Firstgear Women's Heated Jacket Liner
The Firstgear Heated Jacket Liner ensures a good fit by integrating stretch panels into the liner's design. The long-sleeve liner envelopes its wearer in warmth by organizing heating elements across the upper and lower back, down the sleeves and around the neck Battling the effects of windchill, the liner concentrates heat in the front of the jacket.

Reviews & Questions
It would be a super product if it was also rainproof - then that's all you would need for under your mesh jacket. As it is, we just use it in place of the thermal liner in our riding jackets. This makes packing for trips that go into high altitudes or a long path up north much easier. No worries when we hit drastic drops in temperature - just turn on the heat and all is great. Also seriously considering getting the heated under-pant to compliment the jacket and extend our riding season even further. Highly recommend this product.

SO comfortable even at near freezing temps. Well worth the money to extend my riding season!

I am looking to purchase the Women's Jacket Liner, Women's Glove Liners and I think the Heat Duel Remote so I can measure the heat output separately from the jacket liner and the glove liners.
Is there anything else that I need? And do you recommend this product? I hear that Gerbing is very good, but I find it pricey.
Thanks for your help.
I have worn a Gerbings jacket for years and purchased the Firstgear's Women's jacket for my wife. The quality is comparable -- both are first rate and make motorbiking considerably more enjoyable. The dual controller makes life a lot easier. With just an on/off switch you end up turning the jacket on until you overheat then off, then on when you start to feel a chill, over and over again.
I do not have experience with the remote controller, but it seems like a level up on the convenience scale. If you are "hard wired" you have to undo wiring to get off the bike, which is easy to forget, and then you stand the chance of dislocating the cable routing.
The Firstgear is nice because it is designed to fit the female form. You want the jacket to be in fairly close contact with your body, and a regular men's jacket would probably have some air pockets. Although it is an investment, the dividends are huge.
Good luck and ride on.
It comes with a cable that will hook directly into your battery. Problem with that is my wife would unplug and plug it back in to maintain temperature. I then bought the Remote Dual Heat Troller so she could adjust the temperature or ever turn it off on the fly without touching the cables. Buy both it's worth it. RevZilla has how-to videos that will walk you through the install.
She loves it!
Hope it helps,
Also, I ride a 2006 Harley Heritage Softail Classic. The engine size is 1450 cc. Right now, I'm only planning on getting the women's heated jacket liner. Not sure if I need heated gloves as the handle grips are heated and get roasty toasty. Down the road, maybe will get the pants liner. Will I have any problems with drainage of the battery? No GPS or radio drainage on the battery.
Also, will I need any type of connection wiring to the battery, or does it come with the jacket liner?
Thanks. Ride Safe!!!
Your standard HD charging system probably is putting out close to 600w / 40amp at cruising RPMs. That means that you can probably get away with 2 pieces of heated gear (jacket + pants or rider + pillion jackets) running full blast before tapping on your battery reserve while riding. If you need more juice HD sells a High Output Charging System.
The connection to your battery has to be thru a controlling unit. You have multiple options for that, but they are sold separately.
Sizing wise, we found the sizing guide is quite accurate. Some liners have spandex panels to better fit. Plan on wearing a underlay garment since having the heating elements in direct contact with the skin can cause some burns.
Heated gear have definitely changed the way we enjoy riding. My wife loves it.
Hope this helps.
