Alpinestars Stella Vika Leather Pants

The slimmest, most form fitting and flattering motorcycle pants on the market, the Alpinestars Stella Vika Pants are the definition of style. A top-grain cowhide and stretch aramid fabric chassis is constructed to offer superb protection without distorting the female form. Contoured CE certified knee armor is also included to boost rider protection yet formed to sit close to the leg as to not be overly apparent on the outside.

From runway to road:
Though designed by Alpinestars Women’s Fashion team and with catwalk trends’ leading style, VIKA differentiates itself from its fashion counterparts by offering high-performance, cutting-edge protection. The propriety designs incorporate strategically positioned aramid stretch paneling to visually lengthen and enhance the female form while offering an optimized fit and maneuverability. The aramid stretch panels are laminated to provide additional protection from the wind. VIKA is a perfect synthesis of form and function.

Cut for Comfort:
Made from supple and durable full-grain leather with a seamless one-piece soft leather waist the VIKA Pant offers a highly comfortable fit. Pre-contoured legs and a high rear waist offer added comfort and performance while riding bike. The Pant marries effortlessly with the VIKA Jacket. The aramid paneling helps articulation and allows for great expansion fit around thigh and calf areas.

Safety features:
Lightweight, highly contoured and removable CE-certified knee protectors offer superb impact protection. These high performance protectors are perforated for maximum breathability and are reduced in thickness to help female styling.

Note: We have found that the waist of the Vika is several inches larger than the size chart recommends. We suggest you use your dress size and hip measurement for a better fit.

If you're looking for winter pants, these aren't it
These pants run WAY too small length-wise and the kneepads are oddly placed so if you're a tall person like me, there's absolutely no way to wear these in a comfortable manner.

The leather is incredibly thin and doesn't really protect from wind all too much, so I have to wear Under Armor or some other type of leggings underneath them.

No hip pockets or protectors, in fact, no pockets at all.

Wouldn't recommend, and wouldn't buy again. If these are ever on sale for $100, that's the only time I'd say sure, what the hay, get those.

TL;DR - These pants are like the Nikes of soccer cleats: they look good but they don't actually provide any benefit other than covering your skin.

Finally some pants that fit
Ive had a hell of a time finding riding pants that fit normal. Most the time the waist is too high and they end up sagging. These pants are comfortable and have a lower rise waist. They ended up being slightly bigger than I expected but once i sit on my bike, they fit right with the knee pads and everything. I don’t know how well they do on protection and I hope I don’t find out. I’m happy with this purchase.

My new favorite leather pants
Buy these right away! Very flattering fit; beautiful soft leather with good knee protection. Stretch panels strategically placed increase comfort and style. I have long legs, no tall size available but they are long enough. All womens Alpinestars pants run small IMO and these are no exception; order a full size up.

Love these pants!
These pants are everything they are advertised to be. I haven't ridden in them yet but I have worn them around the house and sat on my bike. I normally ride in one piece leathers and they seem a bit overkill and hard to manage when I am off the bike. I wanted these so that I can ride the backroads and be able to go into places that I stop at. These pants are just that, they are stylish and have way more protection than a pair of jeans. As for the fit I am 6' 0" and always a 12-14 depending on brand. I ordered these in a 48 and they fit perfectly. I was worried about the length, my Stella Motegi one piece gaps between my boots and the bottom of the suit. These don't they tuck into my boots perfectly. Overall, I highly recommend these pants and can't wait to get out on the roads.

Held up amazingly well at 70 mph crash
Well, so I learned what a tank slapper is.. at 70 mph. I flew over the handlebars and slid down the highway on my chest. The lady driving behind me stopped and held my hand until I regained consciousness so she told me what happened. Anyway, the pants. They held up beautifully... only tore a small hole by my knee on the first layer of fabric. I took a photo and attached to my Amazon review of the pants, if you’re curious. I still wear the same pants and can’t recommend them enough.

I'll never ride in Jean's again!
I cant say how much I love these! Riding in the heat of the Nevada desert these pants are the perfect pair of protection and quality.
Great airflow, especially when paired with a cooling base layer (helps keep the mesh from sticking)
Very comfortable in the lady part region, small stitching and the fabric is parts are stretchy
They stretch a Tiny bit but stay true to size. Walk around in them for awhile
Had mine for a year, were them a few times a week and not a stitch out of place!

*downside- rubber knee protectors rubbed my knees raw, never got used to them and had to take them out

Knee Not in Correct Place
I ended up not being able to find a size that fit me due to the armor placement in the knees.

I'm 5' 4" about 132lbs with a 34 inch natural waist (measured at the level of my belly button) and a 29 inch inseam. I first chose a 42 which I could get over my hips but could not close by a good 2-3 inches. So I went up to a 46 and they were much too large. Finally I got a 44 which fit great in the waist, length was mostly good but perhaps a little short for my tastes, and they were tight but I could still bend my knees. I would like to note that my butt looked amazing.

However the knee armor felt pretty high up even just standing. I put my bike on a stand and then got on it and put my feet on the pegs and sure enough the knee armor rose to well above my knee, it was 90% sitting on my thighs. I ended up returning them and getting some Dianese Pony Pants, which are a lot less sexy looking, but fit in a way that's going to actually keep me safe.

Sit on your bike before you decide to keep or return these. This leather is also definitely thinner feeling than most motorcycle pants, so provided the knee armor works for you, these will work as a "cooler" leather pants option, though they'll probably still get reasonably toasty in warmer weather.

Must Have Pants
These pants aren't cheap!...they are an investment...and for me an excellent one. I use them on every ride...Very comfortable, and they look fabulous. fabric on the inside is very nice....airy for warm weather, and I use silk long underwear for cold ...I turn the pants inside out and separate the liner from the leather to rinse out, and then clip it to a pants hanger to dry. So glad I ordered these!!

