LUV the HJC RPHA ST
RPHA helmets are advertised to provide superior protection which is what matters most to me in a helmet. The flip down visor was worth the additional cost over other RPHA helmets, particularly useful as I ride with glasses to correct for nearsightedness and the visor covers my glasses (and looks very cool). Shield and visor go up and down easily. Shield is easy to remove and replace. Good air flow through the helmet. RPHA ST is light and super comfortable for a full face helmet. I tried a Shoei GT Air before buying the HJC RPHA ST and like the HJC RPHA ST MUCH better; I think my head is a bit too round for the Shoei and it gave me a headache during the trial wear. I like the way the RPHA looks.

First Crash, Highly Recommend
Well, I had my first accident last week. Off at about 45-50mph. Ended up with a broken collarbone, some bruised ribs, and a little road rash. I also smacked my head on the pavement a few good times. Everything happens in slow motion it seems and I remember thinking, after my head hit hard and bounced a couple times, "wow, that really didn't hurt at all..." Then I continued sliding and rolling and the pain on my right side and shoulder set in. But, this helmet saved my life I have no doubts.
It is light, comfortable and I can attest to ability to protect in a crash. I'm not sure I can upload a photo of the aftermath on the helmet or not but I will if I can figure that out. Thank you HJC, I will be looking to you for my replacement.

A great step up into a comfortable sport touring helmet!
I have been a GMax guy for years because I'd often found it hard to find a helmet that fit my head without smashing my jaw into the chin bar. I'm happy to say that the RPHA ST is a great fit for me, and should be for any intermediate oval.

Let's talk about what you're getting. I got a great closeout price and crazy fast shipping from the good folks at Revzilla. In the box was an owner's manual, chin curtain (attached), pinlock insert, and the helmet itself was inside a nice microfiber feeling helmet bag. Pretty swanky.

The silvercool lining feels incredible. I mean it, I was between sizes so I went down a size and it felt snug for a few hours in the house, but the liner was comfortable even while I was wearing it indoors. It's super soft and makes it much easier to get my head in and out, plus it's cushy and comfortable enough that during my 4 hour ride yesterday, I never overheated.

Which brings me to venting - I was a little concerned with only a chin and two position top vent... but this thing flows quite a lot of air - enough that I didn't feel the need to crack the visor unless I was caught at a really long stop light. One of the things I love is that I was getting air up over my brow area, which kept me very comfortable.

The visor itself can be opened, or closed, from the locked position with one hand. I've put the pinlock insert in and I didn't have any fog on my ride into work (45 degrees F). Since the lock is in the middle lower visor, you can use either hand.

The helmet is extremely comfortable in the upright position. I had wind gusts yesterday of 30-40mph, in addition to my 70mph speed, and there was no buffeting, no lift... just cool comfort and stability.

This, compared to my previous helmet, is like moving from a Toyota Corolla into a BMW. It's still snug, safe, and compact but the features and comfort make it well worth the price, even if you don't find it on sale.

As a side note, the photos don't do this helmet justice. I Have the high-viz and I know it looks more green - but it's really a nice, bright, high-viz yellow that still looks sporty enough that I'd feel totally ok with it on a sport bike.

I LOVE THIS HELMET!

Love it.
Joe Rocket Prime, Biltwell Bonanza, a cheap Scorpion can't remember the model. This is a list of my other helmets.
While I don't feel totally in love with the graphics of this helmet I am in love with everything else it offers. Very lite, great field of view, hi viz naming a few of the things it does exceptionally well. I wanted the Scorpion t1200 but Ben told pinlock was the way too go for true fog proofing. I'm glad I followed his advice.
Helmet feels solid and graphic is done well. I'm not an expert, never had a 300+ helmet but it is totally worth every penny.
I've put about 250 miles in it so far.

