Exactly what I was looking for
Wanting to up my level of protection, I was looking for a leather pant that I could wear for everyday riding situations. I went with the Pony C2 because it delivers a quality, armored pant that happens to look pretty cool when paired with my Dainese SF leather jacket. I now feel naked when I wear my Kevlar jeans that I typically wear for short, convenient trips.

The fit was tight initially, but the pants stretched slightly with one or two uses and are now perfect. I followed the fit chart and measured at my true waist--ordering a size 48. Just for some context, I am 5'7", 155#, and typically wear a size 29 or 30 pant.

So far, the temperatures have been relatively cool in these parts, and I have only worn the non-perforated C2's in temperatures ranging from the low 40's to upper 60's. The pants have been perfect in these temperatures thus far, and I suspect I would have been a bit chilly in the perforated version.

Typical High-Quality Dainese Product
After reading the customer reviews for the perforated and full leather Dainese Pony C2s about how small they run, I ordered a size up from the size chart that I've always trusted. It was a mistake. I am 5' 9 1/2" and weigh 160 and the chart says size 50, but I ordered the 52s. I ordered the Pony C2 non-perforated leather 50s after receiving the 52s, and the correct size is indeed snug at first, but after a few hours they fit as they should as some other reviews have indicated. Thanks to Revzilla's return policy, returning the size 52 was hassle free. The pants make a nice match for the Dainese D1 Racing jacket, and they work well either in or out of my Alpinestars SMX3 boots. Zipped together, they will make a warm and protective rig for riding in the colder months here in Colorado. Designed in Italy and manufactured in Ukraine, beautifully sewn using quality materials, they are perfect for those who want the protection of leather, but have no need of knee pucks.

4yrs and 50,000 miles says they are good
Had mine now for 4yrs and 50,000 miles. Everything still working fine. Not crashed in them but I did in my last pair of similar Dianese (twice) so I know they can handle punishment. The best thing is the comfort. The worst thing is my version aren't perforated in 100F/40c temps in Australia you sweat...but 30c below it's fine. (You can air them out and they've never got smelly - impressive!) Because it gets hot here I started shopping round but textiles and kevlar jeans ruck around the knees so now Dainese have a perforated version of Pony Pants I might buy those next summer.

excellent pants
I've put about 5000 miles on these pants and am happy with them. On extended rides through a variety of temperatures, 40s - 90s, they've kept me comfortable. The quality is what you'd expect from Dainese; which is very good. I've hiked and have ridden in rain, sleet, and hot temps and they still look new.

Happy so far
I have worn these for two rides so far, about 4 hours total. The first ride they were very stiff. hurt my hips a little. The second ride they are starting to break in and were more comfortable. The leather is very thick and seems to afford good protection, which is why the pants are taking some time to break in.

Fit- I am 5'11", 185, with a 32 inch waist and a relatively large butt, and muscular quads. the 52 fits fine, a bit tight around the butt and thighs though. I assume it will break in over time. Make sure to follow the measurements correctly, and don't order a size where you may be large for. These things fit tight and it's better to go a size large than a size small.

Protection- Thick leather. Knee and shin guards. Very well make and should protect well.

Gripes- The one pocket stitching was wrong form the factory, rendering the pocket useless. I had to sew it back together. Not something I expected to have to do with a Dianese product, but whatever. Also, the inner knees are already rubbing where I grip the tank, and they are starting to show wear in the leather in that region. Will upload pictures eventually.

Big $ for protection and style
The sizing chart was spot on for me. 6'1" wearing 34x32 stright cut jeans, have size 52 eu. I have athletic (read thick) legs, especially calves, but if you want a more fitted pant they're great (my gf keeps complimenting my butt lol). The only downside of fit is that they are slightly short if you don't wear tall boots. Leather is thick and heavy, but it would have been nice to see ce2 armor considering the price. That being said, the whole garment is ce so the seams and zippers are more resistant to bursting. I have the non perf version, but the stretch material flows some air. Helps keep your crotch and backs of your knees cool. The knee armor and hip armor stay well placed standing and seated. The pockets are tight, especially with gloves, but my jacket has pockets so it doesn't bother me. Overall the pants fit well, offer good protection, and look great for sport or cruiser riding.

Very good
I'm 5.6, 134lb. Inseam 28-29.

The chart says I should go with 44, which was too tight and took quite an effort to put on. 46 was snug. Surprisingly, I had no problem with the length. They seem to run a bit short side as they are supposed to be worn with a long boots?

Probably due to my short legs, I've never had good experiences with textile pants. They are too long when walking or too short when I'm in a riding position. The locations of the knee armors are never in the right place as they slide up and down depending on the positions; I never trusted them. The only exception was Rukka, which has huge knee protectors, which always cover my knees.

With this Pony pants, I first understood what the "good" riding pants are. First, they have tight fits over the shins and the knee-shin protectors always stay there. The stretch panels above your knee accommodate all the positions (on and off the bike), while the tight waist fit make sure that the hip protectors stay where they should be. Once I experience this, I can't go back to textile anymore. Actually it doesn't make sense that the protectors can move around. Just like my one-piece racing jacket, protectors have tight (but not uncomfortable) fit all the time.

The quality is superb. With Dainese jackets, it can be attached by the zip, which is a must for a supersport. This is one of the best purchases!

Really small fit
For starters, I'm a girl. I ordered the women's pants and returned them - even with the size chart, they were way too small. I ended up buying the guys' pants and they fit me well. They're gorgeous pants, really comfortable, with good protection. The biggest issue is just getting the right size. Go a minimum of two sizes up.

nice quality, and they are very comfortable in almost any weather in Nevada. Nice looking too

US pants always fit too large, these pants (in the 46 size) fit perfectly for me (6' tall, 29in waist). Very comfortable and good looking, seem to be very protective too.

Revzilla is a one stop shop for almost everything I need for my bike. Prices are comparable to other sites. Shipping is free even to military FPO/APO addresses. They will make attempts to price match items if you find them cheaper at other sites. Returns are relatively easy. No restocking fees. There are many videos available for product overviews. Friendly customer service. Great advice from knowledgable staff. They give you honest and practical "advice" based on the type of riding you do and don't just try to sell you on the most expensive stuff. They don't work on commission so there's no reason for them to do that anyway.

which boots do you use with these pants?
A shopper on Mar 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for you answer. I'm just asking it because I bought these pants to go with my dainese vintage jacket and I was wondering if they could fit/look ok with Stylmartin Cruise Boots. What do you guys think? thanks again.
I have a black stripes evo jacket, will the pony C2 pants be good looking with a vintage jacket? Thanks for your advice and feedback!
A C on Feb 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The that is a cool jacket! The pony pants have very indiscrete sewn in Dianese logo and knee armour is well blended when on the bike. Stretch panels maybe a bit modern but again you don't see these on the bike and the comfort is a massive plus.
Is the of these wide enough to fit over my TCX S-Race Boot?
Guest on May 8, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Probably not, I have a pair of Dainese "in" race boots and it is a pretty tight fit.
I wear a size 33x32 jeans. I do have larger thighs, what size would I order in these pants? It seems most of Dainese run a little small.
raymond c on Apr 22, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I would say these don't run small and the stretch panels allow for easy stretch without break-in.
Do these come in short sizes?
