Simple but excellent improvement
These bar raisers increase the height of the handlebars by about an 1 1/2 inches. While ergonomics are a matter of personal preference and each rider's geometry I've found this height an excellent compromise between maintaining the K's intended rider position and weight distribution while taking significant stress off my shoulders and neck. I could have installed them myself, I suppose, had them installed by a local dealer due to time and dealing with removing and reinstalling heated grips, throttlemeister, switches and controls. It's rated as an hour and a half job and a decent mechanic can do it un under an hour. So figure 150 bucks. I just returned from a 1200 mile trip to Canada over five days. They work, allowing me to deal with long, straight highways and sit up, stand up, one-hand it--when we got to the cool roads around the St. Lawrence I could dig in, lean over and ride like you need to. Simple, quality finish, nice addition.

Easy to Install (if you have the right Torx drivers), Improves Comfort
These bars are perhaps 1.5" higher and 1" further back from stock. They look good and seem to be really high quality (they better be for the price).

Installation is straightforward (and the directions are very clear and come with photos), but you will need a lot of torx screwdrivers, at least: T35, T25, T20, T10, and T8, if I remember correctly. That T8 is a bit of a challenge as the screw head is recessed deeply into a hole, so a T8 bit won't work. You need a screwdriver with a shaft not much larger than the T8 head (8mm).

Finally, once installed, stock brake and clutch lines seem to work, but require some careful routing and they get a little taught with the handlebars turned all the way left or right. Still, seems to be ok.

will the helibars for k1300s fit with a wunderlich throttle control. is the end same as the bmw bar?
Ronald F on Jul 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I don't know. It does fit the throttlemeister and Kaoke so if it's all standard threads I can't see why not.
I already have the hell bars and am looking to by grips. what is the bar end diameter?
Thanks,
Todd

BEST ANSWER: Grips or grip covers? I can't give you an exact answer but I know that the covers are generally available in 2 diameters. Use the smaller one. Hope that helps.
