This product Is great for a on and off the bike shoe!
I Love these boots. I purchased a pair of the Joeys because I wanted a boot I could wear on and off the bike, and this fit the bill perfectly.

Pros: It is Comfortable! I wear them all day to class, and have no problems walking around.

The Protection is surprisingly good! these boots feel solid, They would actually provide protection in a fall.

They are incredibly breathable. Perfect for hot summer days, while riding you feel the airflow through your entire shoe. That being said even when its colder (40F in my exp) they will keep your feet warm.

Not "Waterproof" but definitely water resistant, had a dry foot after riding in the rain.

Styling!!!! The entire reason I got these is because they look just like vans under a pair of jeans. They are great for a vintage look.

Cons I really don't have any... they may be a bit bulky but not much more then a pair of vans. These really are great.

favorite shoes
I love these shoes, a little pricey but I'm glad I bought them. As for the fitting, I bought them a half size small and they fit great. To give a comparison in the sizing I wear a size 8 in converse chuck Taylor's and I bought a 7.5 joey shoe and it fits great! the shoe is almost the same length as my converse shoe compared side to side.

Normally I wear chuck Taylor's and that is why i loved this shoe. It gives me the look i want with simple protective upgrades all while still being comfortable off the bike. These are SUPER great shoes off the bike, super casual and comfortable.

10/10 would buy again!

Better protection than regular sneakers but just as comfortable
My idea was to buy a pair of shoes I could wear all day comfortably and still provide some protection when riding around town for short stints. Well, mission accomplished! The Joeys provide exactly that, basic motorcycle protection with all-day comfort and understated styling that will not scream "I just climbed off my bike".
I wear them in S. Florida in intense heat and humidity and they are adequate for those conditions, with good ventilation and breathability. The padding around the ankles is comfortable and not too bulky.

Stylish and Comfortable!
These shoes are lightweight and nicely padded without being bulky. There is no need to change upon reaching your destination because you can wear these all day. I am very pleased with the amount of protection they offer considering they are a shoe and not a boot. This is perfect for the riding I like to do since I don't do track days nor am I interested in riding at speeds that will cause me to lose my license. I bought them a half size smaller than my normal shoe size and they fit perfect. They are expensive, but I would buy them again.

Good comfort for rides and walking around.
Bought this product on my regular 9.5 shoe size, if i buy them again once these wear out ill definitely buy the size 9. The comfort is great for long or short rides plus the style of them is great. The airflow is better than any other shoe I've worn while riding so coming up to the hot summer its going to be great to keep my feet cool. Overall a great product that I would get again in a heatbeat.

Great shoe for casual riding
This shoe worked perfect for the reason I purchased it. I wanted a shoe to ride casually to school and around town, but something that offers a little more protection than just normal sneakers. This shoe is perfect for that. I wouldn't recommend it for anything else but that. Protection is minimal but better than normal shoes. It looks like it would hold up going down at around town speeds but not freeway speed. Shoe is stylish and comfortable. I can wear them all day with no problem. Shoe fits true to size. I wear 10.5-11 depending on the shoe. I purchased a 10.5 because everyone said there is a little extra room in the toes. I did not feel that extra room. It fit me a tiny bit short but not uncomfortable enough to pay the shipping fee to return. Over all great shoe for casual riding.

These Alpinestars Joeys shoes are great.
These Alpinestars Joeys shoes are great. They are a bit expensive but they are a pretty cool shoe that you can wear any place.
Tall enough to protect your ancles. Firm heel box and toes.
All in all I think they are great shoes. I would but them again.

Great Air Flow
I purchased this shoe as an alternative to the TCX X-Rap which is my normal riding shoe/boot. The TCX, being leather, does not have much air flow at all which is miserable for summer riding. In contrast, this Alpinestars Joey shoe flows air very well and has kept me comfortable even at 90 degrees.

It is a stylish shoe that I don't mind wearing off the bike when I arrive at my destination. It has been very comfortable to wear all day long and does exactly what I was hoping. The only downside is that the soles of these shoes are slick. They will slide fairly easily on asphalt and that has me worried that they will fail me if I have to put my foot down quickly.

I siped the soles of my shoes (cut grooves into them) to try and help with this but they still are slippery. I'm hoping this will improve with a little more riding and scuffing of the soles.

Overall, it's a great pair of shoes that I would recommend buying.

good shoe, but could be better
I bought these replace my shift kicker shoes, and while they're okay they could definitely use some improving. The biggest thing I miss is the ankle latch that keeps the shoelaces up and away from my pegs. The non waterproof model has lots of airflow. Feels like the whole shoe breathes, so it won't be good for when the weather gets colder. The insoles are removable which is nice cause I like putting my own ones in.

These are pretty expensive compared to other choices out there, especially for what you get.

Overall I would buy them again I just wish Shift racing still made street gear

cool sneaker
Overall I like the look of the sneaker. It has a classic look to it and great details.

In terms of protection, it is a step above a normal sneaker like a converse chuck taylor. But the protection will not compare to a real riding shoe/boot.

I have a pair of the Joey WP and was involved in an accident with them. I got a bad bruise on my lower shin. Had I been wearing my typical riding boots the injury on my lower shin wouldn't have occured. I did not have any injuries or abrasions to my feet so maybe the joey WP shoe did perform well.

The Joey vs the Joey WP. The Joey WP is made of a thicker material that has suede feel to it. The Joey is canvas. I feel the Joey WP is better in terms of abrasion durability.

I will only use the Joey non-water proof shoes as a sneaker only. Expensive for a sneaker but they are a very comfortable.
