Reviews & Questions
If you already bought the pants, and want hip protection, just get these because you have no other option. OKAY. I lied, you can pay $20 for the Rev'It option, and then cut them to the Dianese shape.
Anyway, I bought them and they fit inside my Dianese riding Jeans. They are thin and don't get in the way of riding. So I guess it's quite comfortable since I don't notice them. No one cares about air flow in the hips anyway. So I gave it full marks there.
I havent crashed in these yet - but I marked it down some because of how little area it covers.
Snug (like a glove) fit inside Dainese D1 Pred EVO designated hip protector pockets.
Helps hold pants on the hips slightly better, keeping knee protection in place.
Wish there was a beefier (thicker) option, but as-is, these are still great.
I am considering buying a pair of protective boxers or something instead to give me a little more protection. Also, the jeans have a very short inseam, so I am not even sure if these are covering my hips.

Overall I think they are awesome and exactly what I was looking for. I will be getting the matching knee protection as well so I do not have the bulky knee protection that came with the pants.

These pads are cut in such a way that you immediately know which pad goes on what side, making it pretty much foolproof. The pads are also very flexible so they are very comfortable to wear.
At this price, it makes little sense not getting them.
My only reservation is they seem so light/flimsy that one wonders about their true protective value in a slide or fall. However they have the safety rating and are Dainese so one has to rely on that as a confirmation of their utility.

How do I want to position the armor when wearing to ensure max protection?
Hexagonal pattern facing me or smooth side facing me?
Thanks in advance.
