Score a deal with this SPLINTERED pattern!
I'm sick of my leather. It is heavy, bulky, not good in the rain, and lets in too much cold when it is windy. I don't have a screen on my cruiser so I can get pretty chilly fast.

I started looking for safe textiles, but wow...they get expensive fast, and it is like the purposely design them to be as ugly as possible.

I've been motorcycling enough now where I am at the point where I don't care tooooooo much about how I look on the bike, but given a choice I'm rolling with the more stylish option.

The Icon DKR nailed all my requirements AND looks cool! I go to Revzilla to buy it (of course) and I see that the SPLINTERED edition is almost half the price of the normal color variants. Only problem...in the pictures it looks awful. No wonder they aren't selling.

I swallowed my pride based on everything else the jacket offers, and I love my other Icon gear, and it was too much of a savings to pass up. I bought it.

In person this looks SO MUCH BETTER! My wife and best friend gave me heck when I showed them the pictures for how awful it looked online, but in real life they couldn't believe it is the same jacket. Yeah, it is ostentatious, but not the least bit ugly.

It is warm, keeps me dry, but also MUCH lightler than my leather, and the breathability is great! I am so happy I purchased it!

The ONLY thing is that the collar presses into my adam's apple when buttoned up and its not comfortable...I can stand it, but meh. Luckily I only need to do this in rain, so it isn't a problem for me.

Buy this jacket, and buy the Splintered pattern. You get a cool sharpied in limited serial number (I'm #157 of 500) and safe enough money to buy gas for months!

P.S. Some people complain about the hand liner/insulators. But I actually really love how they are made and wish all jackets had them...

DKR fit for the Prince!
The DKR is a great all round jacket. Would I pay full price for it? Probably not, there are better options out there at that price point. That said, the Splintered version was the one I really wanted and at the discounted price it was an awesome deal.

The big selling features of the DKR jacket is its comfort, extremely low weight and waterproof/protective qualities.

I am always looking for creative ways to improve my visibility on my bikes (without looking like a bruised banana - you know who you are you wanna be HVB's) and this Splintered pattern totally hit the mark. It definitely looks better live than in pictures and its a limited edition so you likely wont pass one on the street.

For reference, I am 6ft 3 around 240 lbs with longish arms and I wear size 38 jeans and the XL fit me perfectly with the liner in. With the liner out it is a bit baggy but I bought it primarily as a cold and wet weather jacket so I do not mind. The vents work ok but anything over 80F is going to feel hot in this jacket. By comparison I can take my Klim Latitude Misano up to about 90F before it becomes unbearable. With the prober base layers you can take this jacket down to 30F. But who want to ride when its that cold?

If you are sitting on the fence about buying one I say go for it.

Awesome Jacket
So I've had this for about 8 months now and I'm a huge fan. When I first got it, I took out the liner since it was more bulk than I was used to, and it needs to be sub 40 F for me to be cold.

I didn't use it too much during the summer months, pretty much only when it rained, except for one long trip. It's no fault of the jacket, because without the liner, and with all the vents open it lets in enough air. I just have another jacket that's all mesh, so that got used for most of the warmer days.

Now that it's starting to get colder, I threw the liner back in and it's incredible. I had this on the highway in 22 F the other night and I wasn't the slightest bit chilled. Under it was just a t-shirt and a very lightweight pullover. It truly surprised me just how good it is at keeping the elements out.

It's a really comfortable coat, though maybe a bit heavy. Everything on it feels high quality and will likely last a long time. I really can't say enough good things about it. Great jacket, that will extend your riding season.

Cannot be beat for the price
The Icon Raiden DKR Splintered jacket is perfect for fans of Icon looking for a solid four season option with strong winter performance.

I've had this jacket with only the deadfall jersey and a long sleeve long john on underneath of it down to 28 degrees fahrenheit and felt comfortable on my trip between Philly and Baltimore.

Waterproofing is great, and most importantly it works (went through a car wash to test it out)!

Excelente Campera

Great fall riding jacket
Excellent quality. At this price is a steal. I think the Camo pattern is a gnarly forest face actually. They're numbered garments, only 500 made apparently. Waterproof, wind proof, and well armored. I'm 6'1" and 240 with long arms. XL fits me nice. I'm very happy with the purchase.

can the armor be removed?
A shopper on Aug 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, all 3 areas can be removed.
Is it otherwise the same as the regular DKR? Seems to be but just asking to be sure.
Thomas G on Dec 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This is the exactly the same as the regular DKR, just has a different graphic and only 500 were made. That's why its listed as a separate item. Get it at this closeout price and you won't be disappointed!! I'd buy mine 100 times over again!
I'm 5'10", 205lbs, 45" chest with 35" arms. That puts me at a XL+, but everyone says go lower. I ride mostly 50+ weather. Should I go with the Large instead?
Jeffrey O on Sep 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I'm 5'11 200lbs with a 44" chest and the medium fits me perfect with room for a fleece under. Large would probably be good if you like it just a little loose
