I love the transition lens.
The fit of the helmet feels great. This is just what I was looking for in a helmet. The price of the helmet was worth it. The transition lens is great tried it out the day I got it works great. I love the helmet

Excellent touring choice....
Magical tinted screen that is completely fog free with the insert, this is a true all conditions helmet. Extemely light and with the best ventilation I've experienced in a helmet it almost feels like you are going without. Initial quality exceeds my Shoei. Only downside is that it is a bit noisy but as we should all use earplugs or com system not really an issue.

I bought two of these helmets and I'm very disappointed, after waiting a few months to be able to purchase what a waste of time. The fit is good if your able to put it on ( very narrow getting past your ears) second the rubber plugs on the bottom of it to cover the bluetooth connections keep falling off if your not carefull you will loss them eventually. To top it off it did not come with the rain stoppers an revzilla can not give me a date when they will be available to ship, should have been included in the package. So if it rains you'll be getting wet. It a beautiful helmet if looks is what your after but if your looking for a helmet for comfort and not have to worry about losing pieces of it this is not the helmet or you.

Lazer Monaco Window helmet. Just a touch away from perfect
This is a very good helmet, almost great. Light weight, great cooling, good view, and not noisy, so what keeps it from being great? It is struggle to put on. The opening is so tight you have to really pull on the sides to put it on and it is still very tight. Fits well once you get it over your head. Does fit on the small side. Had to exchange and XL for a 2XL. Revzilla was great with the exchange. Painless! So if putting the helmet on was painless it would be perfect. Still a very good helmet and bought as a replacement for a Schuberth C3 so a very good value in comparison.

Awesome looking light weight helmet
Love this helmet. Has everything I wanted: carbon fiber, modular, transition shield. All work together to make this an awesome helmet. Quieter than I expected too. The transition shield is amazing.

Exceptional Helmet, nice features, and great value.
I bought this helmet to replace an old full-face HJC CL-14, size large. I wanted a modular helmet, but not the extra weight. All the other features are a bonus for me, including the price.

Size & Fit: I purchased the LG 59-60.
My head sized measured 23 3/8" (59.37). I thought a LG would be too small based on other reviews. However, after wearing it a few times it seems fine, but tighter than the CL-14 (a good thing). My head seems like it may be a bit oval. I measured 10" side-to-side, and 12" front-to-back (2" difference). I removed the ear pads for more comfort, but more noise. I will try them again after more break-in time. The chinbar needs to be open to put the helmet on. Like my CL-14 I need to pull on the straps to put the helmet on. So I really don't have any problems or issues with putting the helmet on.

Weight: Noticeably lighter than my old CL-14. NICE!

Noise: It is not quiet, but seems quieter than the CL-14. Of course it is noisier w/o the ear pads. I wear ear plugs so any
noise is not an issue for me. Note, I thought I was hearing an alarm from the bike occasionally when wearing this helmet. I later determined that it was the helmet making a whistling noise thru the upper air vent if I tilted my head down further than normal.

Buckle: I had never used this type of buckle before. I love it! On/off is very easy and it doesn't interfere with or bother my
throat/neck area. Need a cable lock to secure the helmet to the bike.

Shield: I didn't think the Lumino photochromic shield would work for me because I have very sensitive eyes (from surgeries). However, it does get dark enough and I don't need sun glasses. The shield is great! I haven't used or needed the pinlock lens.

I'm extremely pleased with this helmet.

Great Helmet for the price
Helmet good fit for my head, like a tight fitting helmet so ordered 1 size down. Cheek pads changeable to compensate for size difference. Great ventilation, very light weight and great visor.
All round terrific helmet for touring rider.

Great Helmet
I ordered this for the modular design and light weight. Most modulars are too heavy for me. I love the helmet looks, fit and features. I have not got the cheek pads broke in, but they are getting there. Looking at a bluetooth system to use with it. The visor has great vision, no wavy lines and changes colors where I can see day or night. There are not much directions but Revzilla has great customer service.

This product has great features
I initially bought a Shark Evoline 3 ST Arona Helmet and I returned that helmet immediately after I saw how chunkily the sun visor flapped around inside the helmet when I opened the box. I was not about to disassemble the Shark helmet to try and fix what-ever was loose to begin with. Being able to see/feel/touch/try on both helmets, that is the Shark and this LaZer helmet; I can say this much about the two helmets... The LaZer Monaco helmet is TWICE the helmet of the Shark helmet. The only minor thing the Shark helmet had going for it was the chin guard being able to move to the back of your head...BIG DEAL.... it is not worth it. Save you time and anguish and get the LaZer helmet right off the bat.

