Cobra Fi2000 PowrPro Fuel Tuner For Harley

The Fi2000 PowrPro's Continuously Variable Tuning (CVT) has completely and permanently changed the world of motorcycle fuel injection calibration with the introduction of the Fi2000 PowrPro with CVT. With PowrPro you can say good-bye to EFI "mapping mania" and O2 sensor hassles. The PowrPro reads the bike's EFI delivery at up to 80 times per second every time the throttle is opened to optimize the acceleration air/ fuel mixture, under every kind of load and under all existing conditions.

Rather than attempting to calculate fuel demands only from the air-fuel ratio supplied by your O2 sensors and 'correcting' it to some pre-determined ratio, the Pow'rPro uses a revolutionary dyno: Your crankshaft! By monitoring at a very sensitive level the load being placed on your crank, PowrPro is able to accurately deliver fuel precisely when you need it in the amount that is required. As such, the system sends more fuel under high load, high throttle situations, and less in lighter load and throttle positions. CVT tunes as the Powr Pro reads crankshaft rotation at the flywheel and calculates load just as a dyno measures acceleration at the rear wheel.

  • Power Pro measures and adjusts fuel flow during acceleration to the injectors in micro-seconds for super-fast tuning, continuously and automatically. The net result is precise AFR adjustments up to 80 times per second!
  • This patented technology is unlike any other on the market for HD right now
  • The Power Pro is able to tune for every gear, roll-on, environmental change, engine modification, and rider style out there - because those things change. Cobra knows that every situation is unique, and the PowerPro is able to tune for those one-off scenarios every time
  • Pow'r Pro grows with you and your bike - with each modification you make, the CVT system is with you every step of the way learning, analyzing, and tuning
  • External adjustments are not necessary
  • No additional components are needed - everything you need is in the box
  • Does not require the use of wideband oxygen sensors

First off. Research before buying the Fi2000. My bike is a 2014 Street Glide and the processor part number has different designations depending on year. Also, save yourself some money cause I found the price varied from well over $500 to just over $400 on this unit. Ok, I put new pipes on my bike last year and didn't do a remap but when the weather gets hot like in the 90's my bike would sputter when taking off and when sitting at a light it sounded like it was running only on one cylinder. I was told I didn't need to remap the system and besides, the local Harley shop charged $225 bucks for a remap This year I wanted to install a K&N high flow system and knew for sure I would need to remap so purchased the Fi2000 instead of having to take it to the Harley shop. It was over $400 bucks but well worth it in the end.
It wasn't too bad hooking it up, It took me a couple hours but while the seat and tank were off I took some time cleaning those hard to reach areas on the frame and under the seat. The instructions are ok but the pictures are quite small and hard to make out what there actually showing. Each step is numbered and if followed in order pretty good. After installing the unit I tucked the wiring in the under tank trough and zip tied everything to keep it in place for a tidy look. Got the tank back on and started it up to make sure it did start. The light on the controller came on and it seemed to run ok. After getting the seat, right cover and bags back on I took it for a ride. It seemed much smoother right off the bat and being a warm day I hoped to get better results when sitting at a light. Yes, Bam... it didn't act up at the light in 90 degree heat and the roll on response is much better. The K&N high flow should be here tonight and once installed I'm good to go. Actually this thing has paid for itself saving me two trips to Harley for a remap. Cobra should do an install video which I think would be helpful. I didn't find an install video on You Tube or the Cobra web site.
Next year, a new cam... Happy trails and stay safe.
