Great jacket for all weather
In the review video, Anthony said he'd give Dainese a gold star for this jacket, and I'd agree. I've had this jacket for about 2 months, and have been very impressed with it. Riding in conditions ranging from low 40s and cloudy/windy to 70s and sunny, I can easily add or subtract liners or open/close vents to stay comfortable. The Gore-Tex liner has been thoroughly tested in the rain, and I stayed completely dry. Paired with a set of Street Tracker pants, I'm good to go no matter what the conditions are.

The front vents are very easy to work with while riding. The waterproof front pockets are a little fiddly when zipping and snapping them closed, but you get used to them. The Napoleon pocket is huge, very handy for paperwork. I just wish it was waterproof as well, but I keep a dry bag in there just in case.

I've run into a few details I wish were a bit different, but the jacket has been very good overall. The cuffs are large due to the zipper closure and adjustment snap/tab. My gloves fit over the cuffs, but barely. It would be nice if they were a bit slimmed down. I'm also not a fan of the snap adjusters on the arms, I'd be concerned that they could pop off in a crash and allow the forearm protector to get out of position. Something like the Rev'IT Sand 2's adjustment strap would be sturdier I think. Lastly, the rabbit pouch should be a bit bigger and include a zipper. The WP liner barely fits, and I'm just paranoid that the liner could start to come out while on the road since the pouch doesn't close cleanly with the liner stuffed in.

The Good
- great for all weather I've seen thus far
- plenty of pockets
- fit and finish is excellent, sizing is spot on and you can easily adjust to make it fit correctly no matter what liner combo you have in
- very comfortable
- it's a good looking jacket

The Bad
- Arm snaps don't seem sturdy enough to depend on keeping forearm protectors in place in a crash (no plans to test this)
- Rabbit pouch should have a zipper or be a bit bigger to accommodate liner better

Overall, great jacket and I'd recommend it if you're looking for a touring jacket for a huge range of weather conditions.

Amazing Jacket
This year I was looking to upgrade my touring jacket. I was considering about 4 other jackets such as the D-Stormer, and the Explorer jacket. I am so glad I purchased this jacket. The destination thermal liner is extremely comfortable and stylish to wear without the jacket.

Immediately after purchasing, I went for a 10 day - 3,500 mile trip from SoCal to Canada. I was extremely comfortable from rainy days at 40 degrees to California desert temps of 105.

Layers are extremely easy to take on and off and wear in any combination. I now wear this jacket for daily commuting.

I have ridden about 1,000 miles in the rain with this jacket and have never felt a drop. Amazingly low price for such a great Gore-Tex jacket.

Styling is great. Reflective is okay (I wish there was a little more for rain riding).

The collar around the neck of the actual jacket is very comfortable and made of a soft corduroy material. If the liner is in, the collar of the gore-tex is a little uncomfortable after 6-8 hours of wearing it, but I wore a neckerchief to curb this.

Overall I am incredibly happy with this jacket. I wish I had purchased it the day it was available.

Great jacket!
I just upgraded the jacket with the Dainese built in backprotector. Nice fit and finish. I love the "useless" zippers on the front pockets. They give me quick accsess to home and bike keys. My only complaint about this jacket are in the same time the benefit of it. Its a lot of zippers, buttons and layers. It happen more than once that i tried to pull my jacket with the softshell still in place. It´s one more layer that I am used to. Otherwise this is a great jacket. I had bougt it again.

Excellent jacket on paper, but multiple design flaws
I like the styling of the jacket. Can be a good touring jacket, but let me explain the flaws, to help you decide:
1. The velcros are not good. The front vents never remain open because the velcro does not hold them in open position. I corrected this by sewing magnets to the velcros.
2. The supposedly "bread and butter" pockets are not easy to use. I never use them.
3. The idea of goretex line inside the jacket is bad, bad, bad. The worst feeling is riding with a thick, heavy, soaked, outer shell over a thin goretex liner. That is a mistake on my side, and will not happen again. BMW GS dry or BMW Tourshell are excellent on this front.
4. The neck is too wide in my opinion, and the when you take the jacket off, the velcro on the neck sticks to the material on the shoulder (actually holds to that stronger than the velro that is supposed to hold the vents open). This eventually tuins the fabric on the shoulder as it has on mine. The fabric on the shoulder is totally ruined.
5. The velcro adjustment on the neck is not well-designed.
6. The cinches are not long enough for my taste. The jacket feels loose during the summer.
7. Could be more reflective.
8. The liner, when worn as destination jacket, DOES NOT BREATHE. That helps with warmth in winter, but makes it an unworthy destination jacket.
9. The vents are small (even when you somehow manage to make them remain open)

With all the flaws (and mind you, I have not had a single jacket with no flaws), I still like the jacket and wear it on daily basis. The fabric is not as durable as BMW jackets, but is good enough for its price range.

I just wonder why don't these designers wear their designed jackets for a couple of months before mass production? All of the flaws will show up after a month of riding. If we didn't insist on getting new designs every year, maybe the companies could have time to design better jackets...

By the way, I am 6'0, 170lb, and have size 52. If I could choose again, I would go for size 50 this time.

Excellent Jacket
I've been commuting in mid 30 degree weather and this thing keeps me plenty warm. I suspect it will also be great for Summer riding with the liners out and vents open.

Looks great, extremely comfortable, lots of great features. Perfect for sport touring or commuting. (I ride a Multistrada).

Excellent all round jacket
Once again Dainese has come up with an excellent motorcycle jacket.
I needed something that would be warm enough for the colder weather and yet be usable in all seasons. This jacket fits the bill perfectly.
With multiple removeable liners I use this jacket not just for motorcycling but also for skiing. The protection provided is very good indeed. However, if you have never had a Dainese before it's fair to say that it really should come with a back protector straight out of the box. I have used Dainese for ages now so it was not a problem for me as I already had the back protector.
The only real criticism I have is that I would have liked to have a couple of internal pockets. Other than that this jacket is great value for money and a solid all rounder.

Love the Dainese brand, style, and cut of their jackets/pants.
Price point was good.
Liked the idea that the thermal liner could be worn separately, which means I can pack lighter for my regular overnight bike trips.

Is this a good jacket to use on over 80F days??
LUIS M on Nov 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have had this jacket for about a year now, and temperatures ranging from 40° all the way to over 100°. I feel like the jacket does well in most temperature ranges and generally never use the liner. The venting works Well but no matter what when you're up in the high temperatures you're still going to be hot
