Cliff's Notes: If you normally wear Medium/Large Alpine Stars gloves, order XXL in these.

I have worn Alpine Stars gloves for 15 years. Most recently, GP Tech and before that, GP Pro. They've been excellent gloves in almost every way.
The 10 year old GP Pro were size Medium and were always snug even after significant break in. So, I got Large with the GP Tech and they've been great, although long in the fingers.
According to the review, the Super Tech fit tighter than previous models. That's an understatement.
I ordered Large, thinking my old Techs were big on me, so these must be perfect. They arrived and I tried to break then in, but it was nearly torture.
So, I returned and ordered the XL. I had those on for maybe 20 minutes and my hands were literally throbbing. God forbid someone has the same trouble and tries to break them in and gets half an hour or more from home. That would be dangerous unless you took them off.
Seriously, I don't know if Alpine Stars has a new manufacturer or factory for these, but they (in my humble opinion) should be footing the shipping bill on all of these that are returned. They are at LEAST 1.5 sizes off, if not 2 or more.
Anyone willing to pay this kind of money for gloves likely isn't going to nickel and dime on things like this, but it's the principle. I'll probably try the XXL, but unless they literally fit "like a glove," I may be done with their gloves for a while.
Super disappointing because I've always loved their gear and couldn't be happier with their new back protector/chest protector. I love the look of these and you can tell they've upped the protection significantly, but it's a long shot getting these right the first time when buying online. This had happened with 2 pairs, so it's not an anomaly.

Upgrade gloves- warranty from GP Pro R2
I was amazed wearing these gloves; the Alpinestars GP Pro R2 Gloves I had previously purchased required a long breakin as does most leathers. But once they were broke in they fit great, breathed, and allowed great movement. Levers, readjusted for reach and you were good to go.
These gloves per the video it says to get the next size up if your previous gloves fit exact, I did when I purchased these. The fingers started off, about a ½ inch too long, the knuckle guard was very tight and the back of the hand was also very restrictive.
After a few hours ridding around, these gloves have better movement with a shorter break in period. Hand fits very well in the glove, the Velcro works as intended, and the movement of the fingers is great. Elastic in the palm allows the movement and actual cut in vents up top allow the gloves to breath, better the GP pro gloves.
Everyone asking hey “Are they better than the GP pro R2? Are they worth the extra amount of money?” No they are not-unless you hold a sponsorship- even partial from AStar- where they give a percentage off their gear. Then maybe, to say you have them.
What you get with these gloves, shorter break in period, less plastic- (thumb area ) and they breath better. Movement is the same, Velcro is easier to use with these gloves, and palm area has more padding, less vibration from the clip ons.
You ask, why did I purchase them? The short answer is AStar with RevZilla have a great warranty program they stand behind what they sell, AStar is also good to work with also on these issues. The GP Pro R2, left glove seam was coming apart. RevZilla took them back and I traded them for these, and a couple dollars. AStar- warranty-My boots the Alpinestars SMX Plus Vented, left boot zipper issues (sewn crooked), the Velcro zipper tab does not stay up and not enough room in the top of the boots for the leathers and zipper to be closed. Astar warranted the zipper and sent them back, good turnaround of a few weeks. A bad design and they look terrible with the Velcro tab flopping around in the breeze as the zipper comes undone. For the amount of money, they do not represent Astar very well, at all.
The gloves-Having worn both pairs I like the comfort level of these, but the GP Pro R2, is a better glove for the money-considering the break in periods are done. Will these gloves last longer? We shall see.

Best Pair of Gloves I Have Owned
To start these gloves are quite pricey, but I wanted to make sure I had a high level of protection on my hands. With that said these gloves have held up amazingly well. They haven't torn or ripped anywhere so far and are insanely comfortable. The air flow is also a huge plus. Basically you get what you pay for with these gloves.
