A stylish, well-fitting women's boot
As someone who rides on both longer day trips and commutes to the corporate office, I was looking for a boot that combined protection, style and comfort in a cross-seasonal boot. I am very happy with the Dainese Parana. The boot fits well (although I have a fairly 'standard' foot, bought a size 40 = size 7.5 US - may be a little snug across the arch if you have a wider foot), and comes up to just below the knee in the advertized equestrian-style. The styling is very appropriate for office / casual wear out, and the non-slip sole looks smooth but is surprisingly grippy. I would personally prefer a stiffer toe, but the way the boot is constructed works just fine for shifting. The waterproofing was not uncomfortable and quite breathable on a 90+ F day. Overall, a great go-to boot that I will be wearing non-stop on and off the bike.

Decent boot but pricey
Purchased these for my fiance so we could ride together and she would be better protected. It seems unnecessarily difficult to balance style and function in women's riding gear. We wanted something water proof and with good protection without looking like a space invader so she could wear them off the bike once we get to a destination (coffee, lunch etc.).

We tried two other brands/styles and had to send both back because neither fit correctly. One offered better protection but was too tight around her arch and the other was on par with these but was too tight around the calf. Surprising because she is pretty petite (5'3") with an athletic build.

Finally went with these and she is very happy with them. Fit great out of the box and she has said they are the most comfortable boots she owns. We've only been on a couple of rides so far and no rain so we haven't tested the waterproof claim but she is happy with them. They look great and with jeans you really don't notice they are riding boots. Wish they had some built in shin protection but this was the best compromise of style and function we could find.

As always Revzilla was great about shipping and exchanging our order so we could end up with a product we are truly happy with!

Gorgeous protection
These are the best-looking, protective boots out there. My foot is pretty average in shape and size. I usually wear a size 8.5, sometimes an 8, so I ordered a 39. The boots are comfortably snug, with room for a thin pair of socks. If you have a wide foot or high instep, or want to wear thicker socks, definitely go up a size.

These boots look great with skinny jeans tucked in (and protective overpants while riding). I can comfortably wear them all day, both on and off the bike. After hundreds of miles, there is no visible wear or shifting marks. I haven't had the opportunity to try the waterproof factor yet, but the boots are comfortably warm in temps as low as the 40s and as high as the 80s. Traction is very good, too.

I highly recommend these for protection, comfort, and great appearance!

Boots!
i'm not sure these are worth what i spent to be honest. They are a great style, the leather is very luxe, but besides being high quality leather there doesn't seem to be anything setting them apart from any other pair of leather boots. They scuff super easy, they even came scuffed up. If that would bother you i'd avoid. they do look great though

Is there a metal shank in the sole? Reinforced toe for shifting?

How tall are these boots? How far do they come up on the leg? I'm looking for ladies riding boots that come up close to the knee.
A shopper on Feb 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: These come up close to the knee, similar to fashion "knee-high" style boots.
The size chart only lists conversion for US men's sizes. What are the conversions for women's sizes? Is there reinforcement in the shifter area?

How wide is the widest part of the boot, across in cm or inches? I have a wide foot, EU 38. Thanks!
A shopper on Sep 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The widest part is 3 3/4 inches across the bottom of the boot and 10 1/2 inches around the bottom of the boot. I use 7.5 US wide shoes and bought size 39.