Stylish street riding pants!
Got these pants after recently going down on asphalt without knee protection and learning that very painful lesson.
For reference, I'm 5'3, 115-118lb, wear 0S or xs in street clothes. I got size 38, and would say it is snug but not skin tight and has broken in a little after a couple rides. I'm surprised the length of these pants seem to be perfect for me even though I require the 'petite' or 'short' version of most pants. The leather of these pants are modest in thickness but that makes it more comfortable in my opinion, and would likely protect against low speed abrasion type injuries. The knee inserts feel appropriate over my knees.
I plan to do mostly city riding and if I'm perfectly honest felt I wanted to not look too ridiculous walking into work or a restaurant after stepping off my bike. So these are perfect. Pretty toasty on likely 78F+ weather. I had a hard time peeling these off after a hot day of riding, but in low 70s without perspiration, these slid off effortlessly. I wore these over hiking boots (looking for a good leather riding boot still) and I had trouble zipping the pants down completely over the boot tops.
I've gotten feedback that these are look pretty sexy... hopefully I won't have to test out its durability in a spill but I imagine they should hold up fine for my purposes street riding.

Bad sizing for short people.
Nice pants, but it is apparent that Alpinestars commits the same error as many other big name outfitters: They do not seem to believe that shorter, curvier women exist. I'd gotten a pair of these as a gift for a special someone who happens to be a bit on the shorter side(4'11"), and while the size fit her waist and hips quite nicely(a 31 US corresponding to a 46 EU), the legs - of which aren't offered in any short - were very baggy and bunched up to the point of resembling a pair of ski pants; this meant that the armor along the knees were misaligned, and as such likely will not perform as intended.

So, for any women a bit on the "vertically-challenged" side, these pants - unless they offer a custom-fit option - are not really for you. Well, unless you like the ill-fitting ski-pant look.

I got the size 40 vika pants to match the jacket. I'm 120lbs, 5'4. I got the jacket in size 44, because the size 42 just seemed too tight for me.
Jenalynn F on Nov 30, 2015
The Alpinestars Vika jacket and pants appear to be high quality and have a fit that compliments a woman's body. Motorcycling is about feeling enjoyment for both partners. Feeling great about the bike, the ride, and what you wear is important.

Soft leather and a sleek, feminine look. That's what prompted me to choose this particular pant. Fingers crossed that they look as sexy and comfortable on me as they do in the picture! :)

looks great, gf loves it. smallest pant size is a bigger fit than the smallest jacket size. after riding through a hard down pour, i found out that it's pretty much water proof too.

Hi, Does the Vika pant have pockets for hip protection? I know the description says just knee protection comes with the pant but was wondering about the possibility of adding hip pads. Thanks!
Laurie B on May 22, 2014
BEST ANSWER: There are no pockets for hip protection
When do you expect to have sizes 40 or 42 available?
Cass C on Feb 25, 2016
This seems more fashion oriented than track oriented. I've not yet been to a track day but would like to go, so am buying the equipment (leather pants, leather jacket, boots, etc.) piece by piece as I can afford them. Is this track worthy, or is the leather too thin? I'm not quite sure if this is meant for the track or just meant to be a nice looking leather pant for everyday street use. Thanks.
A shopper on May 28, 2014
BEST ANSWER: These are definitely not track-oriented. I've gone to the track a handful of times, and I would not wear these (nor its matching jacket). I wear these just for the streets/freeway.
How do you clean / care for these pants?
Esme W on Sep 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I use a leather cleaner or a leather conditioner (which also includes a cleaner), to wipe the leather portion of these pants. (I got mine from Coach).
For the fabric part I would use a wet cloth to wipe/scrub it (although I haven't needed to yet).
I'm a daily rider, and I've been looking for great gear that can handle the heat and the rain equally well. How do these pants hold up when they get wet? Are they tough enough to hold up well if they were to get wet repeatedly?
A shopper on Feb 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Probably not a good idea to get these nice pants wet any extended period of time. I wear rain gear to keep the leather supple when I expect to ride in the rain longer than a few minutes
I'm a size 44 in dainese pony leather pants. Are you able to tell me what size i would be in these?
A shopper on Aug 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I bought for my wife these size 44, she was 115 at the time i bought it. It fit a bit loose even though her US size is 30 ish. I have never bought Dainese for my wife so I can't tell the size in between but I think they run a bit big,
How does the sizing work?
A shopper on Mar 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Note we are from Australia, our comment would be that the sizing was small.
Will the leather of these vika pants stretch out over time? If so, is it worth buying a size down? I have never owned leather pants but have always bought leather jackets 1 (sometimes 2) sizes down to accommodate stretching over time, and this has always worked out for me. Can I expect the leather of these pants will give to the same extent?
Kate R on Dec 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I would not buy a size down . These pants are very tight fitting. They fit like a glove . I bought my regular size and they still fit well..
Size chart puts me squarely in the S row except for my height- 68". Do you recommend I go up to a M for length? I'm 5'8", 125lbs, pretty slim but def have a booty/curvy hips and smallish (27") waist. 37" hips. 20" thigh. 30" inseam. Looking for more protection than denim with Kevlar but I'm a beginner/casual rider. What do you recommend?
A C on Sep 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I would recommend going for the M. The pants do run small. You say you are curvy .The M would probably be a lot more comfortable .
How protective are this pants? The jacket comes with shoulder pads and elbow pads, and feels quite safe, however I worry about going down in these pants since the leather is so soft. Would it hold up in a slide or crash?
A shopper on Aug 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi, I went down on a high side, not very high speed, but both jacket and pants held up pretty well just some scratches. Not sure how it would behave at hwy speeds though.
