Reviews & Questions
However. I'm 5'11, 175 lbs, slim/medium build, 42" chest, 32" waist. My ONLY problem with this jacket, especially being a summer jacket, is that the armpit area is way too TIGHT. Even wearing just a t-shirt and the jacket liner removed. I do not have big arms either. If this jacket had another 1 or 2 inches of room in the armpit / upper bicep area, it would clearly be a 5-star winner, no doubt.
Other negligible gripes - there's no 8" pants connection zipper (like my AGV Dragon has), only a 270. Not the end of the world there. Also, AGV used to ship jackets with a nifty AGV logo'd jacket hanger - this jacket did not come with one. Booo. Again, super minor.
I'd recommend this jacket but with reservation: IF you have a super-slim build, mainly your upper arms, then go for it. But for me, even trying sizes 42 & 44, the snug arms unfortunately were a deal breaker.
Going to try the AGV Sport Breeze for a vented summer riding jacket instead.
Back to the AGV jacket. I have used it 2-3 hours/week and have had nothing but positives about it. It is sturdy, fits well (6 ft, 185lbs, 40 in chest, 31 in waist), and is very visible. I wanted a hi-vis leather jacket without looking like I stood too close to a Japanese nuclear plant and this is perfect. The ventilation is excellent but this is really a 2-season jacket even with the vest in. I got caught in a 2 hour rain storm in 50 degree weather without a rain overcoat and it was COLD.
The protection seems good but fortunately I have not given it a real world crash test. i replaced the flimsy backfoam with a proper Forcefield Pro Backpad.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this jacket.
My measurements are: 5'7.5 tall, 33" waist, 24" arms, 42" chest, athletically built. I'm at the cusp of the size 42 and it has a nice snug Euro fit! Everything on this jacket screams quality built! The size 42 fit me like a second skin. Even with the windproof vest, long sleeve thermal shirt, and a short sleeve Under Armour t-shirt, I still had a comfortable fit! The precurved sleeves felt great and the arm armor stayed in place, no matter my positions, when in the 3/4 and full tuck riding positions! I really noticed the wind bock in the full tuck position. I didn't feel any wind get through the chest/torso areas, a little bit of wind in the arms in the 3/4 tuck and when I occasionally sat up on my 2006 Honda RC51.
I had NO problems zipping this to my AGV Sport Willow track pants, so I'm not sure why the other rider left that comment, no zipper mods needed to make a two piece track suit!
I rode yesterday in 36 degree temp, and I stayed warm!
Even at speeds over triple digits, for 40+ minutes, the jacket and pants kept me warm, and helped me ride in better form. I can't say enough about how impressed I am with my new jacket and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a solidly built, Euro fit jacket that garners mad compliments, but doesn't break the bank!
Special shout outs to Luke for flowing me stickers and a handwritten note, he was patient with me and answered all of my questions! Jay and Amanda for being patient and helping me out too, Zilla sales team rocks!
My ONLY gripes were: the jacket in the product video has the leather zipper tabs for the sleeves, but they were deleted on both the size 42 and 44 jackets I received. The manufacturer deleted the tabs, probably better because the tabs would catch on gauntlet gloves. The backpad mentioned in the video review was also deleted. It doesn't matter because Amanda hooked me up, and I ordered a Level 2 back protector, I could've used the back pad for a template to cut the Level 2 pad, when it comes in. It would've been nice if the windproof vest was long sleeve, but you can comfortably wear this in 36 degree weather, with good base layers.
Anthony said go a size up in the video, I know this is applicable if your height is 5' 10" and taller. To me, this jacket is true to size and gives me a nice slim fit around the torso/waist area, the armpit problem I read about is nonexistent, and the chest area feels racer snug, EXACTLY what I was hunting for!
Many thanks to Team Revzilla, BUY THIS JACKET.

Good quality jacket that incorporates many of the features found in more expensive lines of gear. I'm 188lbs, 6'0" & medium build and it fits like a glove with my Knox back protector- inner liner removed.
My personal issues with this jacket are the zippers. The main zipper is Euro so its opposite side, not such a bad deal and I'll just have to get used to it. But, the 360 waist zipper was opposite direction of my leather AGV willow pants. If you own these pants, you may need to take it to a tailor and have them reverse the zipper line. Another solution is to make an adapter zipper for the jacket by buying a secondary 36" #8 Vislon YKK zipper and stitch it to the separator zipper AVG supplies with the jacket.
Other than that, I would recommend this jacket for the track and of course the street.
This jacket size runs small for the most part. As the other review said, the armpits run really high up and very uncomfortable. The bicep area was a little tight(felt like a size 40), but the forearms/wrist opening was a little loose(felt like a size 44). The waist/chest was tight(like a size 40) ,but I felt the width of the top part of the jacket(between the shoulders, upper chest /back) was a little large(size 44).
I feel like if i ordered a size up, the fit would just be awkward. It seems like a solid jacket but I recommend trying it on first before buying it.
