Good knee protection where you want it.
I really wanted some knee protection when I rode and wanted it strapped to my body so it wouldn't move. I chose these but they were on TBD arrival time forever and so went with the Forcefield Limb Tubes in the interim. While those probably did their job it they still felt a little slapped together and were bulky. When these finally arrived it was a night and day difference. The unit armor is basically a net armor section enclosed in a padded pocket. The straps along with the elastic keep it where it should be and once on, the protector molds perfectly to my leg/knee. Comfort is excellent have really never noticed them once they are on. They are slightly bulky but much less so than the limb tubes, and for CE level 2 approved protection for a vital area I consider it small price to pay. I can't comment on the style but they are worn under my jeans so it makes no difference. Also I have not crashed in them and never hope to, so I'll take the word of lab testing results for protection. The only down side of them is they are very pricey, however so it knee surgery.

Comfortable to wear, great protection
The only thing I don't like is not having a hard outer shell, but none of the forcefield products do. I choose forcefield as it was recommended by another manufacturer of highend protective gear if I really wanted the best out there. My measurements were in the 15-151/2 inch range and I went with the small. The first time they were REALLY snug, seemed I'd need a medium. But, as with with all forcefield stuff, you have to give it time. There's a right and a left determined the tabs on the bottom. Pick which is which and stick with it. The Nitrex will mold to your knee. Although straight initially, it will bend. I use the protection above and below the nitrex to pull them on or off. I can put them on over socks, but take them off for removal. I find I have to help the elastic band the straps get over my heel, but other than that, they pull right on or off. Although the lycra and elastic is really tight at first, it rapidly loses that stretch and become more comfortable. The nitrex wraps nicely around the patella and shin. As far as air flow, it seems they keep my out in the airstream knees and shins warm under Draggin Jeans in 40's-50's weather so far, so in warmer climes, any protection will be hot. I got these for the CE Level 2 protection.

Lightweight, comfortable, hopefully effective.
Being an ATGATT rider, I needed something that felt like it would protect me, but wasn't overly conspicuous or uncomfortable. These knee protectors seem to be exactly what I needed.

Looks:
Since they go under my pants, it doesn't really matter how these look, but if I were the type to wear [or even own] shorts, I would be pleased with how cool these look. Definitely a step up from wearing what look like a hockey goalie's pads all day.

Comfort:
It takes a few tries to really find the perfect position for them, and they take a little bit to properly accustom to the shape of your leg. But once you have those two things sorted, these are absurdly comfortable. I've twice worn them at the office under my work pants all day, and no one was the wiser; they're low-profile enough to fit under slacks, and comfortable enough to wear all day if you really wanted to. I wouldn't actually recommend it, since that might not be great for your blood flow, but know that if you needed to, you could. They're not overly complicated to take off, either, so as long as you have a desk in front of you, you can roll your pant legs up all the way to your thighs to put them back on when you're ready to leave [if you're wearing even moderately-stretchy or loose pants]. Unfortunately, putting them back on if you're wearing thick or tight jeans /would/ require that you go to a bathroom and take your pants off. My only real caveat, comfort-wise, is that there's a tag on the inside right over the knee that is of a different material than the rest, and based on my all-day-wear tests, that is where it gets the most uncomfortable. If you have sensitive skin, consider removing the tag or sewing a thin material over it, because otherwise it could start to give you a rash.

Protection:
Here's where the real concern is. Now, they feel solid enough, and the honeycomb pattern seems like it would help with shock absorption, but it must be said that these are thin and lightweight enough that I'm concerned about their ability to really protect my knees in an impact. I don't doubt that they could be the difference between a shattered kneecap and a merely injured one, but as a roller derby player, I'm used to having a lot more padding on my kneepads. I wouldn't trust these to protect my knees on skates, so whether they would really protect significantly in a crash remains to be seen. Hopefully, I'll never have to find out. The guards do extend down to cover much of the shin area, and that *does* seem like a good idea--again, not steel armor, but might be the difference between a damaged femur and a destroyed one.

