Kaoko Throttle Lock BMW R1200GS/Adventure / R1200ST

The Kaoko Cruise Control is perfect for anyone looking to reduce fatigue and strain on your hand and wrist during long distance highway riding.

Each Throttle Lock consists of a simple, ingenious and robustly designed friction nut that is integrated with a special Kaoko bar end weight. The Kaoko bar end weight is closely matched in appearance and weight to the Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) bar end weight.

The Friction Nut has a left-hand thread. It must be adjusted so that it makes light contact with the rubber throttle sleeve.

The Grub Screw is set to provide the necessary resistance on the friction nut. This may be adjusted periodically to take up wear.

To Engage: Twist the throttle and friction nut simultaneously with your right hand. This action tightens the nut and provides sufficient friction to set throttle to the desired position. The friction nut is designed that the rider may still open and close the throttle.

To Disengage: Roll off the throttle while gripping the friction nut. The throttle should open and snap closed freely.

Type A: Compatible with or without OEM or Touratech Handguards

Type B: Compatible with Barkbusters Handguards

Pricy, but VERY well made product.
This is a very well designed and thought after product, to the last detail.
It comes with some extra washers for those little tolerances may be found, and have all kind of little things showing the attention for details by the creator. For example, the little screw that tight the lock ring - pushes spring plastic against the thread, not the screw itself, or the O ring between the lock ring and the body, gives you a "soft" end, and the point that it is heavy part that function like the original handlebar end, to reduce vibes.
Installation is a snap. In 10 minutes, you're done and finished your coffee...
If you are about engineering - a pure pleasure for you.
Most important, should I put it at the TOP? Using throttle lock is fantastic, IMHO better than cruise control.
Although it is pricey item, I'd buy it again.

Activating is simple but turning it off without jerking your rider around requires some manipulation of the clutch and throttle lock.
