Tried to make it work
I bought this glove twice because I love the style and I have an alpinestars brera jacket to match it. The small seemed like a perfect fit but my thumb was bunching up against the leather on the clutch hand that I had to get rid of the size small. I ordered another size small wondering if the original pair was defected but I couldn't fit my hand into it. So then I ordered up a size medium.

After putting in a few hundred miles in them, I figured it's time to look for another pair of gloves. The medium fits alright I guess but the leather is tough and starts to crumble when holding my handlebars. I thought I would get over it but it just put too much fatigue on my hands do to how uncomfortable it was.

The zipper a joke too. There is no way to adjust the tightness of the wrist so if you have small wrist and are going down then you better count your blessings that the glove doesn't fly off the first chance it gets. I've lost a tall leather boot before in a crash and these feel less safe.

Lastly, the gloves seem to have some break in under the finger tip area. The leather looks like it's cracking and turning gray. I think it's because it's drying out or something. Maybe thats supposed to give it a cool rugged aged look but I'm not digging it that much.

Like my original pair of smalls, these mediums are going on eBay too.

If style and lack of any real protection or comfort is your thing, then I would suggest these gloves. And please place a bid on my eBay listing :)

Not Disappointed
First I would say, if this style is important to you, it is certainly worth the purchase. I purchased these as cooler weather glove, lower 50F. They are a bit on the snug side even with the correction for Euro sizing. I think that is one reason you would not be able to find them useful in temperatures below 50F. Not sure you would want to go much above high 60's with them either, guess that would depend on your ride length. I found them to be a bit much early in the ride, but was glad they were there after an hour. The ride I used them was from around town, to interstate over 75mph. Feeling the throttle was no problem.

As they are new and season is closing here in GA, I don't have comments about the durability.

Awesome looks
Well I have been waiting for a peer review of these but I couldn't no longer wait so I just went ahead and order them. Got them this morning and took them for a ride around town. The design was spot on, and the main reason why I chose them. Was undecided between these and the Robinson (Im also considered the SS and RSD). Glad I went for these but Im sure if the Robinson would be great too. The palm in the photo look super cheap compared to actual look. Brown is actual brown, think dark caramel chocolate not creamy coffee nor tobacco shade.
My hands are size M in surgical gloves. But I have the Revit H2O size med that fit loose and Revit SandPro size S which fit a bit tight at first but loosen up and now fit snug yet comfortable. So I went with size S, hoping it will stretch. A bit tight around the fingers, good length (I have long fingers), cuffs easy to get in and out of. Leather seems to be very good quality, easy to break in (was tight but now snug after 30mi). Stitchings are good, others than a few frayed ends.
Complaints that I would have are the right thumb inner stitchings joining the thumb and rest of the gloves rub/press against my thumb while holding the throttle. I have to shift my thumb occasionally due to this. The right pinky paddings also seemed to be a lot harder than the left, and I also have to unclench it now and then. Air flow seems to be minimal, thus Im thinking above 85F it would make for some sweaty hands. And when your hands are sweaty, the interiors of the gloves can deposit small lints(?).
Overall, great looks and quality materials. Fit snug but can be broken in. Not too breathable but it is leather. Get it if you trying for cafe/retro looks. Hmm come to think of it I may get the Robinson too... Hehhe

Charming gloves
Bealtiful and confortable. I went for the XL as recommended by the site, but I thought it fitted a little bit large in my case. An X would fit perfectly.

Stylish, but with a price
When they say these gloves are narrow, THEY AREN'T KIDDING. I'm a solid large in every single other alpinestars glove, but these little guys. NOPE. Way too small, went up to XL. The palm still feels too small but now the fingers are too long but too skinny at the same time. I have a pair of GPXs that fit perfectly but wanted something more retro for my cafe bike. Look elsewhere unless you have skeleton hands.

I love these! Goes with Roland Sands Ronin too!
I have very long fingers and wide hands yet I am a thin framed person, therefore all gloves are trade-off: short fingers and tight/proper wrists, or loose wrists and proper fingers and palm. These gloves were interesting, they fit with the fingers a little long at all times until they have some heat in them... the break-in is different, the more I wear them, the tighter the fingers have become and the more they have contoured to my actual hand. The complaints of zippers Coming Undone I only see on an occasion, some people complain as if it is a constant issue and if that is the case I would call alpinestars and say hey guys, my zippers don't stay shut. This comes from a guy with extra loose wrists so you would imagine that's my zipper's Come Undone. They do not to breathe the best, when sitting still, but it does add in how the leather Contours to your hand under Heat. These are the first pair of gloves I've ever had that fits tighter the warmer they get but are extremely comfortable and finally I have the coolest style that goes with my Ronin jacket. All in all, I would dismiss all complaints that you see in any of the reviews, if there's ever an issue it seems to be a single doubt issue and people just like to chime in when something goes wrong, I think these are amazing I would have complained whenever I first got them if I wasn't a person with an open mind but instead I took them and I rode with them on the bike and you're not supposed to do that to return them but the style is just too good and I knew that if I went one size smaller it wouldn't fit my fingers. If you want something very stylish, that still offers you decent protection, look no where else. in fact the only thing better are super hard and Knuckles and you won't find that in this style of glove. Speaking of Knuckles, the interior Knuckles are padded so when you flex your hands it is cushioned also. These gloves get a 5 out of 5 on my rating even though nothing is ever perfect.

Great Glove Overall
Been looking for a retro-inspired glove with for a long time until I stumbled upon these. I wanted something more than just a leather skin that most cafe riders rocked.

I ordered the brown. They look darker and more caramel coloured than the picture displays, which is a good thing.

The fit is slightly smaller than other brands of the same size, while the thumb is disproportionally long. Hopefully the leather will stretch slightly over time. As others have mentioned, the zipper tends to come undone when riding if not not properly tucked away.

As for the protection, I love the hard knuckle protection, covered by soft leather. However, I wish the palms had the same, hard material instead of just extra padded hard foam.

Overall if you're looking for retro-inspired gloves with modern tech, these are probably the best you're going to find right now at this value. Highly recommended! ++

Almost my Ideal Glove.
I got this glove in the tobacco color.

It's been nearly impossible to find a glove that matched my jacket, not only did this match colorwise closer to any glove I've tried, it also looks better than most gloves I've seen, and even has armored knuckles. It's also VERY comfortable, though I'm sure it achieves that through some sacrifice in rigidity (It's definitely not like the racing gloves I race with).

That said, the reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because: 1. It's not cheap, 2. The zipper doesn't stay zipped, and 3. the middle 3 fingers are the perfect length, but the pinky is a tad too long, and the thumb a tad too short (It could just be because I have non-regular fingers though).

Love Them
After riding for so long with dirtbike gloves and having the feeling of having complete hand control, these are probably the pair gloves that feel the best. Just waiting to brake them in.

The zipper looks like it ends perfectly positioned to scratch up a watch. Can anyone comment on if there is a leather liner on the inside or something to prevent this?
Alex H on May 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: There isn't a liner under neath the zipper. My watch tends to unzip the glove, but even unzipped the glove fits well. I haven't noticed additional wear on my watch, but it's also pretty inexpensive so I'm not very protective.
