise because ear plugs would have reduced noise. This windscreen creates a thick band of turbulence right at the ear level of the rider and causes thrombing, pounding air pressure fluctuations that goes right through your helmet and earplugs. It left my ears ringing after just riding for 20 minutes.
Just standing up on you pegs and getting your helmet into the faster, but cleaner, air stream and the thrombing pressure would cease (or tuck into a racer's position).
Based on the success I had with the taller V-Stream Tall Touring windscreen fitted with the MRA X-creen spoiler, I suspect that this sport screen would be greatly improved, and perhaps even recommended if also fitted with the X-creen spoiler. My experience is that the spoiler can reduce the thickness and magnitude of the turbulent layer and kick it up about 8" higher.
I found out there was a little wisdom in the factory windscreen in that it kept the rider's head in a clean airstream. This product would probably be a great SPORT wind screen if it was about 2" shorter and brought the turbulence to just under the helmet.
A positive point is that I noticed I was keeping warmer behind the V-Stream screen as it kept the high pressure air from finding all the cold leaks at the heart level (which the stock screen was good at)

Sturdy and quality made
I am 6'1". This windishiled looks nice and is sturdy. My problem is it sends wind right into my helmet which increses noise, more so than if no windshield. Ofr it to not do that, I have to crouch down a lot, like 10 inches. Looks like I am going to have to purchase that windshield spoiler I have seen that is also offered for my bike. not thriled about that, plus it's another $110.
