Leatt Dual Axis Knee Guards

The Leatt Dual Axis knee and shin guards are comfortable, well-ventilated protectors with two pivot points that allow them to more accurately bend with the knee’s natural movement. They cover the knee, even when fully bent, as well as the lower thigh and most of the lower legs. Great levels of impact protection are proven by the CE impact safety standard they are certified to. They are also certified to CE’s abrasion resistance safety standard. The strap buckles are low profile with no edges to hang up on your riding pants. Straps are also backed by soft, comfortable, vented airprene material that resists slipping. Lighter weight, comfortable and offers more freedom of movement than almost any other CE certified protection system.

Well, my knees aren't broken!
I got these for riding dirt bikes, and they've already earned their pricetag. I'm pretty small, 5'3" female, and they fit me well, either over leggings, or over MX pants (they didn't fit underneath, so I had to wear them over). They're kind of bulky, so unless your pants have a lot of room they aren't going to fit underneath. Though there aren't any big protruding parts. They don't inhibit movement, and once on the bike I didn't even notice I had them on. They were comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I fell down a few times wearing them, and they definitely saved my knee. A bunch of rocks had gouged the hard plastic covering the knee cap when my leg was caught underneath the bike, and I walked away with not even a bruise. For me, that's the best possible review that I could give a piece of protective gear.

Sleek and tough
I really like the design and feel of these guards. Comfy with medium protection. The only thing that was a huge let down was the snap that locks these in. Its plastic. I get the feeling they are going to break from the strap tension before me going down in them. They should have made the fasteners with some kind of durable material like metal, not plastic. The padding inside feels great and I have yet to test the outer tough shell on the concrete. I wear them over my jeans and can walk just fine in these. Overall I like them enough to not return them but they are overpriced(imo). I expect the fasteners to be an easy and very inconvenient fix.

Awesome Knee Guards
These offer the best protection I have seen yet for the price and fit under my ridding jeans (just a little snug in the knee). They are very comfortable on a full day of ridding. If you make any stops you can still walk around without having to take them off. They stay in place under my jeans as long as I’m not running or jumping around too much. As others have stated they do not bind up in the back of the knee when ridding so you forget they are on.

I have used the Forcefield Limb Tubes and Dainese Easy Fit Knee Guard; both are comfortable but do not offer the same level of protection as Leatt Dual Axis Knee Guards but the Leatt Knee Guards are just as comfortable if not more.

Size Chart measurements put me at the top of the LG-XL size 20 Above Knee and 17 Below Knee but they were way too small. I sent them back and got the 2XL and they fit great. If you wear a tall boot you might have some clearance issues with the lower part shin guard.

Excellent Value
These are great. They fit well, I'm 6'2" 190lbs and the LG/XL size fit me very well. I don't have huge calves and I wear a 34" inseam jean, which is to my heel if that helps.

These are CE impact and abrasion rated, better than all the other brands I found on here. I ride a sport bike and these are perfect under my Dainese Kansas 1K Jeans (Size 34).

Overall I recommend these, 5 stars.

Exactly what I was looking for
I'm not sure what kind of skinny jeans other reviewers are wearing but these fit under my Kevlar jeans nicely. They are fully articulated for full extension of the legs, which fold up nicely in the full tuck position and extend nicely while walking around in them. I've put on 1,500 miles with them so far and my only complaint is that the straps do bite into the back of your legs sometimes, but this can be avoided by pulling the straps up before mounting the bike or wearing compression pants underneath. The quick attach and detach is a nice feature to save on the velcro straps. When wearing these in combination with armored riding boots you almost feel invincible. For the price, these can't be beat.

Best pads for the price.
So I have had these for a couple months now and thought I should give a long term review. So after riding with these for that long I still love them. They offer great protection ( ce rated too), they look great, they flow enough air to keep you from sweating on the hot days but not enough to freeze you on the cold ones, and probably my favorite part is the clips for the strap system it's extremely fast on and off. For those wondering this will only really work over pants or with shorts. Possibly it will fit under super baggy pants or motocross pants. As far as longevity they still look brand new no fraying on the band's or loss of elasticity and wear these a couple times a week at least. So these will last you a long time. So for ce rated armor with I forgot to say a great range of motion you will seriously forget your wearing them, they are fantastic could not recommend more.

Great fit and very comfortable, they don't get hung up or rub against my bike. Once they're on and you're riding you forget your wearing them.
There very comfortable and have good airflow. I really like the wide straps that keep them attached to your thighs. They never bind up so you don't get the tourniquet affect. You only need to adjust the straps one time, after that the snaps make them easy to take on and off. They let your knees fold up tight, so if you ride a sport bike they are very comfortable (I have a 2014 Streep Triple R). You really don't want to walk around in them because they don't allow full extension of the leg. They're not really made to wear under pants, they'd have to be to baggy. They're very well made and seem like they will be very protective in the event of crashing.

Very Comfortable
I like these a lot. When I wear them I don't think about them much... that is ideal. The only thing is occasionally I will pull them back up a bit if I have been walking around. When on the bike this doesn't come up.

I have chicken like legs and am 5'8". The large set seems to fit just fine. I really, really like the quick connect strap ends that don't have to be readjusted and don't require loosening and reapplying Velcro each time they are used.

Took a pretty good stick to the shin yesterday and I hardly felt anything... mostly just noise.

I didn't rate durability as I have only ridden in these a few times so far. I didn't rate airflow either as I can't tell wearing these over jeans. But the vents do catch a lot of weeds.

Excellent protection for a good price.
Great knee protection without limiting movement.

I have had these for about a year.

I ride daily a couple of hours. They are still perfect.

Took a few tumbles off road and even ripped a pair of pants at the knee. Just a tiny bruise on the knee. I went kitesurfing the same day.

Good Knee Guard
Pretty comfortable, even on long rides and offers good protection. I had two hard spills on rocky terrain and no damage to knees.
A couple of screws fell out after two rides and Leatt replaced them in a timely fashion. I used Locktite on all screws since and experienced no such problems again.
Another reviewer mentioned that they were bulky, but they fit under both of my MX pants quite well and I don't think a knee guard that offers this amount of protection can be any smaller in size.
Based on the service from Leatt, I would buy this brand again.
