Forcefield EX-K Harness Flite +

Several years ago Forcefield’s designers set out to produce the highest performing, most adjustable and most comfortable upper body protection available. They succeeded by creating the Forcefield Extreme Harness. However time moves on, neck braces have become common place and the need for armor to be easier to wear, adjust and use is ever more important and so the team at Forcefield have created the EX-K Harness Flite Plus. The EX-K Harness retains the open design system for ultimate flexibility and comfort and now also features an easy to use central front zip, neck brace location point, CE Level 2 back and chest protection, and DuPont™ Kevlar® thread for added strength and durability.

Features:

  • Neck brace compatible
  • Constructed using Nitrex Evo, a unique high-tech triangular shock absorbing material
  • Designed to be both safe, cool, light and comfortable the Flite Plus is an “Open” system and uses Kevlar® thread, no fabric or mesh and no hard buckles, fasteners or studs and is fully adjustable for a truly tailored fit
  • RPT (Repeat Performance Technology) to ensure that even after multiple impacts there is no loss of protective performance and breathability and flexibility for added all day comfort
  • Soft, vented, flexible, comfortable and non-restrictive: it 3D molds itself to the riders body shape
  • All adjusters have secondary security straps
  • CE approved to EN1621-2 (Level 2) Back and Chest Protection and EN1621-1 Level 2 Shoulder Protection

Forcefield Extreme Harness - Probably saved my life
Previous model extreme harness. 1200GS vs deer in remote area. Broken collarbone, 5 ribs and elbow, almost 3hrs elapsed from incident to ER. Without the protection of the extreme harness I probably would not be here. State Trouper who viewed the scene said armor saved me, ER docs said same. Worth every penny. Great protection, easy enough to tune fit, versatile. I've spent many 10+ hr days on the bike wearing this harness.

Impressive level of protection
When shopping I was looking for the most protective set of armor I could find and I believe this is it. Like many others, I also wanted rib protection. This outfit does provide some rib protection, but definitely not full protection. I purchased the Forcefield EX-K Elbow Protectors, which Velcro together, to go with the suit and being that this is soft armor I believe there is less potential for ribs being injured by hard elbow armor being jammed into the rib cage. Time will tell though. I am really impressed with the level of protection from this outfit. As soon as I put it on I felt as if I could jump off a cliff, not recommend, and not be hurt. I have not yet crashed with this outfit on, but just hitting it with my fist it feels like this armor will far exceed any other armor I have worn or tested. There is a very high level of adjustability with all of the Velcro and the back protection seems to form to the shape of my back. Very confidence inspiring riding off road with this level of protection.

Bottom line, this is one of the very few complete CE level 2 armor sets out there and I would recommend it to anyone that wants the best when it comes to protection.

Heavy duty armor
When I first started riding all I had was a mesh jacket. That was fine until I had my first off. Then I wanted the heaviest armor I get could. There's no other armor out there as tough as this. The velcro straps make it easy to adjust and it stays put. The armor itself is Tonka tough. However, it's not bulky. I actually wear this under my mesh jacket in the summer and you wouldn't know I had armor on just by looking at me. I highly recommend this.

Complete upper body protection
I bought Forcefield as I was pointed in that direction by another manufacturer of higher end protective gear who told me, if I could afford it, go with Forcefield. Their level of protection vastly exceeds all others.
I'm a measured 39" at the chest below the armpits, barrel chested, high waisted, and wear medium, 38-40 everything. I was advised these run large, so ordered the small. I have their medium back protector, and it's clearly too big. The small is perfect at the back, the chest is snug, to say the least. Forcefield needs time to break in, and now, after a week, it's settling in. I had to manually form the chest to make it fit better. If you can, a second person to do the adjusting is helpful. Solo is difficult. I have a baggy size 42 Aerostitch jacket that I wear over these with a warm layer over the harness, and it's a very snug fit, almost restricting.. These are bulky. so just be advised they might not fit under your current outer garment

AMAZING ARMOR Solution!!!
I have tried several Armor configurations over the years and there always is some sort of compromise...coverage/fit, restricted movement, doesn't breath, etc...
The ForceField EX-K finally put a package together that has plenty of adjustability, stays in place, and a back protector that actually BREATHES!!!

Makes you feel like bear wrestling! (Don't do it ;))

Bravo!!!

Fits good and feels good.
The fit is great and it doesn't restrict movement. I wear it under leathers while riding the track (road course). The air flow is only restricted by the leathers that I wear over it. Good product. I would recommend it.

The best protection but bulky
This is the best armor you can get in my opinion. Design and fit is spot on. Feels great and very, very comfortable. I can't recommend this product highly enough. However, if you are looking at this as an alternative to wearing a jacket in the summertime I would caution you might reconsider. This is CE Level 2 and it's pretty thick! You feel safe no doubt, but there is a fine line between form and functionality versus comfort. For off road activities where you fall a lot this is perfect. Street riding? Hmmm. Probably not, especially if it's over 90 degrees.
I wear a 52 jacket, 5'10" 175lbs and the medium fit perfectly.