Very light for a module helmet and I love the light sensitive face shield. The only problem is entering tunnels as it doesn't change back to clear fast enough so you just have to lift the face shield.

where else can I get a full carbon, modular helmet that comes with a photochromatic face shield that is also pinlocked?

great features and reviews. I hope the sizing is true or close.
Tommy L on Jan 28, 2015
the reviews I read and the lightweight
Georgia G on Jan 23, 2015
I was in the market for either a full face or modular helmet, and this one just stood out based on reviews, features, and looks. Awesome price, especially on sale, for a carbon helmet. I'd been meaning to get a carbon helmet down the line to match my ride, a Ducati Diavel Carbon, and the price of the Lazer Monaco was too tempting to pass on. Excellent reviews across the board and RevZilla's exemplary reputation sealed the deal. First time shopping here, and if all goes well, I'll be back!
Gino C on Jan 17, 2015
Picked this helmet due to great reviews and carbon fiber safety benefits. This helmet is a great bang for your buck if you want a modular with great included features. Can't beat it!
Derek C on Jan 6, 2015
great value for price
Dean K on Dec 31, 2014
Looked like a good value. Unfortunately, it was too small. Even though my head circumference was within the spec range, the helmet was too narrow, and the chin bar was too close to my chin. Too bad they do not offer a 3XL.
John C on Dec 27, 2014
The LaZer helmet had decent reviews and the price was right.

The carbon fiber, modular, and most important the high reviews on the photochromic shield.
Albert K I on Aug 9, 2014
Super lightweight, carbon fiber strength, photo chromatic shield, and retro black/white color for visibility and style.
Cedric B on Aug 7, 2014
I wear glasses most of the time because contacts irritate me. I have transition glasses but they don't transition with other helmets because of the UV protection on the shields. I have other modular helmets that are heavy and loud. This seems like a good lightweight option for me.
Alberto B on Aug 7, 2014
Super features !! Photo reactive shield , modular Ultra light weight !! AND Looks Groovey !!
Joel Q on Jul 30, 2014
This is my second Monaco. The first one is being replaced after 17 months of use because of a drop. I strayed and checked out an RPHA Max, but the shape doesn't fit my head shape, and I had some other issues (see my review of the RPHA Max). My only two knocks on the Monaco is that it is a little loud at highway speeds (ear buds take care of that,) and there is no snap or retention for the loose end of the chin strap. Otherwise, it rocks and is my personal favorite.
02Klausrider on Jul 17, 2014
Its cool!
Tarou N on Jun 13, 2014
I liked the video information about this helmet. The Hi-Viz was out of stock and I'm getting my bike in two days so I went with the brightest one I could find from LaZer (which actually matches the color on the bike).

I measured my head as instructed and got a 58cm. Im in between a Medium and Large and looking to get the Window Pure Carbon. Im getting conflicting opinions on which to get as the reviews have said they run small and I should get the large but I don't want to get the large and be left with a helmet that could have a better snug fit. Would appreciate your help on this. Need to be certain and dont want to go through bringing the helmet back for a replace as I live outside the US. Do I get a Large or Medium?
A shopper on Dec 18, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Regarding your sizing question for the Lazer Pure Carbon Monaco helmet. I have an oval to round shaped crown that measures 561/2 cm. I also have a square jaw and wide cheekbones, making my face more square or round rather than long. The Lazer size chart says S is 55-56 and M is 57-58.

I bought the Medium and substituted the thinnest cheek pads to accommodate my jaw/cheeks. It fits snugly enough around the crown and chin and does not slip or move at high speeds. If I had bought the Small, the fit around the crown would have been fine, but I would have had difficulty spreading the sides to get it on and off.

I bought mine last winter. I like the helmet. I'm sure there are more reviews available to read than last winter. Pay attention to how they say head and face shape affect the fit.

Best of luck'
Couple of questions:

shape. Shoei RF1100 fits me great - as does Neotec (small). Aria helmets don't. Is the shape of the Lazer similar to shoei in shape?

Visors - do you carry them in stock?

