Worthy Competitor to Other Casual Style Boots
I was waiting for the TCX Urban boot to come back into stock and debated getting the Rev'It Rodeo boot as casual alternatives to the Dainese Torque RS-In and Sidi ST that I own. I chose the Germain because the TCX never came back into stock and the Rev'It seemed less refined of an option. For comparison, I also have a pair of TCX X-Wrap shoes which are a more casual boot than this boot. Safety-wise, I can only comment on how these Germain feel while wearing: Sidi ST >> Dainese Torque RS-In >>> TCX X-Wrap > Dainese Germain. These boots offer scant abrasion coverage, nominal impact protection, and almost no twist/torsional protection (which is the most worrisome aspect of a foot injury). That seems like the trade-off that casually-dressed riders willingly accept when they consider any casual line of moto boots. Similar to the TCX X-Wrap, I feel that these are the minimal amount of protection for a rider who rides at city speeds (less than 40-45mph). If I ride at freeway speeds here in the SF Bay Area, I would choose the Dainese Torque RS over these every time. I only wear these when I'm riding to work (5 miles away from my house, all local streets with a 35mph speed limit) or if I'm riding to a restaurant to meet someone. All in all, these boots are a decent alternative to the more garish technical/commuting footwear options that are prevalent in the moto world. In fact, Dainese should've made this more distinctive by offering a streamlined/low profile design.

Oh, fitment wise, I wear US10 (Nike), UK9 (for most of the frou-frou high fashion dress shoes), and EU43 (for most brands of cycling & moto shoes I have)....and the Dainese Germain in size EU43 is consistent with my previous purchases from Dainese/Sidi/TCX, so no surprises here. I have regular width feet and these do not feel wide at all.

feel as good as they look!
just put these babies on they fit like slippers! size chart is dead on. needed something a little more dressy than red wing worx chelsea boots. zipper provides much more ankle support than a regular elastic chelsea. forgot they have gortex and they look better in person too. what's the opposite of buyer's remorse cause that's what i'm feeling! also picked up some dainese blackjack gloves and mike jacket on eBay so i think i'm officially addicted to their gear.

Great product that allows me to walk right into the office
Fit:
I wear a size 10-10.5 in most brands of athletic shoes and 9-9.5 in dress shoes. I ordered the size 43 and the width felt good but after walking around the house for a bit, my foot was moving around a bit too much with thin dress socks on. I decided to exchange them for size 42 and the length is good but they are a hair narrow. I've put some conditioner on them and store with them wooden dress shoe stretchers. Between that and walking around in them to break them in, the size is just about right. They are quite comfortable and have kept my feet from getting cold on 40 degree F commutes.

Style:
These look like great dress boots and I wear them to work with dress pants. I put two layers of shrink tubing on my shift peg so it would not scratch to top of my left boot and the boots also have a laser etched section to hide any marks on that area. Honestly, the greatest part about these boots is that I no longer have to bring another pair of shoes with me which makes it that much easier for me to decide to ride to work. My pack is already stuffed with a laptop, paper pad, charging cables, gym stuff (weight belt, gloves, bottle, headphones, clothes, shoes), coffee mug, protein shake, and an extra visor (clear riding to gym in the dark, tinted for afternoon ride home. Adding work shoes to the mix puts my pack over the edge.

Design:
The comfort is great once broken in. The zipper cuff dug in a little at first but that cleared right up within a few days of wearing them. As others have noted, the toe caps are a little softer than I'd like so Dainese could improve this by making the toe a little stiffer. My only other complaint is that my pants get hung up on the rear pull tab when I go from sitting to standing so I almost always have to pull my pant legs down when I stand up. I may end up removing those pull tabs to alleviate this.

In summary, I love the looks and comfort of these boots and the ability they offer me in commuting to work without extra footwear.

I don't even wear my regular dress shoes anymore
These boots are perfect for people who work in a professional setting (or any place that requires dress shoes for that matter). In the months that I've had them, I think I may have one only one person ask if they were motorcycle boots.

