Easy Install, Good Sound
Just installed these in my 2005 Softail Deluxe with a MS batwing. The install/wiring was easy. For the switched power source I purchased a piggyback fuse holder from O'Reilly Auto Parts and plugged it in to the Acc 15amp fuse socket under the seat, with (2) 15amp fuses in the piggyback (one for the bike's ACC fuse and the other for the Hogtunes system). Crimp the supplied rings to the red and black wires, connect them to the battery terminals, Crimp the orange wire into the piggyback fuse wire connecter, and you're good to go. I was surprised at how loud these little speakers were at first. I turned the volume up to about 50% on my phone and it was so loud I thought I was about to blow the speakers. I went on a ride around my neighborhood but only got up to about 35mph due to a light drizzle starting. I'm curious to see how these perform at highway speeds.

The audio perch/volume control looks and feels cheap. The volume control buttons don't seem to do anything, although I think it MIGHT have increased the volume on one of the 50 or so times I pressed the buttons. The perch clamps to the handlebar, but the fastener for your audio device is just a piece of velcro that you're supposed to peel and stick to the back of your phone. I wouldn't trust a $700 phone at highway speeds secured only with a 2"x 2" piece of velcro. I'm ditching the Hogtunes audio perch and just placed an order for a RAM x-grip mount. I will just use the volume buttons on my phone.

There really aren't many "features" to brag on. It's a speaker system. You plug your the aux cable into the headphone jack on your phone and hit the road. I do like that they included a USB port so I can plug in a charge cable for long rides.

Overall I am very satisfied with my setup. The batwing fairing is awesome and adding an audio system for around a $1000 total investment, you can't really beat it.