Durability:
These seem extremely durable, particularly because I'm wearing them under pants. No fraying, no slipping, no nothing. My only concern in this category is that the loops through which the velcro straps go through are fairly thin; when something on these knee guards does eventually fail due to wear, I predict it will be those.

Fit:
I have average calves and larger thighs [dang all that roller skating], so I was concerned that the M would fit lower part of my leg but not the upper. My concerns were unfounded. They fit perfectly.

Conclusion:
They look nice, they feel nice, they wear nice. I've already put 300 miles on them and have had no problems so far. Again, knock on wood, they haven't been tested in a collision, but they're certainly better than nothing. If you're looking for a kinda-sorta inexpensive knee guard that fits inconspicuously and comfortably under any slightly-loose pairs of pants, look no further. Forcefield is it.

Good discreet knee guard.
So, I really didn't like this at first. It was obnoxious to put on (and take off) and felt like it was going to constantly slide down around my ankles. But, after giving it a fair try, this has come to be my favorite knee armor. It stays in place really well, is fairly comfortable, and is very discreet.

My only real worry is the actual crash protection. It just doesn't seem like it would protect as well as some of the beefier armor on the market (like Icon's Stryker knee armor, for instance). However, it does have a CE2 rating, so maybe that's in my mind.

Some days I still wear the external armor when I feel like going with a Mad Max theme for my riding, or when I want the convenience of easily being able to take my armor off as soon as I step off the bike. Most days though, I automatically go for the Forcefield armor because it's discreet and comfortable enough.

First Rate Protection
What can I say? I really love the comfortable level 2 protection these provide. They fit great, they are comfortable and I feel they will stay in place in the event I ever need to test them. Together with my Forcefield Action Shorts - Pro Version, I ride with the confidence of knowing I have first rate protection on my knees, hips and tailbone.

Finally a greatfitting knee protector
I'm very muscular with big quads and calves and a small knee joint. These fit perfect and comfortable. I wear these under my draggin jeans. Awesome product. hopefully will never have the need for these but I feel highly protected and won't worry about my knees shattering into a million pieces. Stays tight to the knee and more comfortable than I thought. Not too bulky. Have yet to try them in extremely hot and humid conditions as far as breathability, but when it's that hot, you're going to sweat anyway. Best to have protection

Looks great, light weight but poor fit for me
I got the medium based on the fit chart but it was pretty tight. What kept me from trading it for the large was the upper fit strap ended up partially behind my knee and when my leg was bent the strap bit into my skin behind my knee (even without being tightened). Also the "non bunching" material behind the knee... bunched. I didn't see any point of exchanging as the design didn't fit my leg. I honestly don't see how it could be comfortable for any one else but the concept is great and wish it would have fit.

I commute to work and wear these all day. As I usually wear some sort of support band around my knees, these function for that as well. Fortunately haven't as yet found out how they function in a spill.

Great product. Comfortable. Just buy them.
I wear these under my Rokker Chinos and think they fit great and provide a reasonable amount of impact protection. I find them comfortable and they don't bunch up behind my knees. I'm thinking of getting the Forcefield Contakt shorts to compliment these. Love Forcefield products.

Great Product-adjust sizing chart
If you want first class protection for your knees you will not do better than this Forcefield product. As soon as you slip these protectors on you feel like this is something that will stay with you in the event of an off. If you wear riding jeans that are on the "loose fit" side this product will fit easily underneath. Once on you will have protection from above the knee to the top of your riding boots essentially protecting the whole lower leg. This product allows great air flow.
SIZING: Measure your leg approximately 3 inches above your knee. For those of you that measure 22"-23" at this point there is enough stretch in a LG to fit comfortably.

Whats the difference between this and the graph protector?
A shopper on Nov 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: To be honest, they seem very similar. I got the Knee protectors which may have more skid protection, location fixation with the straps, and breatheability, but I don't know for sure. It took about 3-4 days of wearing for mine to break-in, and now they're quite comfortable to wear.
