Stylish and comfortable riding shoe, with a couple caveats...
The good:

First off, sizing; I usually wear a men's size 8 in most athletic shoes, and 41 EU/7.5 US in most riding/race boots. Needless to say, the sizing corresponds more along the lines of your favorite athletic shoes. I ordered a size 8, and the fit is spot on, if ever so slightly narrow. Those with wider feet may want to go a size up, for good measure.

Comfort is as good as your favorite pair of DC, Vans, or Converse, though slightly stiffer. They feel great off the bike.

Overall the quality seems to be good, with the outer leather being rather thick, and after a couple commutes to work they're breaking in nicely. Waterproofing also seems to be good, seeing I managed to step right into a puddle and my feet remained dry.

The caveats:

They don't breathe, but I expected this from a waterproof shoe.

The laces are too long, and there's no way to secure them to the shoe once tied (no tongue pocket or velcro fastening). I remedied this by knotting the laces at a comfortable medium that allows me to slip the shoes on, while permitting a certain level of snugness, then I tucked the excess lacing under the insole at the arch. Don't even notice them now.

Protective factor is near the non-existent zone on the protection scale, other than providing a stiffer shoe with over-ankle coverage, but then I'm used to full-on sport boots.

Recommended for:

I'd say these are good shoes for riding around town in the spring, fall, or mildly inclement weather. Worn with heavy denim or riding jeans, they do great for city commuting, jaunting down to the market, or just meeting up for grub with your peeps. You might even get away wearing them with your work/office slacks.

Not recommended for:

I wouldn't use these for spirited canyon carving, excessively hot weather, track days/racing (hope no one has tried), or long distance touring. The needed functionality and protection just aren't there for heavier duty riding activities. These will be my "around town and commuting" moto-shoes.

Solid Moto Shoe
Picked up my first bike a couple months back and wanted an actual moto shoe/boot that had correct ankle supports. Bought these shoes and am fairly happy with them.

They are water proof so naturally airflow is restricted. Foot got kind of hot riding int he summer months, but should be ok during fall for longer commutes and potential rain rides.

Due to the shape of the shoe, you REALLY have to loosen up all the laces just to be able to insert your foot, which can take a while and lengthen your prep time before you ride.

Chill riding shoe
Hello.

Just to give a quick idea of my riding style; I'm a 46 year old casual commuter and fair weather rider. I'm not an aggressive risk taker and very low key out on the streets.

My primary is a 30 year old 400cc bike that is All original and in near mint condition so I won't be lane splitting, doing pop-a-wheelies or going off any sick jumps dude.

The M16's will be an upgrade over my 5 year old canvas Chuck Taylors, after all, they're basically leather All Stars w/added toe, ankle, and heel protection and a somewhat of a shank in the sole. They fit much like my Chucks (same size) and I dig the old school throwback look, too.

Hope this helps.
Peace

Good for the Price
Bought these boots because they were affordable. They turned out not only be comfortable, but durable as well. Feet stayed dry after a few hours of rainy MSF class. Material is soft enough to wear ankle socks without discomfort. I am size 9.5 in VANS and purchased size 9. They fit well. Good buy for discreet affordable shoes.

Great riding shoes
Don't usually leave reviews but thought this might help someone make a decision.
I wear size 12 on most shoes and have narrow feet and small ankles . On most shoes I have to pull the laces all the way tight so my feet won't slide but with these I have to wear them loose . At first thought to return them because they we're quite uncomfortable due to the narrow and flat toe box and they felt stiff. I've owned these shoes for about a month at the time of this review . Been using them in my dayly commute and for joy rides here in TN for about 2 weeks now. These shoes have virtually no air flow and it can get really hot in there when standing still. Can't say much about protection but it has more than regular shoes. with that said, I've broken both ankles at the same time after a nasty high side at the track wearing $400 racing boots and feel more than comfortable with these on any "normal" low side situation. Haven't try them under wet conditions but expect no trouble there. The material is very resistant to abrasions and scratches too. Also, been wearing these daily to go to the store , dinner , movies etc they are very stylish and get compliments everywhere I go. strongly recommend these and find no cons except that it would be nice if I could get them in half size like in 12.5 for me because 13 would be too big.

