Reviews & Questions
Cons: After literally one day of riding, the shoes had fallen apart. The stitching that attaches the paper-thin piece of ankle protection came undone. This caused the loose flap of plastic to get caught on my foot-peg, preventing me from putting my foot down, and resulting in my bike to tipping over onto my leg. After I picked my bike up, I saw that the shoe had melted from being too close the the exhaust. These shoes offer about as much protection as a pair of high-top Vans, but cost 3x as much and only lasted one day.
I wear size 12 Nikes and this size 12 fit just like my Nikes.
My 16 year old daughter thinks they are cooler than my boots. (Is that good or bad?)
Stylish - They don't look like the regular Converse All Star knock offs that the rest of the riding shoes seem to emulate.
Comfortable - I wear them all day in an office setting. Haven't walked too far yet, but they seem pretty sturdy. The break in period is also very short. It only took about an hour for them to stretch out enough to stop squeezing my foot.
Quality Control - This one is strange to me because there are small things that don't really affect the shoe. Such as one shoelace is about 6 inches longer than the other.
Upkeep - The canvas on the outside of the shoe is very sturdy and high quality, but picks up every little piece of dirt, grime, oil, etc. that you come across. Cleaning is hit or miss. It is a neutral point for me because I didn't expect riding shoes to stay clean for long.
Grip - The bottoms are flat. Grip is slightly below average. Foot has slipped off the brake pedal once or twice
Out of all of the shoes I looked at, these caught my eye because they aren't wanna-be Chucks. The quality seems average for the price. You just need to remember, these are shoes, not boots. There is a reinforced heel, but if you are canyon carving in these, I wouldn't expect to walk away without at least a couple of broken toes if you go down.

The only "issue" has been the tread on the shoes, especially where you rest them on the footpegs. The vibrations has essentially worn off all of the tread in the area but the remaining tread on the sole has remained intact.
I picked up the Black/Grey, and these are great looking shoes. They aren't very protective, they are thinner with less padding than your typical riding shoes so I'm sticking to wearing these for shorter rides and have alternatives for longer or more aggressive rides. The black outersole won't show much wear, however the grey may. I've used these now a handful of times and I don't have any complaints in how they hold up yet.
They do fit on the smaller side, order a half size up, maybe even a full size.
