Just love it:-)
This beauty landed into my hands only yesterday and what can I say....totally impressed - hands down!! This is my first ever Dainese product purchase. Till now I've been an ardent purchaser (you can even call me collector) of REV'IT products. This jacket in Anthony's words:-) is clearly the Pagani Zonda of leather jackets out there in the market. My reasons to pull the trigger on this one despite its prohibitive price tag - I wanted a premium leather jacket which has a clean, vintage, oiled and an understated look with good perforation qualities. Though this one comes with a windproof liner, I seldom see myself using it coz of the tropical climate I live in (Mumbai - India). Contrary to most of the buyers opting for a tobacco brown on this piece I opted for a black one. IMHO the tobacco brown in person looks totally different from the stock pictures displayed by Dainese, but nevertheless, what I'm saying is totally subjective. Coming to sizing - I'm 6ft, 190 pounds, 42 inch chest, 34-35 inch waist (athletic build) and I've purchased a size 52. This fits spot on. Torso is short compared to the other jackets I own. However the feeling ceases to exist once on the bike (upright riding position). Also while riding it would be more appropriate to combine this jacket with a short cuff riding glove (instead of a full gauntlet), more from a fitment and comfort standpoint. With the liners and back protector in, I'm sure it'll be more than snug for me to fit in. Airflow is good and this piece is also one helluva head turner!! My only gripe with this jacket given its price tag....this one should have come stock with a back and also a chest protector to make it fully bomb proof. Should you own one? The answer is a clear 'YES'. I'll post another review for the same piece after a few months of ownership

Good fit and protection but could have better quality snaps
I'm 71" and fluctuate around 175-182lbs, and the 52 tobacco is pretty much a spot on fit for me. The quality looks good for the most part, and I suspect the leather will offer good abrasion resistance. However, I had a snap on the lower left adjustment side belt fail and break off within the first 2 days of wearing. Disappointing, but oh well.

The removable thermal liner is nice, and I've been using it during the morning commute in the Austin winter which has only been down in the 40s this year. So far, I've only had the jacket on in low 80's, but haven't got hot with it on. The perforation offers good air flow.

Styling wise, I feel comfortable walking through the office door with it in the morning and feel comfortable wearing in a more casual bar. It's definitely not as versatile as a one color leather jacket, but it is more versatile than a storm trooper suit while offer good abrasion resistance and impact with the shoulder and elbow/arm armor along the optional back insert which I use and have minimal turtle appearance with.

Great look, really short torso
Love everything about this jacket, I got a 52. Arms are almost too big, not length-wise but girth, the fit over the stomach and chest is spot on, but the jacket itself barely goes down past my belt. Not sure if I just have a really strangely shaped body, and I've admittedly never bought a Dainese before, but I've had 2 REV'IT! jackets and neither has these strange sizing issues

Dainese Stripes Evo C2 Perforated Tobacco
The jacket arrived 2 days after being shipped from Revzilla. It had a 2 week lead time which was accurate. I ordered the size 50 as I have 2 other Dainese jackets one leather and the other textile in size 48 which are a little snug. For reference I am 5'10" 155 lbs with 23" arms and a 31" waist. The fit was perfect but this jacket is not as fitted as my other Dainese leather jacket which was what I wanted. I wanted a jacket that was a little looser for wearing off the bike as a casual but stylish jacket and this fits that bill. The arms are not too long as you would normally find on a hardcore sport style jacket to compensate for the reach to the bars, but they are long enough to fall right at the wrist where they should.

I have not ridden with the jacket so I can't comment on the airflow but the armor is not as obtrusive as in my other Dainese jacket.( Sorry not sure what model and there is no label inside that states what is. Jacket is 4 or so years old) it also does not feel stiff which goes with its character.

The color is darker than what is pictured on the Revzilla website. I would say 1-1.5 shades darker but still looks great. Also just a minor point but it does not smell as sweet(Dainese or good quality leather scent) as my other Dainese leather jacket, maybe because it has suede inserts all over the jacket. But the smell will fade anyway so who cares.

This jacket in Tobacco color will set you apart from most motorcyclist just because it is not black. Exclusivity is not cheap and neither is this jacket. Looking forward to lots of years of wearing this thing and adding my own patina to it.

What the difference between this new C2 version and the original Stripes Evo (http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/dainese-stripes-evo-perforated-leather-jacket)?
