British Customs Shockmount Retro Rear Turn Signal Kit Bonneville Street Twin

Replacing your rear turn signals has literally never been easier. The Retro Rear Turn Signal Kit is a complete pre-assembled plug ‘n play kit that allows you to quickly and easily replace the obnoxious dog ears that came stock. Complete with smoked-out retro turn signals, relocation brackets, and plug ‘n play wire harnesses, this kit allows you to personalize your bike’s tail section by allowing you to relocate your rear turn signals to the shock mount points. The turn signals tuck neatly along the bottom edge of the seat and the plug ‘n play harness just needs to be plugged into the factory turn signal harness, eliminating the need for splicing and soldering.

Features:

  • Complete pre-assembled kit for replacing and relocating rear turn signals for a clean, custom look
  • Includes smoked retro turn signals with black housing
  • Plug ‘n play wire harness connects directly and easily with the stock wire harness
  • Relocates turn signals to shock pivot points and tucks them in along the bottom edge of the seat
  • Black billet aluminum relocation brackets for durability and weight savings

Garbage hardware
I want to love these, but the included hardware is absolute garbage. I've installed both the front and rear blinkers on my bike and with both every single piece of hardware has become completely covered in rust within 2 weeks. I'm going to have to pull them off, measure every single fastener, clean up & paint whatever isn't replaceable, and order all new stainless hardware from McMaster.

They might be fine if you take the time to replace every screw, nut, and bolt with good stainless stuff, but that should not need to be done in the first place.

Great signals, NO INSTRUCTIONS.
I'm typically handy with installing accessories, but when it comes to aftermarket stuff with several bike applications, I like instructions to explain everything that's in the kit.

First, these signals are built WELL. They aren't cheap-o plastic-cased specials from aisle 4 at the auto parts shop. These are all-metal cases with no visible seams or blemishes. Wiring looks factory. Simply bolt on, plug in, and go.

Unfortunately, there are no instructions. This means that if you don't know which wire on the signal goes to which wire on the harness, you have to test for your power source and ground. Also, it varies where you can mount the signals. For my Street Twin, they mount on the inside of the frame, opposite the shock (contrary to advice given by Revzilla... although I do not blame them one bit, as they probably didn't have instructions either).

Now, chances are if you're buying aftermarket stuff for your bike, you have no issue with just throwing stuff on and worrying about the proper way to do it later. However, I prefer to have instructions, and this is one continued beef I have with some of the BC accessories. Seems they have no issue giving step-by-step instructions for mirror hole caps, but not for a fender eliminator or signals. Go figure. But maybe I'm the one that's weird.

Regardless, the signals look great, mount easily (once you figure out how), and give a nice clean and modern look to your modern classic.

Hi there, I bought the retro rear shockmount turn signal set for a t120. If I decide I'd prefer to use the original location (not shock mount) can I use the signals from the shockmount kit or are they different somehow? Thanks????
