Competition Werkes GP Slip-On Exhaust Yamaha R6 / R6S

Make the competition think twice with a GP Slip-on from CW. Competition Werkes GP Slip-On Exhausts give your bike a more aggressive look and sound. Weight is reduced and airflow is increased resulting in more power, better acceleration and quicker lap times.

All of Competition Werkes Exhausts are TIG welded by hand in the USA, resulting in a decidedly custom look reminiscent of modern GP machines. Only high-quality, laser-cut 304 stainless steel is used due to its durability and rust resistance.

Think twice? Your competition might just run the other way.

Features:

  • CNC laser cut 304 stainless steel construction
  • TIG welded by hand for a true one off look
  • Made in the USA

Note: Muffler image is for reference only, actual muffler will vary slightly depending on your bike's make and model.

It's cheap and LOUD. If you're a squid rider, buy this.
Review addresses install and performance on an '04 Yamaha R6 I performed for a customer who brought the bike in to my race shop. This exhaust looks cheap, like eBay cheap. It installed easy. It was indeed lighter, by 9 lbs over stock. It sticks out REALLY far from the side of the bike - 3 to 4.5 inches depending on where you measure. You could potentially install the full system and ride without retuning, but you'll get a lot of barking and crackling on decel from 6k rpms. The droning and noise is unbearable above 4k rpms on the street, echoing off of buildings for blocks. It has zero baffles or muting ability, so sustained highway driving or above 45mph is absolutely annoying. You WILL get a hard time even pulling this on to a track for exceeding the db limits, much more, you'll make the bike sound riced/squided-out like you're just running open exhaust and it's an untenable situation for making riding with friends pleasurable. My advice: buy something else with the money you could have spent - no hp gains and only losses to your wallet at the checkout, as well as at the court for this loud exhaust. I've never heard such a poorly designed "GP muffler" in my career of working with race bikes and street bikes.