Excellent product
I have really enjoyed this product. I first ordered a medium but found it was to big. Returned the helmet and got a small which fit much better. Great air flow throughout the helmet. Can get kinda noisy at high way speeds but nothing that ear plugs can't fix. I purchased the Neon Green/Grey color helmet which I believe has been eye checking and stands out in traffic. Overall great helmet!

Best HJC Purchase
Could not believe the comfort once I tried it on in the store. I tried on some Icon Helmets but they are more of a oval fit. This helmet is snug and right away I knew it was going to break in perfect.

An outstanding upgrade!
My last helmet was a cheap icon helmet that I acquired off craigslist. I was not thrilled on the price of this helmet but after receiving it and using it for the last 3 weeks I love it. It has some good sound proofing, that drop down inside visor is awesome (straight jet fighter status) and the overall style of the helmet is awesome. I got mine with the high viz neon and if you are concerned with being seen at night that color definitely helps. It's light, feels durable (not made of cheap material), and has great features. Overall an outstanding upgrade.

Worth it
Worth every penny. I have the high viz yellow one and it looks sick, fits my head perfectly, im 6'2" 190# and I wear a 7 1/2 hat, i got the Large in this helmet. Ive never worn a super expensive helmet but this one is the lightest ive ever worn. I ride a Honda Grom so i wanted a helmet that was super bright and visible. This def does the trick. I love the pop down sun visor so i dont have to swap out visors or wear sunglasses. You'll get a ton of compliments with this.

4 and a half star...
I really love this helmet other than one minor imperfection- the drop down visor feels clumsy and cheap... Otherwise this helmet is almost perfect, because it is so light (for a helmet that has a internal drop down visor). It is a lot quieter than my Scropion EXO-R2000. I've been riding on the freeway and city, perform great and really comfortable. I strongly recommend someone who is looking for a more sport touring or backup helmet, this is probably one of the best in the market right now. I have a 59.4 cm head, so I bought a Large, and it fits pretty snug, I expect it to break in 10% in the next 800 miles. Loving it!!

Not to shabby
I like the helmet overall. The internal shield could use some more tweaking. It's pretty comfortable, HJC has stepped up the game.

High-viz, great looking graphic for a sport-touring helmet, safety features, and a pinlock insert included in the box - all at a sweet closeout price! This is a lot of helmet for the same price of something like the Scorpion T1200.

I ride a old school 1993 CBR 1000F. I commute at least 500 miles a month. I also like to carve canyons on the weekends that I'm not on the range. I chose this helmet because of its price point and features. I just ordered it so I can't offer any other comment until I ride with it.

has anyone successfully incorporated a Sena SMH-10 on this helmet?
Jorge M on May 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have the Sena 20S on mt RPHA ST Knuckle helmet. Not sure how much difference in the mounting from the SMH-10 but I was able to get a good mount with the 20S. Used the extra rubber pad on the clamp to provide space between the outside of the helmet and the electronic unit to go on and off easily. (extra rubber pad(s) are added on top of the existing rubber pad on the clamp and goes against the outside surface of helmet)
Does this helmet come with a chin curtain?
Antony R on May 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes it most certainly does. Just got my helmet in the mail last week came right in the box.
how does the shape of this helmet compare to HJC CL-16?
DonutBrigade on Sep 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I haven't tried on the CL-16, but it is very similar to the FG-17. The IS-17 is narrower in the face section and doesn't fit my head nearly as comfortable. This helmet also fits very similar to the Shoei GT-Air.

Doesn't really answer your question, but maybe it'll help someone else!
Is the silver graphic reflective for dusk or dawn use?
A shopper on Aug 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It's a flat paint. Even the yellow high-viz is flat - not reflective. You can put reflective tape on it, though.
does hjc rpha st come with double d or micro closure system?

BEST ANSWER: Double D.
I'm not a big fan of the integrated sun shield. Is a tinted face shield available for the helmet?
A shopper on Mar 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I bought the the mirrored one! When the sun is really cutting I use them together! I would suggest buying an extra pinlock insert for your tinted shield so that you have one on each! This helmet is awesome!