The break in period for these boots took a little bit of time, but now they're super comfy. The Dianese leather really is some good stuff. As for the protection that these boots offer, just as Anthony explains, is alright. You definitely get more armor from other boots, but the whole point of this product is to be more inconspicuous, so there's that.

The Gore-tex is great man, really. I think I won't settle for anything less anymore. It does wonders at getting rid of that moisture. Let me tell you, I have some sweaty *** feet. I have to replace the soles of most of my dress shoes about once a month just because they start to have an odor. I've had these boots for about 5 months now and have not even come close to having that issue.

These boots are the best dress shoes I've ever owned, despite a motorcycle boot. Thinking about getting a second pair already.

Very stylish and comfortable.
I bought this boot so that I could wear it to work and it met my expectations. It looks like a regular shoe. My only criticism is the lack of toe protection, there is none. I wear a U.S. size 8.5 and the 41 left a litle extra space in front of my toes. I think the 40 may have fit better but I kept the 41 because it still wore well.

Great office boot
I needed a boot to ride to work all weather commute and not carry work shoes in the bag taking up a whole lot of space. These boots are the perfect compromise. Easy on/off with the side zip, feel good on and look the part in the office. All I need now is a small bag for work clothes and some lunch. Sizing was true I just ordered my standard 46 and it worked out perfectly. What else can I say, not the cheapest but a nice all rounder. Happy customer again, thanks Revzilla

Love the styling. I have been asked if they are really riding boots?
I always look for outer ware that fits both durability and looks good too. This boot did not disappoint. I know a couple of guys that will be looking into getting a pair for themselves. They are spendy, but after putting over 700 miles on my bike while wearing them, I could not be happier. The rubber soles are very sure footed even in gravel. :-)

Smart boot for the office commute
I was looking for a smart boot for all day wear in winter after my commute to the office, these boots fit the bill exactly. They are very waterproof, warm and grip very well on slippery road surfaces. Well worth the money and I will look to get another pair when these start to wear.

Best Footwear I've Owned
I started riding to work every day and was looking for something I could also wear in the office. These boots have worked out great. I actually look forward to putting them on.
They were a little stiff for about a week but have become very comfortable and easy to get on and off.
They've kept my feet dry in pouring rain and still look good. They don't seem to scuff up much.
If they came in brown, I'd have two pair. I'd definitely recommend these boots.

Awesome boots, fit for the office.
I ride to work and I like to keep my life simple so I don’t like switching shoes. I’m a senior manager at my office, which isn’t super formal but we need to have on decent business casual attire. I can wear these with slacks and a button up shirt and I think I look pretty damn good if I don’t say so myself. Not going to work with a suit but with khakis or slacks, these look pretty sharp. The little holes on inside part of the toes are not that noticeable.

As far as fit goes, I think they’re a bit on the small and narrow side. I usually wear 8 in dress shoes and 9 in sneakers, and the 41 is just about right but a bit snug with thicker socks. They might stretch a little more over time but I can wear them all day and my feet are fine.

They are very well constructed and provide decent protection. I was wearing Blundstone boots before and these are definitely a huge upgrade both in protection and looks (a little dressier than Blundstones). I’ve ridden in minor rain showers and my feet stayed completely dry.

Overall these are excellent boots that look and perform well both on and off the bike

I like the idea of not being too "moto" when I get off the bike after commuting. With these boots and some black kevlar chinos I expect to just take off helmet jacket and gloves and go about my business until it's time to go home. Anthony's video was just what I was thinking about.

I bought this boot not intending to ride in it (I ride dirt) but as casual wear and rainy day option. Great style, wish it had a lug sole, even a small about would go a long way as I travel to areas with snow and ice. I will check it out.

Hi I'm a size 48 in a Sidi Crossfire and where a size 13US Nike shoe. Will a 46 in these fit me or will they be too small?
Thanks
Ari J on May 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I found that these boots fit pretty much true to the sizing chart, maybe tending toward a little small. I typically wear a 10.5 shoe, so I bought the EUR 44 size boots. They fit very well and are fantastic quality boots, but I couldn't wear anything but a thin liner sock in them. If I wanted to wear thick socks, I'd definitely need a size 45. I think you'd definitely need at least a size 48 for these.
