Looks nice, but lacking finishing touches.
Pieces in kit are machined well, sturdy, and look great. The instructions were somewhat lacking. The kit requires you to pull apart your old fender assembly, cut the plastic wire channel and re-install. It looks pretty good when you are done, but I would have rather seen a standalone piece with an integrated wire guide area. Another thing is there is no way to hook up a license plate light. I am ordering a lighted license plate frame to take care of this. My only other gripe is that it was hard to get the plastic pop rivets to sit correctly after install.

Great looking product!
The graves fender eliminator kit looks amazing on the bike, especially when compared to the hideous fender that comes from the factory on the FZ-07. Was easy to install, although if you want the cleanest look possibly (as I did), you will need to be cutting some of the parts off of the original fender and fitting them to this kit. Not difficult, but must use caution not to cut in the wrong place.

looks great
Installation is somewhat involved for this as you need to take the rear plastics off of the bike to install and cut the stock wire guide to install correctly. Not hard to do, but a little time consuming. The finish is excellent and looks great, but it does not include a plate light so I hit up ebay and got some LED plate bolt lights to use. Has side plates for the turn signals that can either use the original blinkers, aftermarket ones with possibly needed adapters, or can take the side plates off if using an intergrated brake light/turn signal combo.

Overall, I would recommend this product.

Good product
Only gripe is that you have to cut the OEM plastic part that connects to the tail light. Have to cut three time ro get it to fit right. Even then the fitment is not perfect. Have to use duct tape to hold it in place. But it looks good after the install.

One of the best looking, but modifications ARE required..
I have a '16 Yamaha FZ-07. This is my second graves Fender Eliminator, and I've found a couple of things in common between the this set and the one for my '15 Yamaha R6:

1. The user will need to purchase an aftermarket license plate light to remain street legal. None is supplied in the box. $85 + $20 is very close to the price of the Yoshimura kit.
2. The license plate bolts need to be drilled out with a 1/4" bit. Finish/powder coating tolerances weren't accounted for during development.

Why did I go with this kit over the Yoshimura fender eliminator? Personally I think it's the best looking kit that has the ability to retain the stock turn signals. I like the final angle of the license plate opposed to the Yoshimura kit. The Yoshimura eliminator is tucked under the bike more, but the kit is almost perpendicular to the ground.

Why would I be extremely hesitant to purchase this product again? Modification were required to fit the fender eliminator properly. You have to cut and remove the plastic cable guide trim from the stock fender (can no longer re-use the fender in fully stock form at this point; OEM replacement is $35-50). Once this is done as per instructions, the eliminator's drop angle away from the bike is off by 1-2 degrees compared to stock, so the plastic trim does not align properly and rises above the eliminator closer to the license plate. I had to cut both alignment pins off the plastic trim in addition to shortening the length of the trim by an additional 1" over what the instructions stated to fit the plastic cable guide properly. The aluminum used is much thicker than the stock fender (good thing for durability), but causes the stock plastics to not fit back in place 100% like factory. And Finally, like most eliminators for the FZ-07, you will be left with two (2) long plastic rivets that will need to be replaced with shorter rivets due to the eliminator of the stock fender winglets.

What could Graves do to improve the kit?
1. Include a cable guide as part of the kit so the stock rear fender does not need to be destroyed
2. Ensure tolerances are correct and 99.9% like factory
-Finish
-Bracket thicknesses
3. Include shorter plastic rivets
4. Include a license plate light

(I would willing to pay more for a complete kit.)

Conclusion
I would not purchase this kit again. Though the Graves kit is one of the best looking fender eliminators out on the market that has the capability of retaining the factory turn signals, I would purchase the Yoshimura if I had to do this again; it comes with a license plate light and you do not need to destroy the factor rear fender to properly install it the kit.

Overpriced. Poor finish. Visually pleasing design.
Overpriced for what it is. Finish is lacking. Bubbles in the powdercoat. Metal cuts are jagged. Scratches left from the socket they used to tighten the ear nuts.

With that said, I am keeping it because I like the design and it is still cheaper than many other options.

Don't over pay
This product is identical to its cheaper, no brand name competitors. The product has basically nothing to it. Just go with the cheaper ones your wallet will be way happier.

do you still have a license plate light??
A shopper on Jun 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No, you eliminate the stock license plate light. The stock tail light provides enough illumination for the plate. If you want additional license plate illumination, you can add some license plate bolt lights. http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/custom-dynamics-license-plate-bolt-lights