Modular: can you ride with chin/visor up or is it strictly for talking/eating etc.

Nick W on Nov 7, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I would say shape is more oval similar to Shoei. The Lazer has much thinner padding though. lazer is also a tight fitting helmet. order to the larger size.
The chin bar can be up while riding but at speed will be effected by wind pushing your head back. Lazer also builds in a breakaway device in case of a crash with the chin bar up it will flip all the way back.
It is a great helmet once you get accustom to it.
Hello, was wondering do you have to open the face to put the helmet on?
keith c on Mar 8, 2014
BEST ANSWER: You don't *have* to, but it is difficult for me to get it on without opening it. It is much easier with the chin bar open. I have the carbon in size small, the helmet seems pretty stiff. Spreading it enough to get my head in is tough.
Please explain the chin vent lever positions. Can't figure it out. Can't tell the difference between the three positions. Help?
Snakebite on Jul 26, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Middle is closed. Both right and left are open. Don't think it matters which.
I love the photochomatic shield BUT the helmet instructions say that it should not be used at night. This seems to defeat the point: based on these instructions if you're riding somewhere during sunlight hours with the photochromatic shield, and then ride back after dark you are supposed to remove the photochromatic shield and put a regular shield?!? Can someone explain why there may be issues with using it at night? If you have experience please share it.
Cedric B on Jul 27, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Not an issue in the slightest, the visor is virtually clear at night. It's probably a legal requirement in some country or other.

On a side note, after lots and lots of Km thus is the first helmet that I still love once the euphoria of buying has died away. It is a very good helmet.

Two more questions. Is the com system wiring removable (so I can install my Harley system)? I see they are supposed to be eyeglass friendly, but are the really?
Joe R on Dec 5, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The com system wiring is under the lining and shouldn't get in your way for some other system. I didn't even know it was there at first.

As for wearing eyeglasses, you kind of need to put the helmet on and put your glasses on with the chin bar up. It is possible to put the helmet on with glasses on but it isn't easy. One reason is that the helmet is very tight when new. Yo might have seen other reviews that say to get a size larger. But after 6 months mine is no longer so tight. But, yes, I wear yellow polarized sunglasses all the time.
I was curious has anyone gotten the cheek section to spread a bit on its own? I was just wondering I JUST recieved my XL in the mail and wanted to know if this is just ALWAYS going to be a bear putting on?
A shopper on Feb 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Either it got easier on its own or I just got used to it. It is a snug fit. Great helmet! No more stiff neck on long tours and the polychromatic lens is very responsive.
Does the micrometric chin buckle work with underseat helmet locks?
A shopper on Jun 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: If the helmet lock is a pin idea going though the D-ring, no. BUT there is an adapter key shaped thingy made that goes through the chin ratchet fastener on the helmet and it has a hole on the other end that accepts a helmet lock pin. Depends on what you have for an underseat lock. Can you describe it?
I ride a 2014 Harley Ultra Limited which has it's own proprietary communication system. I know this helmet has pre installed speakers and wiring but I would to be able to use my Harley system. Will my speakers and mike fit?
A shopper on Dec 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: If your Harley uses Bluetooth it should work. I use mine on a BMW. The Bluetooth kit for the Monaco is sold separately however the wiring comes preinstalled. You could rewire the helmet for another communicator, however the lazer kit is fully integrated and has no parts hanging off.
Have the SMH10 with universal microphone kit and was wondering about which helmet would be better. I am considering this helmet, the HJC RPHA MAX or the Lazer Monaco carbon. Any help or advice that you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Which helmet
does the SMH10 fit better?
A shopper on May 1, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I have the SMH10 in a LaZar Monaco. It *does* take a bit of tweaking/fuss to get it mounted in the perfect position (where it fits, but won't interfere with the flip-up). Perhaps 30 minutes instead of the usual 10-15.

That being said, it's well worth it. The Monaco can be slightly noisier than other helmets at freeway speeds, but it is far and away the best helmet I've ever owned - and I've owned a LOT of high end helmets... RF700-1000, Neotec, Schuberth, etc. It may be lighter than the 1pc helmets I've owned and the auto-darkening shield is worth it's weight in gold - no need to carry hard-to-pack space-wasting extra shields, no time wasted changing shields 2-3 times a day, etc.
Get the Monaco. As long as it fits your head, you won't be sorry.
Good luck!
