Extremely comfortable and great protection.
I bought these boots after watching a lot of the review videos. I can verify everything that was said in the review. The boots were comfortable right out of the box and got more so. After wearing them for a month or so, I went on a 1500 mile trip throughout Colorado. The boots were great - kept me dry in the rain (fortunately only one day) and warm when it was cold (almost every morning). The Gore-Tex even allows them to breath - my feet never got sweaty. I would definitely recommend them.

Great boots
Bought these to replace my Alpinestars smx-5 boots that were falling apart (malleolar protections fell off) after 6 years of moderate use .

I was initially looking at the Rev'it boots since that is what the rest of my gear is, but they didn't have any designs that I liked. Also by reading the reviews, I didn't get a good feeling about the waterproof material Rev'it uses.

I haven't ridden in the rain yet, so I don't know how well these hold up in the wet. However, Gortex is what we used in the Army and that stuff is great.

I really like the ratcheting system of the A*. It takes longer to get in and out of when compared to the SMX-5, but I think it gives a better overall custom fit.

I cannot comment on the durability since I just got them, although I am quite confident they should last me over 5 years like my last ones.

I was afraid that these waterproof boots would be too hot compared to my previous vented boots, but so far it is fine. Maybe my opinion will change once summer rolls around.

I haven't walked long distances with them, but on my regular errands, they are comfortable walking around with.

I would buy these again. Very happy so far with them.

Keeping it - Like it so far!
OK, lets get the "con" out of the way first: with the buckle, these feel clunky! I'm new to motorcycling and moto-specific gear, but compared to other riding shoes and boots, the ratcheting buckle makes these ankles look huge.
Alright, with that said, the rest of the boot is awesome! The fit is great out of the box. I am usually a US size 10, bought the 44, and the boot is marked US size 9.5, but the fit is great. Flexes in all the right places, and is very comfortable. Bought these as well as the Dainese TRQ-Tour to try/compare, and while the TRQ-Tour (CE-level 1) felt like a custom-made boot from the ankles up, these feel much more protective (labeled CE-level 2) and cushy, like my favorite pair of hiking boots. Toes bend at exactly the right places, enough room in the toe box to feel relaxed and not cramped (but not swimming either). The TRQ-Tour's toe box was just too narrow, and the shoe didn't want to bend at the right places for me. The only modification I'll have to do to the Mono Fuse, is to cut down the ratchet strap a few clicks, since it bottoms out before it's "snug" on me. They're secure, just not as snug as I'd like it to be.
These boots also don't seem to breathe as well as the Dainese TRQ-Tour, but are much more protective, and full cow hide instead of perforated synthetic. I get sweaty feet anyways, so I think I'll be warm regardless. My feet just FEELS really good in these. Right at home.

Heel too loose, strap and buckle don't help
The boots are beautiful. I wanted them to fit. I couldn't make it happen. My forefoot is wide and that part is fine. But the heel of these boots is very wide and feels sloppy. Like another reviewer I trimmed the ratchet strap a bit and got a slightly tighter fit. But not tight enough to feel like they really fit.

Flawed, but fixable
First, regarding sizing. The Euro 44 is marked as a US 9.5 on the tag, but Revzilla is correct when they say a 44 fits more like a US 10-10.5. The width runs wider than most brands too.

I bought these because I have a wide foot at the toes, but my ankle, calf and heel are a little scrawny. Previously, I've only gotten a snug ankle fit from wide (size 10W) lace-up tactical boots, which don't have motorcycle-friendly soles or reliable rain barriers. I bought the mono fuse hoping Alpinestars' generous widths with the ratcheting strap would finally give me a decent fit in boot with all the correct riding features.

Unfortunately, the ratcheting strap bottomed out well before reaching a decent ankle fit. To fix this, I trimmed about 5 "steps" from the end of the plastic strap, which allowed me to click the ratchet 5 more steps tighter before bottoming out. They're still not super snug, but tight enough. I may need to shorten the strap more as they break in.

I've yet to ride my first mile in them, but so for they fell great walking around. Stiff at first, but break in seems to be coming quickly. I predict these will be a keeper for many miles.

I deducted 1 star because the ankle and calf straps don't accommodate thinner legs.

Excellent touring boot
I've been wearing these boots for about 3 weeks now and they are incredible comfortable. The sizing is accurate and the quality is what you would expect in this price range. They are comfortable both riding and walking. Highly recommend.

The perfect Commuter Boot
Revzilla review was right on target! I am happy with my choice because of the sizing, comfortability, flexibility and they keep my feet dry. The perfect commuter boot for going back and forth to work. Sometimes I forget I have them on and they are stylish too. Alpine you did a great job with this one.
