Crashed with these on
I bought these wanting a little more protection than normal shoes but without looking like I was racing all over town and could wear these to work.
These shoes are VERY lightweight and are pretty comfortable. Yes, they are stiffer than a normal shoe, but come on, that is expected when trading off for more protection. This extra stiffness is what saved my left foot from being broken in a recent wreck at 40MPH. My big and pinky toes were bruised and hurt, but no breaks so I classify that as a win!
There was actually no damage to the shoes at all, but the lateral (left to right) crush protection of the sole of the shoe is what saved my foot.

They also have decent enough air flow to keep my feet from sweating and with a slightly thicker sock are good enough to keep my feet warm on most rides.

These shoes look like ordinary kicks, feel a little rigid (so you know you have some levels of protection) and true to revzillas word, look great under a pair of jeans

Nothing negative to say about them, all and all, great product for the price!

Fresh!!
Just got these in .Just looking at them they look like stylish sneakers and I love that about them. If I had to wear them out I don't think anyone would know they were motorcycle shoes.
The material seems really nice and the shoe is constructed well. I deff feel safe in these.

Awesome style with great function
I ordered these looking for something stylish and protective. Obviously they are not going to compare to a pair of $500 racing boots, but they are great for every-day wear and city riding.

Great for my Commute
These riding shoes are great for that increased level of protection that is needed if you value your feet. They are nothing like a dedicated riding boot, but for a daily commute or city riding, I believe these shoes will do a good job at protecting your feet from life-changing damage if you were to take a spill. The foot bed is surprisingly rigid to avoid crushing, yet does not impede comfort. The waterproof feature works great. These shoes are also comfortable enough to ear throughout the workday and look good doing it.

Very Nice, Stylish, NARROW!!
Very nice shoes. Feel like sneakers with extra protection. I wear size 12 in every shoe I own. I could not even fit my foot in the 12. My foot is a little wide but nothing crazy. Otherwise, great.

Looks like a shoe, wears like a boot
I would recommend these to anyone riding a bike (or a bicycle), skateboarding, playing basketball, or just wanting to look "Fly" while walking around the mall.
These are very light weight, lighter than the dress shoes I was riding in previously (none of my motorcycle boots would fit the shifter on my new Suzuki TU250, something I hadn't considered beforehand). Normally, I switch out of my motorcycle boots when I get to work, but I kept these on all day. Although, I mostly sit at work, so don't take that to mean they would work for "on your feet all day" type of job.
The only problem I have with them is that I can't easily flex my foot downward. No, I'm not trying to dance ballet in these. I mean when I go to shift, I have to flex my foot down to get my toes under the shifter, but these don't easily do that because of the high tops at the ankle. I maybe should have gone with the Bates Taser because they look like that would be easier to do with those.
Anyway, these Fly shoes fit perfectly and feel great wearing them around the office.

Great "minimal protection" shoe!!
I especally like this style to commute in vs a full on boot. Footbed and sole remind me of beefier converse shoes, not much ankle protection, but sure beats the implications of riding with an athletic shoe! Size runs a bit on the narrow side, so if you are like me and wear a size 13, take caution!! I didn't think my feet would even fit in until I loosened the laces and slipped them in a couple of times.

So far, so good
I've only had these shoes for a couple months, but have been wearing them every time I ride. Definitely not a long term review, but long enough where I am satisfied with my purchase. I bought this shoe because I was looking for a shoe that provided more protection than the standard running or skateboarding shoe. These shoes seem solid and you can definitely feel the added reinforcements due the stiffness of the heel and other portions. These are my first riding shoe/boot that I've worn so I can't compare to other brands, but they are definitely a step up in protection from the every day shoe. I am a size 10.5/11 in most shoes and boots and I went with a size 11. Lengthwise they were spot on, however they felt narrow. I do have wider feet so they felt cramped. I debated for the first 45 minutes of wearing them around my house whether or not I would switch them for a size up. I finally decided to keep them and hope they will break in. After wearing them around the house for a bit and wearing them on a few rides, I am happy to say that they in fact did break in and are very comfortable. They are no DC's, but comfortable enough for a days worth of riding and walking around. So far there has been virtually no wear at all. Granted I've only put about 500 miles so far this year, but I have not seen any signs of wear on the toe patch from shifting and on my RSVR sometimes you have to be aggressive with shifting.

The only negative that I would have to say is that they don't seem to provide as much airflow as I expected. Walking around my feet would get warm and borderline sweaty, but again, it's not to the point where you would want to immediately rip them off of your feet. Maybe I just have really hot feet. On the bike they breathe better, obviously, but they still are a tad on the warm side. Again, not overbearing though. It was actually nice on a couple occasions riding into work in the morning when the temps are in the low 40s. Feet actually stayed quite warm.

I gave "Protection" only 4 stars since I haven't truly tested the protection of the shoe and I hope I won't have to.

Overall I think these are a great buy for the rider like me who likes the comfort of riding in sneakers, but wants added protection. These shoes are affordable, comfortable, and look great without screaming motorcycle boots.

Very good shoes, look like normal shoes except they are reinforced just about everywhere, very comfortable I have worn them all day before and have no problems, very easy to shift with and rubber soles are good for gripping pavement.

Ordered these before and sizing is off. They are smaller than indicated. They seem like a decent city riding shoe for the money.

Recently bought a Suzuki TU250 for riding in the city, and my Icon El Bajo boots which work great on my Harley are too big to easily work the shifter on the Suzuki. I've been using my standard black dress shoes, and I want slightly more protection.

Great alternative to leather boots. Cant beat the price either.

What if you wear a half size? Do you go up in size or do you go down? I wear a 10 1/2.
A shopper on May 31, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I wear size 12 , which is what I ordered. ( what I forgot to do was to talk to the helpful people at RevZilla first )
So when the shoes arrived I found that they were too small and I returned them hassle free for size 13 and they fit fine.
I'm guessing I needed the larger size because of the way that they are made with extra protection. Anyway I am very happy with the purchase, the style and the comfort.
Also extremely pleased with the excellent customer service from RevZilla,
PS I changed the lacings from flat to round , I hope this info was helpful , keep the wind in your face and the shiny side up.
I wear a 10 and 1/2 Nike comfortably. Does anyone know if the size 11 would be a good fit for me from personal experience? Thanks.
A S on Oct 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I wear 10.5 for most of my shoes, like puma and under armor, and I went with 11. They fitold well but are a pain in the assignment to put on and take off. I've had them for a month so maybe they'll break in a little, maybe not.
I wear a 10 and 1/2 Nike comfortably. Does anyone know if 11 would be the best fit for these? Thanks.
A shopper on Oct 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I wear a size 13 for most if not all of my shoes including this. At first it was tight and had blisters when I wore it but after a few rides its becomes a good fit for me
