Great looking and so much utility!!!
Ok, so first I was looking for frame sliders, as recommended by Lemmy in his videos about the XSR900, however, I quickly stumbled on these safety cages. After asking at my dealer (who can't sell Revzilla gear but wants to; hint hint), he showed me a slightly different cage for his FZ09. I then researched and looked up as many pictures as I could (not many out there), then pulled the trigger when I saw it was 10% off and in stock.

Kinda sad it wasn't shipped out until the Monday after I ordered on Friday, but I inadvertently missed the 3pm threshold, so I had to deal with it. Once it was shipped on Monday, the tracking was easy and customer service responded to my query, even on a Sunday!

Finally, it arrived, just in time for my recall (something with the 2016 handlebars on XSR and FZ09's), so while they were doing that service, I had the dealer install this Givi TN2128 cage on there...

As they were installing it and as soon as I took it out of the box, I could tell that it was well-painted, solid welding work, and definitely matched up with the matte black used on my bike, so it would be a good fit. It also came with a bunch of parts and books, stickers, etc.

The entire install cost me $50-something dollars and looked like it was straight from the factory. Definitely looks and feels sturdy as hell, and a great looking addition to the naked sportbike styling.

Riding it home, it felt a little weird. I have huge feet...ladies ;)....but, yea, my size 13's were definitely toe'ing the new addition at first when braking the rear wheel or shifting gears. The bike's stability and handling seemed slightly off as well, due to the possible change in weight distribution?? Anyway, after about 3-5 miles, I adjusted my feet and got used to them being there; general message, for big feet take into account the shortened distance due to the cage being there.

After getting used to them, I began to embrace the change, and realized that the handling dynamics were possibly better? (maybe lowering center of gravity or just mental) Also, I found that they make great highway resting spots for your feet to stretch out, additionally, the notches on the gas tank fit my legs perfectly with my feet resting on the pegs (probably not recommended for safety reasons, but comfortable AF). I felt as comfortable as on a Victory or Harley with forward controls or highway pegs/crash bars.

In summary: they look awesome, they protect your bike, they act as foot rests (probably not safe), and have a great price point ($210ish with installation; which took a professional with all the right tools and space about 30 minutes to get done, so 2 bearder for sure and 4 stars there). I'm going to try to post pictures, since it was really hard to find any on Google images; *note the left side is asymmetrical to the right side, due to the configuration of gearbox/engine/etc.

Now, I just have to figure out how to raise my handle bars and push them back a little bit, so I can have an almost cruiser like ability to stretch out for long hauls, while retaining the sport forward leaning capability that comes with a naked sportbike/sport heritage style naked motorcycle. So far, the estimate is super high because of the brake lines being ABS and needing major rework to get handlebar risers or a new handlebar in there... TBC

Best looking option out there (at least from the pictures); also, it looks like it protects the motorcycle the most out of all the slider/cage choices that I've seen.
