Bought these for the wife.
Unfortunately since there were no reviews, I quickly glanced over and did not notice the Q & A. I had to return the first order, and going by the suggestion on the Q & A, ordered 2 SIZES LARGER for what jeans size my wife usually wears. She said it fits perfectly. So take note. Order 2 sizes larger than your regular jeans size!

These should not be a primary riding pants since the protection seems lacking. The kelvar liners just go over the hips and butt as well as the knee area. But according to the printing on the jeans, there might be kevlar weaving through-out the external area of the jeans although this is not mentioned on various retail websites, so I can't comment on whether or not the jeans truly have kevlar weave built in.

I don't know, I've been using Uglybros 2slubk jeans for the past 6 months and I feel those would offer more protection because the kevlar liners go along the entire back of the leg up to just under the knees and the front above the knee pads. But those jeans are far more expensive than the Dianese jeans. So if you don't mind dropping another hundred and you/your girl has a slender figure (its an asian brand), I'd probably rather go with Uglybros kevlar ladies jeans for a true slim jeans with better kevlar lined protection.

That said, the wife seems to like these jeans, so there you go.

Jury still out...
I have a 27" natural waist and 36" hip and after reading multiple reviews, I ordered the pants in a 30.They sit at the belly button and fit a bit loose, but makes a more comfortable ride(at least that is what I hope). They fit overall, but definitely do not have much of a feminine feel. I'm still considering trying the size down because the looseness in the thigh area... I personally would not consider this a slim cut pant and they are a unique cut overall.

would recommend, if knee pads were adjuststable
maybe this works for young ladies without a belly... I ordered size 31, as I usually wear 29 and reviews said to order 2 sizes up. The fit a bit tight in the waist and they are too long, which wouldn't be the problem, if now the kneepads weren't also too low...

Good quality but not a great fit
The jeans are good quality and well made. The denim is thick and the knee protection sits in the right place on the bike. And the legs are skinny enough to tuck into my boots, which is nice. However, the thick denim and knee pads also mean that they don't look as tight fitting and fashionable as on the model - mine get folds in the material above the knees when I'm walking. If you're getting them for medium-protection pants about town on the bike, they're great. Stylishness off the bike - not so much.

High quality, great protection, but sized ridiculously small
The sizing is way, way off on these jeans.

I'm 5'4" and 112 lb, 32-26-34, slim/straight build, normally a size XS/2 in women's clothes out in the world, and consistently a size 26 in designer jeans. Following the advice on this page, from the other reviewers, and from the Gear Geek I spoke with on the phone, I ordered these jeans in a size 28. They were so small that I couldn't even get them to button, and despite this, they were already almost too big in the rear and the thighs. Going up a size would have made them look baggy all over, so I just returned them.

The video review was confusing to me -- I thought, "How can she be a size 4 but wearing a 32 in these jeans?" But after trying these jeans on, I can see why. A size 4 is normally a size 28 in designer jeans, but these Bellevilles from Dainese run so ridiculously small that the girl modeling them had to size up to a 32.

If I was determined to make these jeans work for me and didn't mind them looking baggy everywhere except the waist, I would order them in a size 30. And I'm normally a 26! So take that into consideration. They would work much better for someone with more of an hourglass or pear-shaped figure who has a tiny waist and a bigger booty.

That said, these jeans do seem to be very high quality. I like the built-in armor, which seemed to sit well despite the sizing being way off. If you can manage to snag a size that fits you, they're a good deal.

Specifically where does the Kevlar Jersey reinforce - in the knees, hips, and seat?
A shopper on Jun 12, 2015
The Kevlar jersey - throughout or just in high-risk areas?
Melissa S on May 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I bought a pair for my wife. Kevlar only in likely impacts areas. They are as attractive an any riding pants you will find.
Hi, would these jeans be more low rise or mid-rise? I have a pretty "full" seat and don't want to flash a crack while I'm riding.
A shopper on Feb 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The waist goes pretty high and that is part of the reason for the need to go with the larger sizing than you normally wear. I have a 27" natural waist and 36" hip and after reading multiple reviews, I ordered the pants in a 30.They sit at the belly button and fit a bit loose, but makes a more comfortable ride. These pants will likely accommodate those with a "full seat" better than those who are lacking in that area. Good luck!
Bought these in a 28 for my girlfriend (who wears size 27-28 jeans) and they're way too small. Would you recommend trying a 29 or a 30?
Chris W on Dec 24, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Just bought these in a 24 and I have always been a 24. They are way too small. I dont think one size up will be enough either. I'm considering going 2 sizes up.