Not bad, but not great.
Purchased these to provide a bit more protection than standard shoe when I got my first bike.

The good: Not a bad price point, reasonable bang for your buck factor, good protection, very water proof, also warm. Recommend for a winter short to medium distance commute.

The bad: These shoes will keep the rain out, but they may as well not since your feet will get drenched with sweat and stay that way until you air them out; I don't have especially sweaty feet. These shoes do NOT breathe. At all. They're also something of a pain to get on, but I guess that goes with the style. The ankle protectors have no padding so in a get-off, it's just a hard surface protecting your ankle from a hard surface. Finally, the little tab near the heel to help you put them on tore off the left shoe when I was trying them on.

If I had the option of returning them, I'd bite the bullet and go for the TCX X-Wrap shoes. Less clunky, and I would imagine the quality is better as well.

Love em
The shoe feels sturdy and comfortable. They look like converse all stars so they have some style too. The leather is durable and the shoe has a steel toe and heal configuration. I've had them for 8 months, used fairly regularly, and the shoe shows no sign of wear including on the left toe which is usually the first to go. For the price I don't think you could do better. I feel confident that in a wreck they would hold up.

Looks and feel better than Chuck Taylors!
They look outstanding. Look better and cost less than TCX's X-Street shoes. Black leather with a suede accent on the eyelets and top ankle rim..perfect with a pair of aramid lined jeans! Double-stitchng throughout. Size is spot on, but slightly narrow. Very comfortable, wish I had purchased these first before my other pairs of riding boots. Recommend going to next higher size if wearing thick socks. I have bare aluminum rearsets on my K8 GSXR 1000 and there are no scuff marks on my shift contact area. They look brand new! Thicker leather..can't be beat. The sole is stiff enough and comfortable, I can walk around all day in them. Sufficient protection for casual local riding and feel light. No fatigue after wearing all day. I will buy two more pairs soon in case they change the style. Can"t beat the sub $100.00 price and free shipping. Definitely will recommend to fellow bikers.

Great starter shoe - Great bang for the Buck.
I would recommend these for a first time rider.
"Great Bang for the buck" and perfect for an entry level moto-shoe. Worked fine for the Motorcycle Safety classes too!

After owning them for about two years, One of the ankle protectors piece came loose inside the shoe.

I called RevZilla and they gave me some credit even though they were out of warranty and I have had them for two years! Amazing.

The shoes may not be at the top of the charts but if you are just starting out, they are perfect! Best part is Revzilla has your back - Makes the purchase so easy when you know the people you bought them from, will help you out long after you bought them!

Is there going to be a video on these? How do they compare to the Cortech Vice WP Shoes/Riding Shoes? I like the style of both and am wondering about its technical merits, how well it holds up/dries out if you get caught in the rain (or Florida storms), and if they're too warm to wear regularly.
A shopper on May 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: There is a video on the shoes now, both waterproof and non waterproof are great shoes. I ride almost everyday and they work great and for a plus they are good off the bike as well, I have got bot types of the M16 and I never carry different shoes to change into after my ride.
i'm a female who wears size 7 shoes. Is there a male size that would fit me?
A shopper on May 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: on a shoe size conversion a size 7 in female is a 5.5 in male, the smallest size this comes in is an 8 so you would need to be ok with a 9.5 in female to fit this shoe. hope this helps some.
Hi do these shoes run large or small Because there are no half sizes?
Thanks Dennis
A shopper on Apr 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I just got mine last week, and have worn them for a few days. I got size 11's and they are spot on. For reference, my normal shoes are sketchers.
Do they get worn out because of no extra padding/protection when changing gears?
Juan Sebastian M on Apr 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No indication of any extra wear in a year of use.
Does the top of the shoe stay in good shape when shifting?
Jeff S on Jun 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes. The leather on the top of the shoes is pretty substantial. Kinda surprised me. After a year of pretty heavy use, they are still in real good shape. And they are excellent for bike commuters because they are comfortable to walk in all day. I will wear out the rubber soles before the tops of the shoes.
Do they come in wide sizes ?
