Saved my ...
Went down with these on the street and just burnt a little hole on the side of my hip where I landed. Small raspberry, jeans underneath were fine. They zip on perfectly to my Dainese jacket. I wouldn't mind some hip padding but they are really meant for general street and not racing. Wear them over my jeans/khakis every day I commute and no problems.

Athletic build, 6' 170 lb daily runner and I have a good couple inches extra in the waist even over jeans. mesh sided will be nice in the summer.

Lightweight Overpants for Commuting
As far as I know this and the D-Dry version are Dianese's first true pair of overpants. It came with a "Dianese City" tag which suggests that they were intended for commuting/urban riding. As such the material is noticeably thinner than sportier pants like the Super Air Tex. The mesh is also not as robust (if mesh can truly be referred to as so) as their other products. Like most Dainese products, they are an athletic cut. I chose a size 46 (5'7" with a 31" inseam) which is the same size as my other Dainese pants and they fit snugly over plain front chino/khaki pants. Order one size larger if you think you'll have trouble. The waist sits low allowing the pants to button closed when you're wearing a belt. The legs unzip almost all the way up to your crotch, which makes them easy to get on and off. They will definitely fit over a sporty boot like the TR-Course Out. This probably won't do well as a touring pant.

Almost a Great Pant!
Been riding with these now for close to a month. They flow air very well and are perfect for 3 season riding. Extremely easy to get on and off and very pleased with the fit and feel. I was wearing these as I walked passed my truck and I slammed my shin on my trailer hitch the hardest Ive ever slammed it before and barely felt a thing. Was very thankful for that. They look great and are semi close to being worth the price... kind of.

Ok, here are some thing I see with this overpant that needs improvement desperately. First and foremost, This pant needs kevlar in the hip, butt and groin area. There is no protection in these areas. The outer material seems like a one and done slide but with the thinness of it Im not 100% that it wont burn through and tear you a new one. Confidence is at 50% with it. Which leads me to my second thing. This pant needs an outer material that is more durable in the knee, butt, groin and hip. Lets face it, most of the people who wear this pant are daily commuters and if someone cuts over and hits you because they havent fully woken up from their morning coffee, your going down and its going to be a slide.Hip protection!!! Would be nice to see some of that. Zippers are fine but would be nice to have the more beefy YKK ones. Front button could use improvement but would rather see the other things first. And most of this can be added for a minimal price hike and still kept as a 3 season overpant.

Great over pants for LA weather
As always with Dainese- great fit and finish. Excellent airflow. Very comfortable.
I'm not that aggressive at my age, and I feel like the protection they offer is more than adequate. The best thing about these is how easy they are to put on and take off- practically like putting on chaps.
Depending on my ride, I will even throw them on over my cargo shorts.

Great overpants for warm weather
Very nice overpants. Very easy to put on thanks to the long zippers. It has a nice slim cut. I wish they came in short sizes for a better fit.

Just what I was looking for!
These are exactly the type of pants I was looking for. I commute to work and go to the gym on my way home. These pants fit right over my jeans or khaki's and I even feel well protected wearing them over my gym clothes on my way home. The ventilation is really great and the material is top notch. The zipper goes all the way up the pants and makes these pants very easy to get in and out of. These are true to size from the chart provided by Revzilla. I wear about a 34 pants size and the size 50 fits me perfect. Also the pants have an adjustable waist which helps when I go from thick jeans to thin khakis. These could also fit inside or over boots with the velcro strap around the ankles. Overall these are a very versatile pair of pants.

The only complaint that I have is the knee pads sit a bit low off of the bike, they fit great on the bike though. I am on the below average male height at 5'7" so I don't blame this on the pants themselves. But maybe having a short pant option could help the shorter riders.

I would definitely recommend these pants if you are looking for that extra protection to and from work. Also they will keep your work pants clean from any dirt or debris on the ride to work.

Great communter pants
I'm 5'11" 190 pounds and normally wear 35x30 slacks. The size 52 fit nicely. They are a teensie bit snug when worn over my slacks but I guess they should be or it would defeat the purpose of protection and having the wind flap things around.

The quality is nice and they flow air nicely, especially up the leg when I'm wearing a shorter boot. The zipper and button have a nice action to them and I have no worries about seams coming apart, everything seems nice and tight. The zipper in the back works with my BMW summer pants as well as my leather.

