What's this?

LS2 FF325 Strobe Hi-Viz Helmet

This is a helmet designed by riders for riders. The full-metal latch system operates smoothly and offers a super secure closure for safety. It opens with a single button that is easy to find and easy to use, even with a heavy winter glove. The chin bar has a secure detent at the full open position, so it stays in place when it is up.

This modular motorcycle helmet has LS2’s Twin Shield System sun shield, so you get the sun protection you want, and can quickly get more light when entering a tunnel or darker area. The Strobe uses a slide and cable technology to engage the sun shield smoothly, offering ease of use and less wind noise. The face shield is optically correct, scratch resistant and has LS2’s ShortShift Tool-less Quick Release, making it easy to change whenever you need and the breathable fabric liner wicks moisture, and the 3D laser cut foam liner and cheek pads are removable and washable. The LS2 Strobe is so comfortable, you’ll forget you have it on.

Fit:

  • Narrow internal shape, comparatively less width from ear to ear than other helmets but offers more forehead room

Features:

  • HPTT (High Pressure Thermoplastic Technology) shell
  • 2 shell sizes
  • Channeled EPS
  • FFS Fog Fighter System 3D optically correct face shield with Quick Release System
  • Inner drop down sun shield
  • Removable and washable comfort liner
  • Removable chin curtain
  • Breath deflector
  • Top and chin vents with exhaust port in back
  • Quick release metal security plate reinforced strap
  • Cheek pads with laser cut foam
  • Neck roll
  • ECE 22.05 certified

Note: Because the neck roll is integrated into the helmet shell, we recommend not using a communication device that uses a clamp mount.

Amazing bang for buck! Much wow! Such features!
Love this thing! Exchanged an AGV K4 EVO (Intermediate Oval) since I had almost no room between the front of the helmet and my jaw, plus pressure on my forehead. Overall quality is impressive given the low price. The sun visor is easy to operate, as is the modular opening and buckle system. Removable liner feels nice. Comes with extra reflective stickers should you choose to apply them. (To the helmet, not your head).

Only con I have is I could use a bit more padding at the top of the helmet. But I have a weird neanderthal shaped head (Amanda from Revzilla can verify) so YMMV. Definitely recommend, can't believe I'm the first one to leave a review!

Good helmet for the price
This helmet has the features I wanted for a good price. Easy to use Internal shade that goes over glasses, ratchet chin strap, hi visibility yellow color, module single button for release and grooves through foam for glasses. Light weight too.

Great value
I selected this helmet because it was the only inexpensive modular option I found that matched my long oval head shape. The helmet fits my head shape perfect. The helmet sizing chart is pretty good, but my helmet fit (just based on my head) a little on the larger end of the fit range, if I get a hair cut I could probably fit into a large but my head size is right in the middle of extra large on the chart. The finish is exactly as one should expect from a helmet in this price range. It is not a $500 helmet, but for the price I have found everything to work as it should. Some riders may not like the amount of force it takes to move the visor (it takes a little bit more effort than other helmets possible) but I prefer it because I know it will click in place and not move on its own. I would not mind a little bit better air flow out of the vents, on warm days I often leave the visor slightly open for extra air. The mechanism for removing the visor for cleaning is easy to use and works well with just a couple of clicks. All in all I think the helmet is perfect for the price for someone like me trying out a modular style helmet for first time and not wanting to spend a fortune.

Not for Bluetooth
If you use a Bluetooth unit like a Scala, this is not a good helmet. The neckroll is sewed into the helmet and there is no way to properly remove it to do a clean install.

Buy this helmet !!
This is one excellent helmet! I've purchased 3 helmets this year, and this is by far the most impressive. And it beats every helmet I've owned in the last 50 years if you consider the price/feature mix.

I wanted a hot weather and short ride (under 250 miles) helmet in Hi-Viz, but I wear an XXXL long oval and choices are extremely limited. I was led to look at modular helmets by a pal with a Nolan; another friend led me to LS2.

PROS
• First of all this helmet is a perfect fit and comfortable
• Vents are large, multi-position, and easy to operate with gloves
• Tinted sun visor can be partially lowered to any position and is easy to find and operate with gloves
• Quick release chin strap is easy to operate
• Quick release chin bar is easy to operate and release; latching on closure is positive and secure
• Neck roll is snug with full coverage, and should make this a good winter helmet
• Plenty of internal room for prescription glasses plus "old man" sun glasses over those
• Except for noise, this is easily the equivalent of my Schuberth S2 which cost $375

CONS
• Does not have a "city ventilation position" for the main visor. First visor click is open about 3/8 inch, but my forward leaning seat position makes this moot at speed.
• Tinted shield could be darker, but is perfect when combined with sun glasses for 2-stage protection

UNKNOWNS
• No wet weather testing

I had previously tried an LS2 model 386. This is a much, much better helmet in every way possible.

