Arai RX-Q / Corsair V / Signet-Q Cheekpads

Replacement cheek pads for Arai RX-Q, Signet-Q and Corsair V Helmets

Arai's truly unique sculpted cheekpad shape cradles the head from underneath for a level of comfort and security that needs to be felt to be believed. With more surface area, it moves away from the typical "pressure fit" to a more "comfort fit" based on the design's cradle support.  The design was influenced by Arai's F-1 drivers, the most demanding of all for fit.

Emergency Cheekpad Release System

  • This now-copied groundbreaking Arai safety innovation was specifically developed to allow easier access to an injured rider by sliding out easily, making helmet removal easier for trained medical personnel

Cheek Pad Adjustability

  • A cheek pad feature found only on Arai RX-Q and Signet-Q Helmets is a removable 5MM layer of foam. This allows more room if desired without having to purchase an entirely new cheek pad set.

All cheek pads are interchangeable between the different helmet sizes. Remember, if you need more room in the helmet you need to order a smaller (thinner) cheek pad. To make a helmet tighter, you would need to buy a larger (thicker) cheek pad.

Cheeky Pads!
I consider cheek pads a critical requirement for one's comfort when wearing a helmet. The correct size cheek pads can make the difference between a comfortable fit and an uncomfortable fit. One of the benefits of these particular cheek pads is the removable 5mm layer of foam.

If your cheek pads are too thick then consider removing the 5mm layer of foam before purchasing a different size to see if that resolves the issue.

If your cheek pads are too thin then consider purchasing 5mm larger than you think you need. In my instance this tactic worked out perfectly because that size ended up being the correct fit. If, however, those extra 5mm do indeed make the cheek pads too thick then you can remove the layer.

Be advised that installing these cheek pads does take some finagling to get them properly aligned. This is an area where SHOEI surpasses Arai in terms of ease of installation since their cheek pads traditionally snap in to place.

It is unfortunate that helmet manufacturers generally don't offer their customers a choice of cheek pad sizes when purchasing a new helmet. The additional expenditure is an unwelcome one, but, as previously stated, a critical one for one's comfort.

Arai 35mm cheek pads
Have a Signet Q in Large. After the breakin period the fit was a tad too loose. Went from the standard OEM 25mm cheek pads to the 35mm..fits MUCH better now..in fact I would probably drop down to a Medium on my next Signet Q

This product has great features -- perfect replacement fit, each pad is adjustable with a removable foam layer, available in several thickness options
In biking, as in life, it's the little things that matter most. Like Arai replacement cheek pads. For safety, comfort and convenience, the Arai replacement cheek pads work great on my Arai Signet-Q helmet. I had removed the 5MM layer of foam on the original pads, but after many months of riding, felt I needed a fit that was more snug. So I ordered the original 30MM cheek pads that came with my size XL helmet. That size now fits great for me, but Arai also offers replacement cheek pads in thicknesses from 12MM to 40MM. Arai thinks of everything. So does Revzilla.

Wonderful!!!
I ordered these cheekpads to replace the ones that came in my Arai helmet. I had jaw surgery 6 years ago and have metal plates in my face as a result. The original pads that came with the helmet (30mm) pushed on my cheeks and after 20 minutes my jaw was throbbing and I had to take the helmet off. The smaller cheekpads I ordered from your store (12mm) are PERFECT! They just touch my face without pushing or pressure. They now offer me face protection without any discomfort or pain. They shipped so fast I had them in 2 days. Thank you so much!

fine tuning the cheeks
after spending so much on the RX-Q helmet I was a little bummed that I had to shell out some extra coin for the pads. but now the helmet feels like it was custom molded for my head and is unbelievably comfortable. definitely worth every penny absolutely no pressure points.

Works great. I like the adjustability.
The adjustable cheek pads are a top-notch feature of the Arai helmet.

fit perfectly
I purchased a Arai Signet helmet which fit great on my head...but I have a very thin face and the cheek pads didn't fit tight, so I ordered the next thicker pad and was perfect. Not to loose, not to tight!

Helps insure a properly fit helmet
For my big melon and narrow face, the larger cheek inserts are a must for a properly fit helmet.

Customized fit.
Although cheekpads for Arai helmets tend to be pricey compared to other manufacturer's kit, Revzilla lessens the sting somewhat with better-than-most pricing. The cheekpads are ideal for people with skinny little heads like me, who feel the stock pads just don't provide enough pressure on the lower part of the face. When new, I like the cheekpads to cause my lips to pucker ever so slighlty - as this provides a secure fit, and fantastic feel, especially after the helmet has broken in. These (the largest option) cheekpads provide that snug fit which also has the side benefit of a slight reduction in wind noise as well. Racers, stunters, and long distance adventurers - this is the fit you want.

These cheekpads are smaller than the originals, but almost too small...
My original Arai RX-Q helmet was a bit too tight to the point my cheeks were getting pushed up towards my eyes. I'm not a chubby guy, the cheekpads were slightly too tight and this became annoying on longer rides. So I called up Revzilla who were helpful as always. They explained the standard cheekpads were 25mm and that I should go down 1 size to 20mm and if it didn't fit, I can exchange them with another size at no extra cost.

I received my order and installed the newer slimmer cheekpads. They seem a tad bit too thin but my helmet is much more comfortable now at least. I was surprised to see how much the 5mm size just one step down really felt. For anyone buying cheekpads, I'd go in small increments when making changes. You'd be surprised how much of a difference cheekpads make.