My tag says they were manufactured in Armenia, which is close enough to Italy for my satisfaction. At $200 I wouldn't say this was a bargain, like a TourMaster would be, but I'm always happy to pay a bit more to support manufacturing in the western hemisphere.

Over Pants for Work
I wear business casual attire to work, khakis or chinos with a button up shirt or a polo and I wanted some added protection on my 25min commute in San Diego traffic. I wear a 34" regular or a 36" slim pant and I ordered the 52 per the size recommendation.

The pants are light and fit very well over my work clothes. The leg zipper goes all the way to the thigh and makes it easy to slip a leg through without bunching up my work pant leg in the process. The Over Flux pants have their own stand-alone pockets that make it nice when I've got sweatpants underneath like going to the gym from work, but just make sure you have your essentials out of the regular pants or you'll be unbuttoning your pants and pulling down the zipper at the cash register when you're grabbing your wallet trying to buy that Red Bull.

If you notice in the photo from the rear, there is a section of mesh that starts from the side on the hip and winds around to the back of the thigh to just above the back of the knee. This area is straight, see-through mesh. I had concerns about its ability to protect the leg, but I've read here and other sites of reviews citing its ability to stay together in a crash. The front is well done and the installed knee/shin guards, while low on the leg when walking into Starbucks before work, fit perfectly once on my FZ-09. The waist has 2 velcro hip adjusters with thankfully enough velcro to keep them useful should anyone decide to lose the Dad bod, and the velcro across the back of the achilles keep the already fitted cut of the pant even more so.

These things look nice with a perfect cut, feel great with the padding and the material, and are cool enough to keep things comfortable in So Cal in August. The mesh is a slight concern, but otherwise this is a great pant for what I do with it. Canyons, no... I'd rather wear my Oakland jeans or something with some Kevlar in them, but to get me from A to B and back, these are the ticket

Dainese Over Flux Pants
These are great, and surprisingly comfortable over pants. I am 5' 10", 205lbs, size 38x32 regular pants, and ordered a size 54 and it fits perfectly. These are incredibly easy to get into due to the zipper system running 3/4 of the length of the pants. I like that it comes with knee protection, and the pockets are adjustable up and down with a sturdy velcro system.

I (fortunately) have not had to test these out in a crash situation, and I imagine they will likely one-and-done due to the mesh, but I these will be much better than riding without. The air flow is wonderful for my hot Oklahoma rides as well.

I'm very satisfied with these over pants and would definitely recommend them.

Summer must!!
These pants keep me cool with a pair of gym shorts underneath in southern humidity with the protection to make my daily commute.

High waisted zippers allow dressing with boots on with ease.

Would definitely buy again for hot summer riders looking to cool off.

6' 215lbs athletic build 35x32 normal pant size and ordered these in size 52 and they fit perfect.

Revzilla, with this color being "black" but the picture shows a mix of black and blue. Will there be blue and the black?
William P on May 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The pant is only offered in black. The photo appears to have a bluish hue to it, or it was altered that way to better differentiate the mesh panels from the solid panels.
How do you size these? Should you measure over the pants you are wearing?
A shopper on Jun 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: You shouldn't have to size up. I'm normally a size 30 waist in a Levi's 511 and the size 48 fits me perfectly.
Do these feature similar knee protection as found in the Super Air Tex, that extend over the shin?
Victor P on Jul 24, 2016
This definitely needs a review. I have still not encountered a good summer commuting overpants. Both Revit and Alpinestars aren't all that effective.

Please help us understand how the venting on these makes for what I hope to be a superior pants with better airflow?
Paul V on May 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Mesh covers the entire side and vents really well. They may be just a tad warm in the knees, under the armor, on the really hot days.

At some point you do have to sit back and accept the fact you are wearing pants. I would recommend.
Does it have hip armor and if so is it replaceable?
Keith M on Jul 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: They do not. They only have armor in the knees that's replaceable.
Do these pants sit at the waist or more below the waist like most Levi's?
Fabian C on Jun 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: They sit more at the waist. When I wear these over my Levi's they ride above my belt line but not uncomfortably high.
Do these pants connect with the Air Frame Tex Textile Jacket?
Jamie H on Apr 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: If the Air Frame Tex Jacket comes with the 360 zip it should work fine, i zip it with my Dainese Racing D1 leather, and Raptor Textile Jackets.
