OK for the $
I have had mine since Sep '09. While it has been serviceable, I can't say that it stands out in any area but price (cost was $119.00). Fogs quickly, leaks in the rain and is somewhat noisy. The chin bar came apart on my son's helmet at about 4 years old. Mine is still good although a bit loose.

Great helmet for the price!
It does run slightly large. I was right on the edge of a M and L so I went with a M and it's snug, but not uncomfortable! Very easy to flip up at lights to get a breath and kept my face toasty warm in 20 degree NY weather.

Great Flip-Up/Modular for the price
The Derk design is nicely understated. Matte finish looks like it might be prone to scuffing but I haven't had any issues yet. Was concerned about weight, not being to able to find weight spec online, but it's surprisingly light. That is, it doesn't feel heavier than a typical full faced, non-modular helmet. A bit of wind buffetting if the head is turned to the side while travelling at speed, but not too bad. Wind noise is noticeable (prob. due to space by ears for speakers) but with earplugs in, it's not distracting or loud. Comes with a chin guard. Not too much space below my chin (have to make sure helmet is adjusted so chin portion of the helmet is positioned right.) Fit's my XL round head fine. Side liner is not removable so I had to pry the side from the shell to install bluetooth headset (and hotglue back together.) Not a big deal. Comes with a dark shield!

It's an inexpensive helmet for those looking for an inexpensive helmet.
My first full face helmet. I have always ridden with a half or 3/4, so I didn't want to spend a lot to find out how I would feel about it in the long run. This fit the bill perfectly.

It's an inexpensive helmet, but there's decent airflow and the field of vision is good. The latching mechanism is not robust, so I question it's ability to withstand a crash. It did come with a tinted visor which is nice, but a but of an overkill at this price point.

I usually wear a xxl helmet (big brain is my argument) and this actually was a bit big. I'd say most people could go down a size and be fine.

Decent helmet for the price, but much better to be had for slightly more money
I like this helmet for what it is, an entry level modular, however I have a few issues with it. First it does not feel very durable, especially in the hinge area of the face shield. One side has a rather sizable gap that is looser than the other which creates a lot of wind noise. The other major issue is weatherproofing, which i discovered at the worst possible time, in a downpour. The face shield began fogging heavily and water began leaking in along the top seal. It wasn't a huge amout of water, and actually helped to clear off a bit of the fogging, so I guess they might consider that a 'feature'. If I could take it back I would probably go for a better known brand which have entry level modulars $20-30 higher, but you get what you pay for. If you live in a dry climate and aren't bothered by wind noise much then it's not a bad choice, just not one I would make again.