All in all this is a good product
Well all in all this is a good product it fits right except for the shoulder pads which I had to take off because the stitching came off on the right pad after wearing it 3 times. I found the elastic on the shoulder pads to be too snug to be comfortable on such large arms, but they would have been perfect for a smaller man. These minor issues will not stop me from buying forcefield products in the future and although I had to remove both pads from the harness I placed them in my riding jacket so I still feel protected.

Great protection, fits tight
Well made and looks like it will do the job. I was looking for level 2 armor and this fit the bill. The only drawback is the fit. I'm 6', 220lbs with a 44" chest. The large is slightly tight in the chest and tends to ride up slightly. Not particularly uncomfortable but I could use a little more room. Quality is outstanding.

I used the EX-K when I am riding around on my Yamaha WR250R dirt bike. Just got back from one month long trip in Rockies. Held up well. Tends to keep you warmer due to snug fig, which you want. Although, no spills yet, I feel more protected in the Forcefield than if I wore my jacket with built in armor.

I looked at different armor options for a while. I settled on the Forcefield EX-K Harness Flite Plus due to the ease of putting it on and taking it off. More importantly is the level 2 armor rating which for me was the biggest deciding factor.

wanted top of the line back and chest protection - would prefer if these all came with the sub-4 level of protection and with slightly larger area - heard great things about forcefield and what they're doing and really want to be able to walk away from any crash with amazing head, neck, back, and vitals protection.

I needed protection and this was new from a trusted name but it's kinda small for a bigger guy
Devalin S on Sep 24, 2015
This is one of a handful of chest protectors that are CE level 2! Combined with the integral nature of the harness and the age of my previous back protector, it was obvious. Level 2 protection front and back! I don't know about the shoulder portions under my leathers, but after researching the options, the extra expense was definitely worth it for the extra protection. If I never crash again, great. If I do, I'm going to be wearing this under my leathers!
Edward S on Jul 3, 2015

I have a couple questions:
-Does this have the same roost protection as a hard armor vest/jacket?
--Also, is there collar bone and shoulder protection like the Dianese Manis D1 Jacket
A shopper on May 3, 2015
Since they're sold separately, does either the Forcefield EX-K Harness Flite Plus OR the Forcefield EX-K Elbow Protectors come with straps to attach them together?

thanks
Laurie B on Aug 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: yes, they attach to each other.
I have a 38" chest (usually size medium or small if I want it snug) but a 22" inch torso which would put me in large according to the size chart. I'm tempted to trust the size chart but want it to fit tight enough to wear a shirt over it. Any thoughts?
Nicholas J on May 20, 2015
why does revzilla have so few reviews on forcefield products? would like to really see some reviews on their latest products specially this one.
J J on Apr 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This setup is actually brand new, I'd expect that's why there are no reviews. I pre-ordered 2 months ago and its been delayed several times from the manufacturer, was originally slated for delivery late march. It just came today, looks and fits great. I'll likely do a review this weekend on it.
Hi Everyone,

A question about sizing in regards to the Forcefield EX-K Harness Flite Plus body armor. I am 5'9" and 150lbs., with a 39" chest and 31" waist. What size do you feel would fit me best? Please let me know, thanks very much.

Ed

Are the shoulder pads removable?
A shopper on Jul 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Only the back and chest protectors are permanently attached.
Does this harness include shoulder protection only? What about elbow protection?
A shopper on Mar 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: the Flite Plus has shoulder, back (including sacrum), and chest. For elbows, you need to separately purchase the Forcefield elbow protectors.
I have a question about rib coverage, how much does it have? I can't tell by looking at the pictures and saw one comment saying it didn't fully cover the ribs.
jeff P on Jul 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I followed the fitment instructions on what size to purchase and was surprised I would t take a small. Ordered it. Adjusted the fittings. It is tight, but it did cover my ribs and I think slightly below my bottom rib. Tightness around chest bothered me. I wouldn't be able to use it with a heated jacket liner on under it. It did not hamper my movements. GREAT product. Great Protection.
Hi. I'm a female dirt-bike rider and I'm wondering how well this will fit me, especially around my chest. Will it conform and fit OK? Have you sold this to any other female riders and how has the product worked out for them?
A shopper on Jul 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I'm a male rider and I primarily ride street, but I wear this along with the elbow pads. The harness will conform to your body after you wear it for a bit. I had to do some adjusting when I got it, but it was very easy and after about a week, it conformed to my body
Are the shoulder pads removable?
Carlos M on Jul 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Wearing just the back and chest protection alone works well if the jacket I'm wearing already has shoulder/arm protection.