Great price, really good helmet
Fits very small: measured my head, ordered a L, ended up needing an XXL. My head is highly asymetrical...could be the reason. Not real fancy or HD looking, but for the price can't go wrong

Third times a charm!
I needed to get a new helmet and wanted a modular. I started with a Shuberth, which was too small and cranky on my big head (not to mention expensive!), then I tried a Scorpion, which was a little odd feeling for my head as well. I wanted hi-viz so I ordered the LS2 and voila - I have a helmet that fits perfectly. I have no creases in my forehead and the sun shield actually works better than my sunglasses. I rode to California over a three day trip from Idaho (over 1500 miles) and the helmet was great. Ventilation was good and when it was 38 degrees one morning I was able to stay warm in it as well. I also got a nice complement on the color and style from a young lady in San Rafael - always a nice benefit for a middle aged coot. Highly recommend this helmet.

STILL the best do-all for the money!
VentilationI spent over 4 hours today watching various you tube reviews, reading customer reviews at revzilla, and for a helmet that does all the LS2 Strobe & solid does, it somply cant be beat. I am a motovloger, so my #1 complaint is wind noise. Was a non issue before I started motovloging as I wear earplugs anyways. I was searching for a much quieter rated MODULAR helmet for under $300, and the closest one is not even enough difference to justify the $105 INCREASE in price over the Strobe. I have owned mine for just a wee bit over a year now. Been in everything from 20 degree 70 MPH rides to 95 degree + 60% humidity in town rides. In all weather the helmet has done good. Ventilation COULD be a bit better at top of head, but it is not horrible. IS better venting than my Fulmer full face is. Esp. over 40 MPH. SIZING: This helmet seems to favor smack dab between medium to the long oval shape. Also if you normally wear a large, most likely you would need an XL with LS2 Strobe. My Fulmer is a snug fir in large, my Strobe is a very slightly looser fit in XL. I have, and do still highly recommend this helmet! For DANG SURE recommend it if you are not making you tube vids!

9 months with the LS2 Strobe
I figured after 9 months it was time to review this helmet. Purchased hi-viz to hopefully be seen by cage drivers and have been told it does stand out. I wanted a modular that I could put on and remove with my glasses on, and it does well for that. Fits well. Does fog at times but is easily cleared by opening the visor 1 click for a few seconds. It does not have the airflow I expected, but again, I just open the visor a little and get better airflow. I ride a Burgman 650 with a Givi windshield so I don't get the air blast like a naked bike does so that may account for the perceived lack of venting. Love the built in sun visor and the quick release strap. It is a bit noisy but I wear earplugs to cancel most of the noise anyway. My opinion is that you can't beat it for the money. Revzilla shipped it to me very quickly, I'm impressed with the shipping.

Good helmet, but a few quirks
I just got a LS2 Strobe helmet for New Year's (was supposed to be Christmass present, but missed that a little bit). I used to wear a HJC SY-Max III helmet so that is what I am comparing the Strobe to.
The fit is true; I measured a large and it fits very nicely. The eye glass channels are a bit strange and took a little bit to get used to. The chin bar is slightly close to my chin and rubs my chin if I extend it out a bit (not a normal position I do, but I can tell the chin guard is much closer than my old Sy Max (slightly annoying but definitely not a show stopper). I would say my head is longer and slightly oval.
The biggest negative attribute I have noticed so far is this helmet fogs up FAST --- even with the pinlock visor guard. I have tried without the chin piece (soft piece that comes with the helmet to seal cold wind from getting under your helmet) and without the nose guard, to no avail. It has been sub 30 degrees here in central Tennessee since New Year's and minus this last week (snow finally found us :( ) I have been riding pretty much every day. The ventilation on this helmet is not the greatest; especially when standing still -- I usually ride with my visor open so it is not a big deal, but on those days I was riding when it was in the 'teens I had to keep my visor open a tad so it wouldn't fog over.
As for the noise level, I am not noticing much difference from my Sy-Max, but again these helmets are modulars and I ride with my visor open so I always have ear plugs in. This helmet is almost 1/2 lb lighter than my Sy-Max and fits comfortably.
I ride a Goldwing 1500 but the windshield top is right at my eye level; the shape seems to be nice -- no buffeting noticed. I will be installing a bluetooth communication system soon, which will be a bit interesting as the shaded visor (works very nicely -- dark enough to filter out bright sun but not too dark at dusk) switch is on the left side -- shouldn't be that bad, just mount the unit a bit further back.
For the price, it definitely is a great deal and the few minor issues (chin guard a bit close and the fogging issue) are things I can live with.
