Hallelujah, it FITS.
After trying on basically every textile womens' jacket in the market under $400, this was one of my last options and I'm thrilled I gave it a shot. The textile isn't as nice as some of the higher end jackets I tried, but it's the only jacket I actually found a fit in (I'm 5'6" and 142 lbs, with long legs and a short torso, and I'm athletic with curves so finding a flattering fit was a serious challenge). On me, the size Medium (ordered per the size chart) is a sport fit ... trim, with the armor in the right places, but with room for a light layer and my back protector underneath. I can't fit a puffy insulating layer under, and I might try going up a size (to a Large) if I wanted to wear heavy layers underneath, but 90% of the time I'd rather have a trim fit, so I opted to keep the Medium. I actually prefer that it's cut a little shorter than most of the other jackets I tried, since it doesn't ride up over my hips and ride high like some of the other more trim jackets I tried did. Because it's a little shorter, and my pants are by another manufacturer, I'll likely ride with my hard back protector just to make SURE that my back is covered until I have pants that zip to the jacket (I ride a Honda CBR600rr).

Hands down, the best looking / fitting textile jacket I tried on, and I tried them pretty much all. The pockets are conveniently placed; the liner is pretty lightweight, so on cooler days I'll wear a wool sweatshirt for warmth, but even without an extra layer I stayed comfortable on a night ride this evening at 46 degrees. SO excited to finally have a jacket that fits AND functions!

Great winter jacket!
This is a great winter jacket. I started wearing it in the fall without the liner and then rode through the winter months with it in. It kept me totally dry on rainy days. There are zippers for ventilation on the arms which is thoughtful, but the waterproof material makes it very uncomfortable on warmer days since it's not breathable. I would recommend this for 2, 3 seasons at the most. I read the reviews on the men's jacket before I purchased this one and it has the same issues:
1) The collar feels tight when I have the jacket zipper all the way closed. The high collar keeps my neck covered, but the zipper presses down on my throat.
2) The loop to hang the jacket broke off within a week. It's a thick jacket and it can be difficult to hang without the loop at restaurants and work.
Overall, it's a great jacket with a few minor annoyances.
I purchased this in a small, I'm 5'2" and weigh 95lbs.

Good Ugly Jacket (After 10k Miles of Riding + Crash )
I've had this jacket for 7 months and I've ridden in it for 10k miles in any possible scenario, so thought it's a good time for some feedback.

Fit: Like most motorcycle jackets for women, the fit is pretty unflattering and does not respond to the female body shape at all (i.e. existence of breasts, a smaller waist, etc). I look like a guy when I wear this... As a designer, I have so so much frustration about the design of these apparel. But that's a whole other story and not specific to this jacket. I definitely had to sacrifice appearance for function when I bought this.

Comfort: It's pretty comfortable. It's great for cool/cold weather obviously. Has also kept me dry and warm in pouring rain. However, there have been times in long trips when the temperature went up, and I was sweating/dying in these. It would be great if it had more vents.

Protection: I low-sided wearing this and slid on asphalt for a good while, and it totally saved me some skin and probably a broken arm. So it has totally served its main purpose wonderfully, and it's still wearable (some tiny rips on elbow and abrasion on ribs).

Features: The neck strap is kinda annoying. Sometimes rubs on my neck, and the velcro sometimes grabs on to my helmet straps when I'm putting it on. Not really a big deal though.

Durability: Well I've used this jacket basically every day, and in all sorts of situations, so I think it's survived well overall. The white logos are kinda permanently gray now. The color has faded a bit, so it looks kinda purple in the sun, which is weird next to my black Dainese pants that have managed to retain their color.

Great Jacket
This jacket fits really well through the body. I am 5'6 and 120 pounds. The arms were a bit short, so I will need to buy new gloves to cover my wrists. Overall, this was a great purchase. Breathable and stylish!

What is the biggest difference between this Stella Gunner and the Stella T-Jaws? I tried the t jaws in store in a size small and it seemed to fit snug, a bit short on the back. It seems as though the Gunner provides more coverage for the lower back. Also, I noticed the t jaws has a zipper and velcro at the wrist for adjustment and it looks like the gunner only has the velcro adjustment. How well adjusted is the gunner to the entire arm?
I am a 5'2" 110lbs female with a '04 Honda rebel 250cmx which is a standard/cruiser style sitting position. It seems as thought the Gunner may be more of an appropriate fit for my type of riding position because it like like the tjaws is more sport cut for a forward sitting position.

Any feedback is welcomed :)

hello would love to now wich is best stella alpinestars stella t-gp plus air lady jacket or stella t-Jaws?
A shopper on Apr 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have both jackets.

The Plus Air is great for the summer. The jacket is mesh with armor in the shoulders and elbows. It provides total air circulation.
The T-Jaw is great for fall and winter with the liner and great for spring with the liner removed since it's breaks the wind. The jacket has a waterproof coating so it’s not breathable in warm weather. It's actually clingy when it's hot out.
I would say these are both the best for the season they were designed for. Neither of these are 4 season jackets.
Does this jacket provide accommodations for the Alpinestars Women's Bionic Chest Pads?
A shopper on Aug 28, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes!

Chest compartments come with replaceable poly-foam padding (Alpinestars Bionic chest pads available as accessory upgrade).
